  1. I love Casanova -- I love the notes, I love the description, and in the bottle I love the scent. On my skin, however, it goes just a bit to "Aramis Cologne" for my liking, a bit too screamingly men's cologne. So I want to try to mix something with it in order to make it a bit more feminine and hopefully a bit more me. Can anyone make some recs or throw some ideas my way? Thanks!

    Lilac!

Same here -- please bring it back!
  3. That's the tricky bit, really -- I don't tend toward very traditionally feminine scents, at all, which was why Casanova appealed to me so much. I think I just need to get a few more imps or even a partial bottle and start experimenting -- then once I find what I am looking for, I can get a new full bottle. But amber....that's always a good idea, I think.

What do bottles and labels look like?

That's helping a bit...is there an expected time for BPALs to go "bad"? I am a little confused since I see some people looking for aged scents and other people claiming everything should be used within a year or so of purchase (off the forums, I mean). Thanks!

What do bottles and labels look like?

Hello all -- I was wondering if there was a way to tell how old or what "vintage" GC bottles are? I am giving up my miserly BPAL ways and trying to pare down my collection of scents in order to start building a collection of things I really love, and I want to be able to offer accurate descriptions of bottles I have for swap. Any advice? Thanks

    Count Dracula

My first review Bottle: Spice, smoke, patchouli Wet on Skin: cinnamon, tempered with a mixed spice, almost soapy (but very pleasant) note Dry: cinnamon still but with a crisp bite, like the first true winter wind. Very spicy...not an everyday scent, but something for a special, perhaps sensual, occasion
