This was a gimp from my latest order. Thanks Labbies!
In the vial: ozone and floral with a tangy quality.
Wet: Uh, oh. It is going kind of sour.
Dry: This is exactly the fragrance that I smell after one of the late April/early May thunderstorms around here. I live fairly close to the ocean, so big storms always leave a marine tang to the air. The clean ozone smell is still here, as well as a very subtle spicy floral. Very nice!

In the bottle: this reminds me of late spring in a bottle! A little hint of ginger keeps it grounded.
Wet: It smells like I am carrying an armful of peonies, in full bloom, from my garden.
Dry: The peony is quieter and the musk is coming through. Light throw. My skin reallly drinks this up.
This is a really beautiful scent and evocative of a warm, late spring day out in the garden.

Cairo
in Wanderlust
The essence of holy Kyphi, beloved incense of the Egyptian Gods.
In the imp: amber, resin, honey, figs, clove. Very sweet.
Wet: honey, figs, clove. Very sweet, fruity and exotic.
Dry: Uh, oh. What was so lovely has turned to powdery musk. Strong powdery musk.
Not for me. -
In the vial: this smells like the incense at church. Not what I was expecting, but I'll give it a go.
Wet: Now I smell like a head shop, not a church.
Dry: The Caterpillar has the distiction of being the first BPAL to which I've had a reaction. I got red welts on my wrist and had to wash it off.
-
In the vial: spicy, tea, faintly fruity. I love tea scents!
Wet: tea, faintly spicy and fruity.
Dry: gee, this went away really fast. I can barely smell it after half an hour. I love the notes and would really like this if it lasted longer.
-
I love tea scents, so I had to try Maiden.
In the vial: tea and white floral. Very pretty.
Wet: Holy roses! I expected this to be a tea scent rather than a rose scent.
Dry: The roses take over everthing. I love to grow roses and smell them, but I don't want to wear them on my skin.
-
I had to try absinthe just because it evokes notions of a by-gone era that fascinates me.
In the vial: minty, green herbal, anise and faintly floral.
Wet: Holy black licorice! Wow, that anise is popping! I love black licorice, but I don't want to wear it as perfume.
Dry: The minty and anise notes fuse nicely. There is a perkiness, too. Probably the lemon. After about an hour the mint and anise calm down and fuse with a lovely floral/herbal note, which I am guessing is the hyssop. This summer I am going to have to squish a combination of hyssop and artemesia (wormwood, which was distilled to make absinthe) between my fingers.
This may be a big bottle scent for me.

In the vial: green tea, lemon and floral.
Wet: green tea and floral lusciousness with just a subtle hint of lemon
Dry: Green tea and floral. The honeysuckle makes this girlier than many green tea blends. Must order a big bottle

I had to have this scent b/c NOLA is one of my favorite cities.
In the vial: Wow, honeysuckle, jasmine and slight spicy undertone. Like a Southern summer night.
Wet: Honeysuckle and...
Dry: Lots of honeysuckle. Very heady. I love this scent, but I don't know if I will wear it as perfume.
-
So excited b/c I've been dying to try this!
In the imp: green tea, lemon and subtle white floral. Lovely!
Wet: Uh, oh. This seems... kind of sour.
Dry: Very subtle white floral, a hint of green tea and then it's gone.
Very promising in the imp. I will keep the imp and hope that it works better the next time I wear it.

Lately, Omen(!) has worked really well.

Deep, mysterious, and full of dark portents: oakmoss, juniper berry, myrrh and patchouli.
I received this as a frimp from the Lab. Merci!
I have to say that I love the color. It is so red that I thought there must be Dragon's Blood essence in it.
In the vial: warm patchouli spiciness and myrrh. Uh, oh. Now I am afraid b/c myrrh usually doesn't like me.
Wet: Warm, spicy and scrumptious. This reminds me of a scent that a college b/f wore. However, I like it on my skin, too. Very sexay!
Dry: I am in love. I thought myrrh was my mortal enemy, but I love this scent. Perhaps b/c it is such a nostalgic scent for me. I will enjoy my imp and may order a bigger bottle. -

I received this as a gimp from the Lab.
In the vial: almonds and cinnamon.
Wet: still almonds and cinnamon. Very strong.
Dry: Holy red hots! This smells like fireball candy. It smells good enough to eat, but I wouldn't wear it as perfume.
-
I received this as a frimp from the Lab.
In the vial: tropical floral and fruit.
Wet: tropical floral and fruit. It must be the plum and orchid.
Dry: Plummy with orchid and subtle white musk. Wow, does this have throw! This is absolutely beautiful and I never would have picked it for myself. Thanks Lab!

I bought this bottle b/c who can resist Ziggy Stardust?
In the bottle: Hey there Charlie girl! This reminds me of the perfume that my mother wore in the 70's.
Wet: Still Charlie.
Dry: After about an hour this settled in to a pleasant blend of white musk, with tabacco flower and a light boozy swirl.
I love the nostalgia factor, but this is not a scent that I will wear every day.
-
In the bottle: minty and antiseptic. I am afraid, but I try the oil anyway.
Wet: lovely herbal freshness with a kick, perhaps ginger?
Dry: fabulous! This is a mercurial blend as it keeps morphing on me. Sometimes I get cinnamon, sometimes white musk. I also get a bit of lavender. I wish I had ordered a second bottle!
It makes sense that Mercury worked for me since I am a Virgo with my Moon in Gemini.

Snow White
in Yules
In the bottle: Honey and vanilla. I am excited b/c scents with honey notes have been working well lately.
Wet: Uh, oh. I got a really strong floral vanilla. As it dried the character changed. Good!
Dry: Sweet coconut, vanilla, almonds, pineapple. Wow, this reminds me of Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil! This is a pleasant scent, but not what I would wear for perfume.
BTW, the label art is wonderful!
-
In the bottle: scrumptious green tea.
Wet: Green tea and a deeper spicey scent. Perhaps the oude?
Dry: Green tea rounded off by a hint of spice. Moderate throw. Gorgeous!
I join the others who wish they had ordered a second bottle...or more!

Prague
in Wanderlust
In the vial: really fruity and sweet.
Wet: benzaldehyde. Gotta wash this off.
This scent did not work for me. I did not get any floral notes at all. I will put the imp in my swap pile.
-
I received this as a frimp from the Lab.
In the vial: honeyed ginger lusciousness!
Wet: warm, creamy ginger with a touch of sweetness and spice.
Dry: OMG, this is beautiful! Subtle, creamy exotic spices. This is a 10 ml scent. Love it!
-
I received this as a frimp from the Lab.
In the vial: aquatic and salty. This smells like the breeze off the ocean a few hours before a storm. Reminds me of late summer at the beach.
Wet: This smells like the beach after a storm. Aquatic, salty and herbal.
Dry: Aquatic and herbal.
This is a very interesting unisex blend. I like it because it reminds me of the beach.
-
In the imp: Dirt, swirly dark booze, faded flowers.
Wet: Damp earthiness, faded flowers and the dark booze note.
Dry: Very earthy. It is a pleasant smell, like when I've been out planting. While it is pleasant, I don't think I care to wear this smell as perfume.

I received this as a frimp from the Lab
In the vial: pine and hemlock, early autumn, at dusk.
Wet: pine sap, hemlock and damp earth.
Dry: Lovely coniferous forest, slighty sweet and cold. I love this scent as it reminds me of hiking in some of my favorite spots. Nocnitsa will make a lovely room scent, but I don't know if I will wear it on my skin.
