  1. Meanwhile (and although December is the worst month of the year for me, by far, and I totally feel you GWT as I also have no family or local friends to celebrate with -and nothing to celebrate, but that's another story), I'll have the 12 days of Xmas up and running ASAP.

It's usually one of the few things that cheer me up in December and this year, I want to also run it in honor of SnowWhiteMoon who passed away a few week backs, who used to run that swap for a few years and who loved it dearly.

(I say "I", but we'll be running it together with DoubleHelix <3).

Is the tacky ornaments swap happening? Because I have a tacky ornament...

I really hope so too because I also happen to have a tacky ornament to send to a victim, lol.

Does anyone remember who usually runs it? I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I could totally do it myself if no-one else is ready to.

What about a trip of the Winter Warmth swap? Warm drink, warm accessory/clothing item, warm scented item, and something to warm the soul?

    Would love this !

(I'm not hosting a 12 days of Xmas swap this year simply because I left it too late and there's no time. Hopefully I'll be more organised next year).

  4. Due to the seeming success of the Solstice swap I'm thinking about running it again for my other favorite pagan holidays (I'm an atheist but I think we need more holidays all the time!). Next up is Imbolc, on the night of January 31 through the day of February 1. Imbolc is traditionally the festival of the goddess/saint Brighid, and potentially themed gifts would include: fire/flame, something to "spark" creativity, something related to divination or wishing, a water-related offering, something silver, and something healing. Would there be any interest in that?

Yes,something after Xmas would be super welcome and I'm yet another atheist with an interest in paganism.

  5. As a bit of a Grinch who favours Halloween, would anyone be interested in a "Nightmare FOR Christmas" kind of swap? Two small/medium-sized gifts to open on Christmas Eve and Day with an overall spooky/spoopy theme.

I LOVE the idea but I don't think I'd be able to find spooky items over here now that Halloween is over. And ordering online then shipping abroad that time of year seems like a recipe for a package arriving in February, lol.

  6. Is anyone interested in doing a Halloween book swap? I would totally be down for that, but I fear I don't have the organizational skills to do a circle myself :o

Maybe we could team up to do one?

Sure, always (and I could run it/co-run it with you) but isn't it a tiny bit early?

  7. Is anyone planning a virtual vacation swap? I really enjoyed that one last year! If no-one is going to do it, I might organise one myself! That would be my first time so I'll have to look at all the rules and such. I'm currently on vacation right now so that will take a week or so.

It's intimidating but not THAT hard to run a first swap. If you end up doing it, I'm always here if you have questions. (And I'd probably join... depending if the book swap happens or not :) ) .
