    Alone

Patchouli is the strongest in this for me which, sadly, gets amped up by my chemistry. I never manage to really experiance Alone as the blend just becomes over-poweringly patchouli and rancid on me as that note sometimes does. Silly chemistry, no Poe for you! :sigh:

    Trick or Treat

Something like sugar cookie last year, this was sweet, sticky and sort of wierd in the bottle. It rings true as candy corn while wet but on me it quickly softens, blends away, and smells somewhat musty with my chemistry. I would love to have loved this but it just doesn't work with my chemistry so off it goes.

    Pumpkin Patch V (2005, 2006)

I adore this one, deep green and earthy with a touch of sweet foodiness, but this is far more pumpkin on the vine than pie and sweetness. Clean, dark green, gorgeous. A definite keeper which is surprising for me as I don't typically like earthy blends.

    Pumpkin Patch IV (2005, 2006)

Soft, woodsiness that's almost nutty beneath a layer of pumpkin. The pumpkin on this faded quickly leaving some woody sandalwood which is really just not my favorite. I'm sort of ambivalent which given that I love three out of five of the patch, is okay. Off to swaps on this one.

    Pumpkin Patch III (2005, 2006)

Pumpkin and pomegranate. What a wonderful juxtaposition! Soft and pumpkiny and warm and spicey with a touch of tartness that slowly grows over the warmth and turns it fruity. This is one of my favorites in the batch because of it's unusual shift. Very nice!

    Pumpkin Patch II (2005, 2006)

Pumpkin with cocoa, hazelnut and walnut. Mmmmm smells SO amazing for the most part, sweet, cocoa, pumpkin pie and hot chocolate on a cold day. My skin chemistry is a bit wierd however and turns this a little more burnt than I would like so off to swaps.

    Pumpkin Patch I (2005, 2006)

Muuiuullleeeed ciiiiiideeeeeerrrrrr! SQUEE! Fresh fall apples mellows into spiced warm cider with a touch of pumpkin underneath. Foody, autumnal, fresh, gorgeous. It's all the things I love about fall scents in a bottle and a DEFINITE keeper for me. Gorgeous!

    Nuit

Sweet soft flowers that soften and bloom into jasmine with a touch of incense. This was lighter than I anticipated, while still being floral. Traditionally feminine but still complex, this wasn't cloying even with the jasmine. Lovely to try!

    Tezcatlipoca

Cocoa and leather are the strongest in this, a sort of soft, warm masculine smell that wears well on a woman as well. This was gorgeous and soft and absolutely scrumptious. It's cocoa but not so chocaltey as bliss and a bit more vanilla than sweet. yummy!

    Elegba

Tobacco, a touch of coconut, and a layer of rum, this is masculine, sweet, and rich. It reminds me very much of Hearth's sweet, warm tobacco, but it's definitly a bit boozier, a bit more subtle. Gorgeous and complex and utterly male though I can see women wearing it as well, this really made me want to go bury my nose in my boyfriend's neck for a few hours and inhale deeply. Yummy stuff.

    Versailles

Heavily floral, a touch of golden musk, but mostly jasmine and a soft subtle dry down of rose. This was pretty but too formal for me and not quite lush enough for me to adore it as I do with some of the other heavy florals. Very pretty, very feminine, and very refined.

    Black Opal

Faintly coconuty or vanilla I think I was surprised at the lightness of this. Soft, sweet, and a touch tropical. This was pretty but didn’t work as well on me as black pearl or some of the other soft scents. Nice but not nice enough to horde with my skin since the amber and musk just sort of drift away.

    The Apothecary

This was much sweeter and fresher than I anticipated. A touch of tea, light sweet and green, I really found this very refreshing. The mosses come out after a bit along with the herbs and while this isn'tme this was a lot more pleasant than I anticipated. Gorgeous

    Safari

Soft, sweet herbal lavender. This smelled very similar to Somnus on me, but less intense, more of a calming affect rather than a soporific one. I'll be keepng this in my travel kit for certain.

    Ephemera

Violet, a touch of chamomile, and a little bit of lilly are the predominant notes in this for me. A soft, classic floral that's light enough not to be overpowering, it's still traditionally floral and feminine. I was hoping for a little more of the autumn leaves in this but alas none such appears. Beautiful but nothing that's making me leap around to buy a big bottle with my chemistry

    Bengal

Sweeter than I thought, spiced honey is an excellant way of putting this. Clove and cinnamon are definitly present but the spiceness is balanced by a soft, golden sweetness that make this incredibly warm and exotic. It's a great cold weather scent but I can also see this as a great summer scent, exotic and sexy and sweltering. Definite YUM

    Libertine

Sandalwood and it's nasty habit of going powdery on me strikes again. The undercurrent in this is soft, powdered floral with bergamot and a touch of musk. it's strong and floral, but also more sticky and cloying than I would like with my chemistry so I'll pass on this one. It's a little too stiff a scent for me.

    Fruit Moon

The bountiful, bright and vivacious prelude to the Harvest. A horde of wet, ripe fruits: green apple, apricot, blackberry, black cherry, black and red currants, cantaloupe, English pear, guava, lemon and lime, orange, mandarin orange, kiwi and mango, passion fruit, papaya, Georgia peach, raspberry, plum, tangerine, pomegranate and strawberry over a luminous blend of lunar oils. Fruit, more fruit, so much fruit it's like being buried in a bowl of fruit salad amounts of fruit. Citrus and grapefruit, then peach and apricot that fade into papaya and guava and melon, touches of apple and currant as this dries down. Incredibly long lasting, lucious, juicy, and amazingly complex. Absolutely stunningly gorgeous for those who like fruity scents.

    Numb

The ozone tang in the bottle goes powdery on my skin, combined with a whiff of florals my chemistry makes this a very chemical, soapy scent, reminiscent of commercial perfume and something that sets off my allergies a bit too much. Sad on this one as I was really looking foreward to it but the gorgeous crystal flowery smell in the bottle just dissapears on my skin. Ah well

    Loup Garou

Holy sinus clearing batman! Juniper and eucalyptus are the strongest notes in this and it's a very green, refreshing, sharp scent. The juniper starts off strongest but the eucalyptus really kicks in, like a tang of fresh air in green forests. Lovely, not me for everyday but I may keep the imp for when my heads feeling foggy.

    Thanatopsis

Deep dark pine and a touch of musk. This is dark, earthen pine woods on a cool night, refreshing and clean and soothingly cool. Definitly not something that's very me but great fun to try just for the sheer depth of the pine.

    Dance of Death

Dry dry dry...patchouli, a touch of myrrh and lots of musk. Dark, deep, but dry earth and a touch of patchouli's distinctive smell. This was startlingly heavy on me despite the dryness and didn't much suit my tastes but was still lovely to try.

    All Night Long

Warm spicey cinnamon fades into a soft, sweet earthiness that's a bit herbal and a touch nutty. It's almost too sweet at this point, a little rancid, but the rest of the dry down is soft and smokey. This is sexy but a little too "present" for me to consider using...uh... practically. It would make a great, slinky, mysterious room scent though.

    Grand Guignol

Apricot and a shot of alchol, this was boozy, punchy, jubilant and sweet. This is the sort of scent that packs a punch and forces you to be happy because how could anything so fruity and alcohol laden be _bad_? A perfect antidote to a bad mood too!

    Burial

Dark, smokey, earthy and rich with a scent of deep rotting pine trees and a touch of patchouli. This was way too dark for my regular tastes but would be great for someone who likes earthy, smokey, evergreen scents.
