    Roadhouse

Seems to be one of those scents you either love or hate. I love it... sharp green dandelion in the vial and for the first hour or so reminds me of the green note in rose red without the rose. I never get any hops from this, just dandelion and a touch of tobacco on the drydown making this sweet and clean and fresh. Somewhat at odds with it's name I adore this one.

    House of Mirrors

Light, shining amber almost vanilla but not quite, and reminiscent of Oisin's brilliant clarity. This is amber without the oppressive weight and intensity that some ambers can get. As this dries down it gets a faint earthy note to it - vetivert or patchouli I'm not sure which. For me that's dissapointing as it's souring the blend with my chemistry but it's an intriguing mix that makes this both complicated and elusive. Still, not quite me so this one is off to a new home.

Lemon verbena overpowered this on me. As much as I'd like to say more about it...verbena, more verbena, and even more verbena. Oh well

    Has No Hanna

Vanilla and floral, warm and cheerful but not overly strong, this was a great light scent and surprisingly beneficial in terms of a bit of a good luck charm. i'm not sure I'd wear it as a perfume given that the scent was nice but not head-turning, but it really gave my day a positive kick (or at least gave my mood enough of one to turn my day around.)

    Kunstkammer

Candy sweet and fruity, this one completely surprised me. Blood orange was a predominant note, sweet and sticky and a touch spicey as the pepper worked its way in. This smelled a lot like orange jam or marmalade at points, but in a scrumptious yummy way. Different, intriguing and a touch edgey, I'm still deciding if this will be a keeper but I"m having fun figuring it out.

    Gypsy Queen

Spicey but not cinnamon to start and a touch of floral in neroli and the spice of carnation. This is another subtle, close to the skin scent for me but I adore it. As it wears on, it turns smokey and incensey, still a touch of spice but more sweetly smokey. This is dark and mysterious and a great evening scent at the dry down. Exotic. Love it. (Carnivale Noir and I are getting along much better than I did with Cthulu. Yay!)

    Bearded Lady

Absolutely gorgeous. Subtle and feminine and soft, and so lovely even my perfume-hating father loved this one. The honeysuckle and rose are the strongest in the bottle and in the first hour, but this is never ever cloying or strong and wears very close to the skin. A touch of jasmine comes in as this dries down with vanilla rising p in beautiful creamy goodness at the end. I completely and utterly adore this.

    Bed of Nails

In the bottle: Almost citrusy, ozone and sharp. Hrm. An aquatic ::eyes the bottle specutively:: On me, this is...well aquatic. More cool dark water than metal on my skin, I get a bit of eucalyptus, a touch of metal, and thankfully this never goes that soft powdery sneezy sort of aquatic on me. It does soften as it goes but I never managed to get any wood scent out of this which was a little sad. Later drydown: There's an old nail on my wrist. ... wha? The metallic bits do come out in the end for a while, with just a touch of wood, but sadly it hops from that right into powdery. With the right chemistry it seems that this could be spectacularly intriguining but it never quite worked out for me.

    Urd

Well I've been carefully avoiding this one as patchouli and I? Not so much. But I swiped this last night and I am fairly happy to say that it wasn't as patchouli as I thought it would be. This was a dark, strong herbal and earthy scent but there was a touch of rich fruitiness under that with my chemistry. Strong and lasting, and a little bit too earthy for me, it was still fun to try.

    Coyote

Soft dusty and warm, this isn't really feminine or masculine on me, it's just gorgeous. Sweet dry grasses and warm golden musk and a touch of herbal something over a bit of dry earth. This was far more comforting than I anticipated but true to name sake it's a tricky little blend, constantly switching top notes on me. Great fun, not quite me, but I know a certain old coyote I need to send this too.

    March Hare

Mmm I love apricot and this has tons of it with a touch of clove spice. Gorgeous and juicy and summery, the dry down on this was warm and a little vanilla. Sooooo good and definitly one I think I'll be adding to my big bottle list.

    The Coiled Serpent

Soft and woodsy and incensey with a touch of sweetness. This was gorgeous, dry and herbal and calming but not overly incensey which I really loved. This reminded me of a room full of well loved, old warm furniture or the scent of unfinished wood. Nummy.

    Czernobog

Strong, musky amd dark, this is a slinking, dark masculine scent. Mostly I get musk from this with a touch of earthy spice and thankfully none of the stale smell I usually get from vetiver. Fun to try, but definitly too masculine and dark for me, this was something that makes most men's perfumes look bright and fluffy.

    Centzon Totochtin

Soft warm cocoa, this is substantially more chocolatey in the bottle than it is on me, thankfully and it's gorgeous and warm and very redolant of O with a touch of honey. A touch of wine and rum make this a little sour underneath the honey but it's not clashing so much as making this very intriguing. Fun to try, not quite a keeper.

    Sophia

Soft and feminine, I was surprised that this was as light as it turned out to be. Jasmine and light musk were the predominant notes in this, not really spicey though there is an underlay of spice if you sniff real close. Overall this stayed very soft and close to my skin. Pretty but not really catching my attention too much.

    Iambe

Sweet and melony in the bottle I was surprised that the fruitiness died off on this and left a soft mellow amber and a touch of tea. Gorgeous and light, this becomes a touch floral with some Gardenia in it as it dries and while I like this, I think my mother will like it more so this may be one I pick up for her.

    Lustration

Citrusy on me but I seem to be the one not getting lemons. Coming from "My secret power is I turn lemon into an overpowering monster" girl... that's impressive. Grapefruit for me, sharp and sweet and tangy citrus notes but predominiantly grapefruit and a touch of sweetness as this dries. Amazingly clarifying and clearing and soothing. I love this one and it works wonderfully to give your brain and spirits a zap back toward positive.

    Rose Cross

Soft dry roses, tons of them but wierdly no frankincense for me. This was a gorgeous rose scent, very gentle and feminine and light, but it never really did anything different with my chemistry so I'll swap it off to those who may have a better response.

    Strawberry Moon 2005

Oooo yummy. This was not as sweet as I anticipated which is wonderful. It's still sweet, but the strawberries are layered with a creaminess that softens the entire scent and a touch of sage that makes this just earthy enough. it's still a sweet scent but it's completely light and summery and avoids being cloying in favor of being complex and gorgeous. Rich, juicy, and warm. Love it!

    Umbra

Dark, deep, earthy and warm, like a cooling forest floor at night. Patchouli and cedarwood were the predominant notes of this though I also get a touch of vetiver (although it never goes rancid in this blend like vetiver tends to do on me.) This is very grounded, very dark, and very rich. Not quite me but fun to try

    Honey Moon

This was much greener than I anticipated at first sniff, a ton of thyme underneath the sweetness of rich honey. The thyme stays throughout the whole blend making this sweet, but not too sweet. There’s a hint o of spice and ginger at points, but it’s also an under scent beneath the honey. Gorgeous and rather like sipping mead at the fair, love love love it.

    Languor

Initially a lot of narcissus and soft white florals this quickly fades into a faintly powdery, smokey scent. Mysterious, relaxing and with a touch of spice as the opium rises to the top. Smooth and definitly soporific this is calming in a deadened-senses sort of way. complex but not quite me.

    Antony

Masculine with a lot of dry grasses and frankinsence, this was strong, decisive and clean. I would have adored this save that I'm apparantly highly allergic to something in it so I can't give a much more detailed review beyond that save that my throat got all burny on this. Eh, next time.

    Vicomte de Valmont

This is Villain's somewhat more sophisticated cousin and quite a good friend of Mr. Dorian. Between the three of them a woman would never make it out of the house. While initially "department store cologne" this is far more complex than any department store cologne could hope to be. Lavender layers over a spice of jasmine and carmation but these aren't feminine florals. White musk makes this sophisticated and a touch of mint, rosemary, and the faintest hint of sandalwood both soften this and make it masculine. He may not be Dorian, but he's probably the man that introduced you to him.

    Kuang Shi

The sandalwood in this made this very strangely sharp on first application but thankfully the white musk starts to soften it a bit. I was pleased that I was able to pick out the white musk in this which was soft under a great deal of mango and mandarin orange for most of the wear-life on this one. Fruity, but I found this less sunny and more serious. I'm not quite sure if I get zombies but it's lovely none the less.
