In the vial: vanilla and tea.

 

Wet: Why did I wait so long to try this? This is the vanilla scent that I have been searching for!

 

Dry: Absolutely gorgeous and intoxicating! I wish I had tried this before the 10mls were discontinued. I must have a big bottle of this *swoon*

I received this as part of a swap with the lovely caramialove.

In the vial: caramel and toasted coconut. Yum!

Wet: this scent was saved from sickly sweetness by a lovely smoky herbal note or notes.

Dry: OMG! Love this! I think this may be my scent for Halloweener. This reminds me of Trick or Treating while the scent of a burning leaves hangs in the air.

In the vial: very fresh and green

 

Wet: fresh, green and softly floral

 

Dry: this scent stayed green with just the faintest whiff of floral and berry fruitiness. A lovely surprise!

In the vial: amber and myrrh.

 

Wet: This is not what I expected at all. This smells sort of manly.

 

Dry: Something is this blend is just not working with my chemistry. Off to swaps!

In the vial: tea rose

 

Wet: tea rose

 

Dry: this scent reminds me of my Grandmother's perfume. Marie is a pretty scent for those who enjoy rose perfume.

In the bottle: Grapefruit and lavender.

 

Wet: Wow, this reminds me of Calyx by Prescriptives

 

Dry: Fresh, light, and ethereal, just like the Cheshire Cat.

I bought this bottle from evilbay.

 

In the bottle: leather, piney, manliness in a botttle.

 

Wet: oh, cinnamon and patchouli, too. This scent makes me want to growl.

 

Dry: Hot, lusty and manly. I love this, but I think it is too manly for me to wear as perfume. I will let the SO try it.

In the vial: pine, berries and vanilla.

 

Wet: pine, cranberries and vanilla.

 

Dry: Pretty, reminds me of Yule season. I think this will be delightful in an oil burner.

In the bottle: dark, aquatic and very sexay.

 

Wet: I really don't know how to describe this. I think that there is opium poppy in this, but I am guessing. Perhaps there is civet or skin musk, because this is also really grrrr sexay.

 

Dry: Love this! It strikes me as somewhat masculine, but I will wear it anyway. So happy that I snagged a bottle

In the vial: spicy, yet sour. Hmm.

 

Wet: Ugh! This does not agree with me at all. Must wash it off.

In the vial: spicy floral. Yum!

 

Wet: light spicy floral. Kind of like Omen's much younger sister.

 

Dry: Drat! The lilac is overpowering everything else.

This reminds me of the civet sample at the Peabody Museum at Yale. Yet, there is a lovely spiciness underneath the scary civet, so I decided to try a drop from my imp.

 

Wet: Not as bad as I thought. Musky with exotic spices, but this is really strong.

 

Dry: Too strong for me. Off to swaps.

In the vial: sort of medicinal.

 

Wet: Soap!

 

Dry: This oil smelled like night blooming jasmine, which I love in the garden, but not as a perfume.

In the bottle: OMG. This is fantastic! A wonderful floral blend. The only note that stands out to me is lavender. IMHO, lavender is a good thing.

 

Wet: Glorious!

 

Dry: I am not eloquent enough to describe the beauty of this scent. I have a bottle and I plan to order more. This is my new #1 BPAL scent.

In the vial: tropical fruit and blossoms.

 

Wet: a warm, slightly humid evening in a tropical garden.

 

Dry: really beautiful. This scent is a gorgeous blend of tropical fruits and flowers. It has some earthiness to prevent it from being too sweet and it does not have any of the dreaded "dirt" smell.

In the vial: acrid smoke.

 

wet: this scent reminds me of a college chem lab accident. I must wash it off now!

I bought a bottle of this unsniffed b/c mint and grapefruit are two of my favorite notes.

 

In the bottle: grapefruit zest and mint. Very strong.

 

Wet: still strong grapefruit and mint.

 

Dry: after about half an hour the grapefruit and mint calm down and start to mingle with the other notes. Nice, but it didn't knock my socks off.

In the vial: sweet roasted almonds!

 

Wet: I smell like a tray of Italian party cookies from the Stop and Shop bakery.

 

Dry: Vice is too foody for me. Off to swaps.

Pepper is one of my mortal enemies, but I wanted to try this scent because the other notes are wonderful and I love the name I was thrilled to track down a bottle.

 

In the bottle: fruit tea!

 

Wet: tea and tropical fruit.

 

Dry: This is great! This is a tea scent that is distinctly feminine. The ginger grounds the fruit nicely to keep the scent from getting too sweet. Lovely!

In the vial: spicy rose.

 

Wet: please, please don't turn to baby lotion already.

 

Dry: This is the one BPAL rose scent that works on me. Hooray!

I had to have sunshine in a bottle!

In the bottle: very light slightly sweet floral.

Wet: Very light floral, like the floral scent of a warm summer breeze.

Dry: Wow, this didn't last long at all, perhaps 15 minutes. It is pretty, but I prefer longer lasting scents. This one needs a new home.

In the imp: benzaldehyde.

 

Wet: cherry cough syrup. I double checked the label because I think I may have tested a different scent.

 

Dry: the musk came out after about 30 minutes and there was a hint of smokiness, but the cherries dominated everything. Wanda is off to swaps!

A lovely Forumite was kind enough to decant some Pink Phoenix for me.

 

In the vial: sweet, ripe strawberries.

 

Wet: this scent reminds me of the strawberry soda that I used to drink. Oh, yummy memories!

 

Dry: I did not expect this to be quite so foody! My wrist smells like it was dipped in a Dairy Queen strawberry sundae. This is a fun, girlie scent.

I have yet to find my BPAL rose scent, so I was very excited to receive this as a frimp from the Lab

In the vial: velvety dark red rose with a smidge of patchouli.

Wet: heady rose and patchouli.

Dry: The longer I leave this on the more powdery it becomes. Eventually it reminded me of baby lotion. A pleasant smell, but not what I would like to wear as perfume.
