    The Jersey Devil

Yuss, cryprozoology. And also that awful xfiles episode. Anyway: I: Pine, definitely some cranberry and tomato leaf. Wet: Mostly cranberry and tomato leaf, actually. Dry: Berries with pine and tomato leaf floating around in the background. A very tangy scent, and pretty. Could possibly work quite well on a dude.

    Jasmine Cottage

In the imp: Quite a sharp floral note, similar to 'The Aurora Spaceship...'. I wonder if that's the wildflowers? Wet: A whole bunch of flowers, with no particular notes jumping out. Very fresh and lively. Dry: A lovely herbal note dominates, with sweet florals on top. Just what I was hoping for from this scent!

An Incubus Leaving Two Sleeping Women

In the imp: A PATCHOULI leaving two sleeping women. Wet: Patchouli-y furniture polish. Dry: I agree with the womb furie comparisons - this is like that but mixed with musky patchouli. Turned kinda funky (ha!) and baby powderish on me.

    High-Strung Daisies

In the imp:Daisy and a strong sugary note. Wet: Just a big BOOF! of sugary sweetness. Dry: Extremely sugared daisies. Waaay too sweet for me. Half an hour later: Oddly enough, I can't stop huffing my wrists. The pepper has come out and the sugar has gone pleasantly powdery. Still not really something I'd wear, but an interesting twist on typical sweet scents. This lasted a long time and had good throw.

    Hetairae

In the imp: Kinda figgy honey. Wet: The same, but with patchouli. Dry: The lab's honey note mixed with fig and a hint of patchouli. I don't particularly care for those (I was hoping for more clove and ylang ylang), but would probably be good if you dig those notes.

    Horse Chestnut Honey

Ok, so first of all idk what Horse Chestnuts are. I assume they're a type of chestnut, but who knows, it could be a vulgar American euphemism for horse balls (the equine equivalent of prairie oysters, non?). Anyway. In the imp: Very sweet... curry spices? Like when you're cooking a curry and you're frying the spices - kinda like garam masala and maybe cumin. Wet: The curry buggers off and I get a warm, slightly nutty honey scent. Dry: Spicy, nutty honey. The weird thing is, I once got sick from a curry that had water chestnuts in it (oh, my stomach turns just writing that!) and the name + the vaguely curry-ish smell sparked all sorts of unpleasant mental associations, so I can't wear this. It is a nice scent though - quite different from the other apiary blends I've tried, and definitely good if you're looking for a honey scent that's a bit more warm or spicy.

    Hemlock

In the imp: A piney, menthol-y, kinda fruity grren scent. Wet: Incredibly fresh herby pine. Dry: Eeenteresting. Pine and herbal notes are definitely the stars here, but I get hints of lemon, incense and perhaps berries too? A very complex and interesting green scent.

    Hellfire

In the imp: Very sweet incense smokiness. Wet: LEATHER! Mixing nicely with smoky tobacco. Dry: Went very faint very quickly - I got veeery sweet incense with hints of leather. Bum skin chemistry

    Hellcat

In the imp: Sweeeeet almond. Wet: Bubblegum sweet almond, with a boozy hit. Dry: Sickeningly sweet almond & alcohol. Bleh.

    Hell's Belle

Sweet, smoky and sensually wicked. A thick, steamy scent, truly sinister in its voluptuous sexuality. The perfume of a demon's favored consort, or of the devil herself. Oleander with wet, sweet mandarin, lush magnolia, a rush of deep musk and a touch of spice. In the imp: White flowers. Wet: Musk & the aforementioned white florals, spices. Dry: Musky white flowers with a hint of spice. This was kinda sour and gross on me.

    The Great Sword of War

In the imp: Like a sweet Gaueko (which I love) - I guess that must be the tobacco, but with a tonka hit. Wet: Spicy tobacco and cocoa with a hint of citrus. Mmmm... Dry: So delicious, omg. I get clove-spiked citrus. sweet tobacco, hints of chocolate. It's amazing. A couple of hours later: Faded to a spiced red musk, quelle bummer. I tried it as a room scent, and it kept its original dry scent well, so yay!

    Glasgow

It's so tempting tae write this in the style of Irvine Welsh, I cannae even tell you... but I'll stop know, I'm annoying myself. In the imp: Sweet blackberries with a herbal edge. Wet: What I assume to be heather - a herby rose scent. Dry: Awww, I was hoping for something badass enough to reflect actual Glasgow (I'm saving up to move there), but I just get a handcreamy heather. After a few hours, this smelled just like the dry stages of the Apothecary, weirdly. ... ye ken?

    The Forest Reverie

In the imp: Pine, rose, maybe a bit of opium? Wet: Pine pine pine. dry: Reminds me quite a bit of the wet stages of Bess - grape with herbal/piney notes, I guess. There's a sweet smokiness from rose and opium, but it's darkedned by the pine. I quite like it.

    The Floating Market

I feel I should mention that I don't know what half these ingredients are! In the imp: Definitely wasabi, greenery, spices & woods. Wet: Citrus and ginger, with green herbiness underneath. Dry: I'm mostly reminded of celery, ginger and citrus. Interesting, and certainly different! It's a nice scent, but not really something I could wear. Perhaps I could use it as a room scent when I have my own kitchen - it did make me a tad peckish, after all.

    Eros

In the imp: Boozy, honeyed fruit - like a fruitier Athens, possibly, which is very auspicious, as I adore Athens. Wet: Spiced tea and lilac. Dry: I didn't get any incense or honey notes (bummer!), just tea and lilac. Weird. Two hours later: The honey comes out a wee bit, but not by much. This stayed very close to the skin.

    Epitaph

In the imp: Funereal lilies. Wet: Lily and rose. Dry: A very light and pretty floral. Not particularly remarkable, but nice, and probably suitable for wearing to work and whatnot.

    Endymion

In the imp: Sweet lily and rose with sharp pear on top. Wet: Pear & liy - the pear is softened by the lily, and they blend well together. Dry: A really lovely rose scent (the truest I've smelt thus far, actually), given a fresh edge by the pear and lily. Really lovely! It does stick quite close to the skin, and did fade rather fast. It worked very well as a room scent, however, so I'll be keeping my imp.

    Ekhidna

In the imp: Resiny, peppery, swampy sweentness. Wet: Clove and tobacco. Quite lovely! Dry: Clove with aquatic notes, which start out okay but turn a bit sickly after an hour or so (I don't like aquatics though so ymmv). Sticks close to the skin.

    Eclipse

In the imp: Cinnamon and almond. Wet: A sweet, spicy mixture of cinnamon and frankincense. Dry: Cinnamon and vanilla. This reminds me a lot of (in fact, it's almost identical to) this ChiChi cinnamon & vanilla perfume I wore in high school (it was park and had sparkles, truly a classy dame was I). And I don't react too badly to the cinnamon for once, yay! I think I'm going to need a bottle... or five.

    Dragon's Hide

In the imp: Dragon's blood Wet: Smoky leather with dragon's blood in the background. Dry: The soapiest soap that ever did soap. Harrumph.

    The Dormouse

In the imp: Peony! Wet: Peony and herbs. Dry: Herby green tea with citrus and peony. After a few hours, this really became a single-note peony scent on me, which was a shame. I'm going to try this as a room scent and see how it goes.

    Dorian

In the imp: Sweet musk with a hint of lemon. Wet: SWEET SWEET SWEET mixed with LEMONY LEMONY LEMON. Dry: Very sweet musky lemon. It's nice (though a tad too sweet for my liking), but certainly not the ORGY OF LUSTFUL NOSTRIL SEX that others have described. Meh!
  23. whitsunweddings

    Dirty

In the imp: A clean, melony smell. Wet: Oddly floral - a bit like poppy, actually - with melon. Dry: A rather saccharine floral-melon mix. Not at all soapy, ironically.

    Dee

... His scent is soft English leather, rosewood and tonka with a hint of incense, parchment and soft woods. In the imp: A sweet cologney scent - might be the mix of tonka and leather. Wet: Leather, rosewood, spices. Dry: Spicy, sweet woods with leather. I also get milk chocolate, weirdly. I think this is nice, but really too masculine for me. I might keep my imp on hand on the off chance that I ever meet a nice boy again, because I think it would be quite lovely on a dude.

    Debauchery

In the imp: Musky civet and opium. Wet: Musky civet, no opium. Dry: Musky soap with a bit of opium. I agree with other posters - this is a very generic scent on me.
