    Agapē

I recently discovered how much I like the Lab's apple scents (with Fearful Pleasure)... I couldn't -really- afford to be ordering bottles when this came up, but I was pretty sure I'd regret it if I didn't. I'm SO glad I did.... not to mention it showed up on one of the worst days ever and added a bit of sweetness. In the bottle, my experience is similar to other ones I've seen here - vanilla cream with apple and some other fruits beneath it. I definitely like the fruity-cream scents, but my boyfriend has some issues with what creamy scents do on my skin.... so, I was worried. But, I put a bit on my skin to try it. Lo and behold, it immediately shifts to something -completely- different. It actually smells a lot like some of the pure-rose scents, with a bit of underlying sweetness from the fruits. It's amazing and gorgeous, very soft and feminine, with a nice throw. As it wears down, the fruits come out more, but it doesn't really settle down - Very much in love with it, and happy I have a whole bottle (though I think my mom wants an imp...)

    Lady Macbeth Claw Polish

I picked this up at the last Will Call. Oh, I love the color so. I'm not generally one for reds, but this is just perfect. Two coats, and it was an opaque bloody red, with a perfect smooth top. I'm generally really hard on nail polish, usually it's chipped or flaked off within two days. This took almost a week to get to a point of needing to be removed. And maybe I'm just silly, but even disheveled, it still looked pretty nice. ^^ Definitely gotta try some of the other polishes.

    Mead Moon

Just got my bit of this today, and from first in-bottle sniff, I ADORE it! On my skin, it's like O's more sophisticated and complex sister. There's a lot of the honey/vanilla/amber yummyness, but the underlying spices and citrus keep it from being quite so one dimensional. This is what I wished Honey Moon and Honey Mone would be on me. Next stop, emailing the Lab and seeing if I can get some more at July's Will Call!

    Phoenix Steamworks

I was curious about this, but didn't expect it to work well on me. However, I was totally mistaken! The scent mellows out very nicely on my skin, with the warmth of the incense and the sage coming out and melding nicely with my normal skin-scent. I don't notice any of the metal when I wear it. My boyfriend adores it on me, which is always a good thing for a scent, too...

    Oof

Well, my 3-pack of relief imps got here the other day. And I promptly acquired a nasty head cold. This thing is kicking my ass enough to make me bow out of work for the day (and I -never- do that!). So, trying my new imp of Oof (having already had good success with Grr). The scent cuts through the congestion nicely, without the eye-watering-ness of Vick's (which I've never been able to stand. It makes me sneeze -more- not less). Big winner so far. Then I put some on, wrists, elbows, neck, temples... hoping to slather myself into an Oof fog. No such luck. My skin devours this scent. 5 minutes after application I can't smell it anymore, and neither can my non-congested boyfriend. However, I've got a nebulizer I think I'm gonna put it in. If it works there, definitely going to get a full bottle of this stuff.

    Chimera

Somewhat to my disappointment, I get almost no cinnamon from this scent. In the imp there's a hint of spice, well tempered by the honeysuckle. On my skin, what touch of cinnamon there is vanishes quickly, leaving the sweet honeysuckle that gets somewhat grounded by the myrrh. Not sure what the copal smells like, though I'm guessing it's the piece that wafts in and out of scent, adding a nice layer of complexity. Not what I was really hoping for from this scent, but pleasant nevertheless. Most scents seem to wear long on my skin (for which I'm glad), and hours later the sweetness of the honeysuckle has almost died away leaving it smelling mostly of myrrh. Still no cinnamon, I guess I'll have to stick to Al-Shairan (sp?) for that.

    Snake Oil

I'd seen so many wonderful raving reviews of Snake Oil, so I eagerly ordered an imp of it..... I normally love both vanilla and spices, but something in this just doesn't suit me. I love the scent in the bottle, it's a warm spicy scent with vanilla drifting in and out. On my skin it sharpens a lot, even irritates a little on more sensitive areas (inside of my elbow). I get hints of the gorgeous scent from the bottle, but mostly it makes my eyes tear up... not entirely sure what it is, not a scent I recognize. I think I might have to get a scent locket for this one though, because if it would just stay like it is in the bottle, it'd be perfect. Might also try it in a few more weeks, see if it blends together any more... Edit: I'm seeing a couple people noting patchouli in this... That's never been one that gets along with me, so I think it might be the source of my discontent.

    Monster Bait: Underpants

My first time doing a review...so here goes. In the bottle and wet on my skin, it's very sweet/creamy. As it dries the sandalwood and saffron cut down the sweetness and blend wonderfully as the vanilla come out to play. I'm not getting much of the alcohol at this point, just vanilla, sandalwood, and saffron with a sort of warm sweetness. Much later (5 hours or so), I'm still getting vanilla and sandalwood, but the rum is showing hints a little as well, giving it a slightly boozy edge. Very nice!
