  1. On first sniff: sharp, with resins and a lot of spice. Interesting.

Dry down: Very powdery on my skin. I'm guessing it's the musks? Still spicy. I could like it if not for the powdery smell.

Later: A sweet note seems to be edging its way out from beneath the powder. Not bad, but still doesn't overcome this powdery scent on my skin.

I don't think this one is for me.

Second wear: I don't know what was up with my nose the other day. Maybe scent overload from trying all my new imps! Wore Glasya again today. WONDERFUL! I love this scent. It starts out with a strong scent of resins and spices. Then something green fights through to make itself known. About 20 minutes later, a sweet note starts to show itself, but the resins and spices are still dominant.

Several hours later it's still not powdery on me at all. It smells like the remnants of some good incense. I like this one a lot!

  2. Well, instead of further hijacking another thread, I thought I'd start my own. I'm intrigued with the thought of having scents recommended for you based on your astrology info. I'm trying to find my signature scent now, since I love so many but haven't found anything that's exactly 'me'. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me, or show me where to look, for scents recommended for my info.

I was born 02/14/1975, and I *think* I'm an aquarius sun, libra rising, but I'm not sure of my moon. Any help there would be great too.

    Thanks!

  3. Hmmm, that's strange. I got an email from Nella to my hotmail account Monday, but she hasn't answered my last reply/question. Have they been blocked since them or are they just really busy like I thought? :D

Should I send a pm to her too? I feel like that's just too much. :P

  4. That sounds yummy, but I'm wondering if it's what I want. I'm really not good with making up fragrances. I just look for what I want and throw it all together and see what happens. :D

You don't know what you're missing if you've never had a good cup of homemade chai. :P It makes the whole house smell of steamed cinnamon, marjoram, and cloves, with a dash of nutmeg and black pepper. Then you mix it half and half with some whole milk, add a teaspoon or so of sugar (not too sweet!) and enjoy on a chilly morning in the sunroom with your toes tucked in your slippers and an afghan wrapped around you. :D

  5. Please tell me there's something here at bpal that smells like a hot cup of chai! :P Someone brought up a perfume that smells like sugared lemons and oriental spices to me, and that brought up chai.

Just think--something that smells like warm vanilla cream with underlying notes of orange peel, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and a little black tea. I would lick that off of myself.

Is there anything like that here?

  6. How did I miss the review for Embalming Fluid that says it smells kinda like Calyx from Prescriptives? I LOVE that scent! I will definitely have to add it to my order.

The Cool Citrus & Basil doesn't smell citrusy at all to me, strangely enough. It's a unisex smell that smells cool and herbally. I'm trying to figure out the recipe for it so I can make my own. If anyone has any ideas on what else might be in it, I'd appreciate the input. I've got a couple of the herbally-fresh imps to put on my order, so hopefully one of them will be what I want.

    Thanks!

  7. Hey everybody,

I'm into a guy right now who always compliments me when I wear Fresh Citrus & Basil from B&BW, they don't make it anymore. It's a nice, clean, fresh smell. Does BPAL have anything similar I might want to add to my next order to entice him a bit closer? :P
