  1. Rose and jasmine together, I don't have my hopes up!

In the bottle: ROSE². Funnily enough, I quite like it, it's very much rose, but not the cloying old lady's rose.

On my skin: on me, it's quite strong and not watery at all. Still rose, of course, with something sour (hello jasmine!) trying to make an appearance.

After a while: arf, jasmine soap! Still a hint of rose, but it doesn't make it any better.

Verdict: terribly surprising, yeah... NOT for me!

  2. In the bottle: ouch, that scares me off. It's very perfumey. Blooming flowers.

On my skin: big yellow stain... erm, I mean... quite special. Still floral, but not cloying anymore, and there's a bit of a herbal note as well.

After a while: it stays very heavy... heavy old woman's flowers (probably pensies). I don't like it at all.

Verdict: get if off of me!!

  3. In the bottle : very light and fresh. There's some melon in there. Flowery melon, to be precise.

On my skin: it gets all floral, very powerful (and yet light) white flowers. It's very pretty but I can't imagine wearing this, as I'm not a floral fan.

After a while: it gets very pretty... it feels like very light white musk with a touch of unidentified flower. I wish I didn't have to wait for at least 2 hours to get this because it's really a very elegant fragrance, the kind of floral I could wear quite often.

    Verdict: the imp will do.

  4. In the bottle: sickly sweet. Vanilla and something like hazelnut (not exactly that though).

On my skin: buttered vanilla, and something sour and bitter (grapefruit?).

After a while: encensey jasmine. I don't like jasmine and it seems vanilla has totally faded away to let jasmine take all the room.

Verdict: really not my kind of scent.

  5. In the bottle: lots of cider and wine, and some caramel. I don't smell the flowers at all.

On my skin: amber and wine. It's okay. Not at all what I expected but not bad.

After a couple of hours: ah carnations, hello! Carnations and amber. I quite like this stage, I must say.

Verdict: mmm I might give it a second chance, even if it hasn't been love at first sight.

  6. In the bottle: oh my god, it's horrible... red musk and cassia... and leather, and something woody. EEk you should add patchouli and you'd be sure I'd throw up.

On my skin: leather and cassia. Lots of leather, some cassia and a hint of sugar cane. I don't like it and the cassia feels uncomfortable on my skin.

After a couple of hour: still red musk and the occasional cassia. I don't like it at all. I never had any mango from this... mango would have made the whole experience so much better :P

Verdict: not even trying the imp a second time.

  7. In the bottle: cucumber salad, plus something grass, and maybe a hint of white floral.

On my skin: cucumber, cucumber all over. That's marvelous :P

After a couple of hours: still cucumber, and some florals, I'm quite sure there is some white floral here. But it's very discreet and very beautiful. It's not very grass as I was afraid it'd be.

Verdict: I'm keeping my imp at the very least. I'm sure it should be perfect layered with something very sweet, or something with coconut.

  8. In the bottle: very strong and indeed exotic lily.

On my skin: heavy lilies, nearly cloying. It's a beautiful lily scent but I couldn't imagine wearing this for a whole day. I'd end up with a migraine.

After a couple of hours: lily still but with lots more spices. It makes it even less to my liking.

Verdict: no (but I never liked any scent with lots of lilies anyway).

  9. In the bottle: very fruity. Lime and bergamot jump to my nose first. Sniffing a little more, I get grapefruit! Very pink grapefruit!

On my skin: it gets warmer, citrus cream or anything. It's a feel good, energetic scent.

After a couple of hours: in the drydown phase, I get lime and grapefruit, plus some sweet delicate rose. Not cloying.

Verdict: I don't need one more citrussy scent but if I did, I'd go for Croquet for sure.

  10. In the bottle : Oh my, that's weird. I was expecting something 100% floral (I focussed on the rose part in the description) and what do I get? Something foody. It smells like cake, maybe sponge cake.

On my skin: haha burnt plastic of course. But the rose is showing. So, it gives me rose-scented burnt plastic. At least, it's not common.

After a couple of hours: it burns more and more and more, so I finally had to wash it off.

Verdict: foody, so, not for me.

  11. In the bottle: fresh, red, juicy apple. I feel like biting in it!!

On my skin: apple stays forward, but there's something else, something sharper, something darker that I'm not sure I recognize (I'd go for oleander though).

After a couple of hours: it fades away quite quickly, without morphing much.

Verdict: quite lovely, but I'd do without the "poisoned part" (opium and oleander). I don't think I need more.

  12. In the bottle: skin musk. Very strong skin musk. I'm having an attraction/repulsion reaction. I don't like it but I can't stop sniffing it.

On my skin: musk and frankincense (that would be the spiced Moroccan stuff, I guess). I still don't really like it, but find it terribly sensual, nearly animal. I don't get any caramel (which is good as it always ends up as burnt plastic on me) and only a hint of honey (good too as my skin amps honey like crazy). I cannot stop putting my wrist to my nose, and each time I think "no, but..." and so I sniff again.

After a couple of hours: spiced honey. The musk has calmed down finally.

Verdict: I know this is not "me", but I might very well keep the imp because it makes me feel so bloody sexy!

  13. In the bottle: church incense, a floral I don’t recognize and something a little woody.

On my skin: mostly frankincense and orris too. Not a combination I’m really fond of.

After a couple of hours: still lots of orris, but it becomes a little more floral too. It reminds me of Midnight Mass but it’s a little less heavy on the incense.

Verdict: I’m not one for frankincense.

  14. In the bottle: it smells like some 70’s perfume (Opium, maybe). Not the same kind as Stardust though. There’s patchouli, but not the usual patchouli-curse. And it has a very lovely red colour.

On my skin: very perfumey, very musky, very feminine. Some patchouli, but a soft, feminine patchouli. I couldn’t tell why but I think this is the right scent for a spider-girl. I can’t smell any blackcurrant and I regret it.

After a couple of hours: all floral. Mostly lilies. Very feminine, very classical…

Verdict: I love it but not for me. That’s the kind of perfume I would imagine my mum (or any glamorous mother) to wear. But not me.

  15. In the bottle: very strong, very dark, very masculine. Cinnamon and tobacco smoke.

On my skin: applied with tons of caution. Cinnamon and something incensey (myrrh, I suppose). Not unpleasant.

After a couple of hours: some more smoke, and something that I think, is myrrh. Cinnamon has faded away.

Verdict: okay but not my kind of blends.

  16. Very medicinal : lemon and eucalyptus. I tried it when I had sore ankles one day, put some “ugh” on before going to bed, and it gave me the impression to get some relief. Placebo effect, maybe, but as long as it works and the scent is not annoying, I’m not complaining.

  17. Fresh, clear mint. Lovely! I adore this smell.

I don’t know if it works against headaches because *touches wood* I didn’t get any headache lately, but it will certainly work as a comfort scent anyway.

  18. My god, it smells exactly like Vicks Vapo Rub (mostly eucalyptus)! But it does work as a sinus relief stuff.

Still, I wouldn’t want to smell like that if I don’t have a serious cold.

I might still consider a bottle because, hey, it works!

  19. In the bottle: fruity fruity fruit. They're all mixing together, and I couldn't single any note out.

On my skin: a very lovely blend of citrus, something sugared, and tons of mandarin. I like it to be sure.

After a couple of hours: after being fruity for quite a long time, it ends up more classically 'perfumey' and a little floral.

Verdict: lovely, but I have so many scents, I'm not sure I'll keep the bottle.

  20. In the bottle: buttery chocolate with some hazelnut (where does this come from?)

On my skin: butter, chocolate and cardamom. it's quite pleasant, it doesn't burn, but it's still a tiny bit too foody for me.

After a couple of hours: the chocolate ends up in honey. I know honey is not listed, but I'd swear that's what I smell: the very typical (overpowering on me) Bpal honey.

    Verdict: not really my thing.

  21. In the bottle: fruity, exotic sandalwood.

On my skin: Incense all over. Fresh, clean incense, while I was expecting something smokey. I don’t mind smelling like that, but that’s pretty much it, I’m not so keen either.

After a couple of hours: now this is a morpher. It’s all floral now… therefore, definitely not for me.

    Verdict: no.

  22. In the bottle: lavender vanilla with the tiniest trace of rose. So far, it’s heavenly!

On my skin: lavender vanilla. Very pretty, very girly… there’s some white musk too. I love it!!!

After a couple of hours: sugared vanilla and lavender… it makes me think of fresh linen too (and that’s a very good thing). Very feminine and light purple.

Verdict: I need more than my ½ imp. I don’t need a bottle because this is not the kind of smell I’d wear on a daily basis, but I’ll go looking for one decant or two.

  23. What a name! I hope I don’t fall in love, I’ll never be able to remember it. Reading the ingredients, I don’t think I will like it anyway.

In the bottle: smokey incense and sandalwood. It smells like inside a catholic church.

On my skin: More sandalwood, amber and incense.

After a couple of hours: honey is amping up (Bpal honey develops like crazy on my skin), but it cannot totally kill the sandalwood.

Verdict: quite pretty, but not the kind of things I’m wearing. This is one of the first times when honey is civilized and would be wearable though.

  24. In the bottle: aquatic, fresh and clean

On my skin: ooh, nice. A little salty, still very aquatic, with distinctive seaweeds.

After a couple of hours: doesn’t morph much. Still a very clear smell of ocean. I don’t get any jasmine but there’s the tiniest almond showing up… it goes very well with the seaweed (to my surprise!). It has quite a good throw, especially considering aquatics are often faint on me.

Verdict: it’s gorgeous. Now the question is: am I going to wear it? I really like aquatics, but I noticed I never think of wearing them… still, I’m pretty much in love with Thalassa!

  25. In the bottle: weird and heavy! Caramel with some orange blossom… it smells like some chocolate we have over here.

On my skin: burnt plastic (aka caramel) eats everything else. I suppose what I take for caramel is sugared cream… anyway, all those foody stuff end in burnt plastic on me, so, I don’t really care for them.

After a couple of hours: burnt plastic and pepper. I never got any flower out of this.

Verdict: I didn’t expect Zarita to be this kind of foody fragrance at all… but like all the other foody stuffs, it is not for me.
