  1. I'm an Aquarius rising, so I had to get a bottle. :P

In the bottle: a light fruity floral with a hint of an herbal edge.

Wet: floral and bit of ozone. The throw is amazing for this type of scent.

Dry: This scent really morphs over time. It started out very floral, then fruity, however the myrrh comes through on the dry down and grounds the fragrance nicely.

  2. In the vial: very woodsy, on the verge of the dreaded pencil shavings smell.

    Wet: sandalwood and patchouli

Wet: the notes fuse together nicely to create a really gorgeous scent. Why did I wait so long to try this? I need a bottle, stat!

  3. In the bottle: apricot, slight oakiness and a hint of ginger

Wet: ZOMG, the most gorgeous vanilla evah is coming to the foreground. This scent reminds me of Underpants, but, IMHO, it is even better because it is less foody.

Dry: The components blend seemlessly to create a really beautiful scent. Although the components are foody, this scent is more of a warm vanilla scent than a gourmand scent. I am thrilled to have a bottle and I certainly be ordering more.

  4. In the bottle: slightly sweet and nutty.

    Wet: faintly almond-y.

Dry: :P where did the scent go? I expected an olfactory feast, but it never materialized. Other Forumites sniffed and tested the bottle and loved it, so there is just another example of the variability of skin chemistry.

  5. In the bottle: well blended citrus, ginger and pumpkin.

Wet: The lemon and ginger are the dominant notes. As it dries down the blood orange comes out and is rounded off by vanilla.

Dry: citrus, spicy vanilla. I love this scent because it is not cloyingly sweet and foody. My fav of the 2007 Patch (and all 2007 Halloweenies). I need at least one back up bottle!

  6. In the vial: ummmm. Patchouli love :P

    Wet on skin: Patchouli nirvana!

Dry: I love this scent, but I don't think I can wear it in public since it is very strong on me. I may keep this to wear at home when I am feeling nostalgic.

  7. In the bottle: very dewey ivy and a wee bit of pine.

Wet on Skin: uh, oh. This smells like dude-fume.

Dry: OMSquee! I'm so happy that I waited for the dry down. This oil captures the scent of a chilly October morning in New England. I like it so much that I may order another bottle. :P

  8. In the imp: sweet, slightly smoky vanilla with a hint of floral. Very complex.

Wet: The smoky vanilla is replaced by sweet floral with a slightly sweet and spicy back ground note.

Dry: How did this turn soapy? I tried it twice with the same results. Oh, well. I think this will be a gorgeous scent on the right person.

  9. I was able to swap for a decant of CR. Many thanks to my swappee :P

In the vial: delicious mixed berries, including raspberries and blue berries, with a bit of cardomom, under a flaky, sugared pastry crust.

Wet: this scent reminds me of a warm scone heaped with mixed berry jam.

Dry: A delicious gourmand scent, really comforting.

  10. Wow, this scent was much different than I expected! In the vial the oil smelled like strong, sweet almond. On my skin, it still smelled like almonds, but not as strong. I don't care for almond scents, so this is off to swaps.

  11. I received a decant of 2004 Poppet as part of a swap with a lovely Forumite.

In the vial: ginger heaven with a tiny hint of nutmeg.

Wet on skin: the ginger goodness is fading and the cinnamon really amps up. I love the scent of cinnamon, but cinnamon oil does not like me. (I get red welts from cinnamon oil :P )

I love this scent, but I will confine it to a scent locket.

  12. In the vial: red musk and Moroccan spices. Yum.

Wet: Spicy, musky (in a come hither way) and slightly sweet.

Dry: This scent becomes insanely sweet on me once it is dry. The delicious spices are now cloying. It must be the dreaded honey amping. Drat.

  13. I acquired this blend in a swap with a lovely Forumite.

In the vial: OMSquee. Red Sandalwood, red musk, cinnamon, and perhaps Dragon's Blood? Deliciously spicy and resinous.

Wet: :D I am sensitive to *something* in this blend because I have a welt on my arm less than five minutes after applying the oil. :P

  14. In the bottle: fresh and green with a whisper of musk.

Wet: Wow, the oil really is green! I wasn't sure how the green notes and musk would react with my skin, but this is lovely. The scent is green, but has more depth than most green fragrances. This is a gorgeous scent and I think I will wear it often this summer.
