So, I have never tried an espresso martini, but they sound amazing! Sniffing this (got it straight from the mailbox) I can smell a faint coffee/slight martini scent. On my skin, as it warms up, it stays the same. Light throw and not getting any pumpkin spice. Mostly a very light coffee alcohol. Stays close to the skin and not a lot of throw, but it needs to warm up a bit. I am just too anxious to wait!! It is very nice.

"Everything okay here?" said a cop inside. Shadow's first, automatic instinct was to say Yup, everything's just fine and jimdandy thank you officer. But it was too late for that, and he started to say, "I think I'm freezing. I was walking into Lakeside to buy food and clothes, but I underestimated the length of the walk"-he was that far through the sentence in his head, when he realized that all that had came out was "F-f-freezing," and a chattering noise, and he said, "So s-sorry. Cold. Sorry." The cop pulled open the back door of the car and said, "You get in there this moment and warm yourself up, okay?" Shadow climbed in gratefully, and he sat in the back and rubbed his hands together, trying not to worry about frostbitten toes. The cop got back in the driver's seat. Shadow stared at him through the metal grille. Shadow tried not to think about the last time he'd been in the back of a police car, or to notice that there were no door handles in the back, and to concentrate instead on rubbing life back into his hands. His face hurt and his red fingers hurt, and now, in the warmth, his toes were starting to hurt once more. That was, Shadow figured, a good sign. The cop put the car in drive and moved off. "You know, that was," he said, not turning to look at Shadow, just talking a little louder, "if you'll pardon me saying so, a real stupid thing to do. You didn't hear any of the weather advisories? It's minus thirty out there. God alone knows what the windchill is, minus sixty, minus seventy, although I figure when you're down at minus thirty, windchill's the least of your worries." "Thanks," said Shadow. "Thanks for stopping. Very, very grateful." "Woman in Rhinelander went out this morning to fill her bird feeder in her robe and carpet slippers and she froze, literally froze, to the sidewalk. She's in intensive care now. It was on the TV this morning. You're new in town." It was almost a question, but the man knew the answer already. "I came in on the Greyhound last night. Figured today I'd buy myself some warm clothes, food, and a car. Wasn't expecting this cold." "Yeah," said the cop. "It took me by surprise as well. I was too busy worrying about global warming. I'm Chad Mulligan. I'm the chief of police here in Lakeside." The scent of a steaming mug of hot chocolate. I'm first?? Ok then! In decant, pure milk chocolate....simple as that! On skin, very similar to The Other Hot Chocolate to me.....but, if memory serves, TOHC didn't last long on me and it had a low throw. So far, this one is a bit stronger and who doesn't love that? Dry down, this is nice because some cocoa scents can get that dry cocoa aspect to it, but this stays pretty true to a melty chocolate on me. There is a hint of dryness, but not like other's I have tried. Medium throw on me. If you are a cocoa lover but not too happy about the dusty cocoa scent, you might like this one! Bottle worthy! Ok...editing to add something. So, my son LOVES those Kinder chocolate bars. I was wearing this, he walked by me and said, "Do you have a Kinder?" I said, "No." He said, "Well, I need one now!" Guess that tells you how wonderfully chocolate this scent it!

So...any Beaver Moons with Cheesecake notes are usually very good. I didn't know what champurrado is, but thought it should be ok. I got this in a swap and on my, this is soooo awful! I think this is the first time ever I sniffed a bottle I didn't like and actually thought about just throwing it away! Smells like bile... yes, bile. In the bottle and on my skin. I might just actually throw this away... I don't see any positive reviews so I don't think anyone would want to try it. UGH!!!!

Snake Oil in the Pumpkin Patch There's all manner of shenanigans in this year's pumpkin patch! Pumpkin'ized hybrids of GC BPAL scents abound! OOH fun to be first!! Wet in bottle: Mmm...there is that lovely hint of Snake Oil...and some buttery pumpkin! On Skin: First sniff, very snake oil, but then that lovely pumpkin is peeking out around the corner! This is EXACTLY what I was hoping this would smell like!! Drydown: This is AHHHmazing....anyone worried about it being a vegetable-y pumpkin, it is NOT! Very yummy....it is a great mix of Snake Oil and walking through a pumpkin patch. I detect a VERY faint hint of something "hay-like" but no worries for those of you who love SO and pumpkin!!! Get this....get it NOW!!! There is a wonderful sweetness to this as well....foody lovers will love this! Back up bottle worthy! ETA: Half an hour later.... I can't stop sniffing my wrist! Smells so good....great throw as well!!

Sniffing this in the bottle, I get a sharp, herbaly (spelling?) leather. Not bad, but as mentioned, this is not a smooth, worn leather. Sharp black leather to me. On my skin, I instantly get the pine and chocolate. After it dries, the leather comes out again. The chocolate disappears and I get soft pine and leather. After a minute, the vanilla and chocolate show up, but VERY mild. Gotta sniff hard to get them... mild and way in the background. This, to me, is a little masculine. Not too much, but the leather makes it so. Was hoping it would be a little more on the sweet, warm leather/pine scent. It stays close to the skin but kind of sharp overall.

Like mentioned above, I have Oct. 33rd, and when I saw this, I HAD to get it. Sniffing in the bottle, I get very faint pine cones with a hint of what seems like cinnamon tea. On my skin, the ribbon candy shows up, with that mild cinnamon scent. This isn't a red hot cinnamon and it isn't a baking cinnamon. But cinnamon tea is the best description I can think of. As it dries, I get a whiff of the pumpkin cookies. I love this!! It isn't a heavy scent, close to the skin and not a lot of throw. It is a wonderful festive scent, Fall or Winter. I am always afraid of any pine scents, and if you are too, not to worry!!

Just got my bottle today.. excited to try this!! Sniffing in the bottle, I do get a powdered sugar lemon scent. Not too sweet, not too sour! On my skin, I get more of a boozy powdered lemon cookie vibe! Oh this smells amazing! As it dries, it stays the same...sweet lemony curd bakery scent, with a drop of booze. The 'booze' is in the background and isn't overpowering the other notes, as booze notes tend to do on me. This will make a wonderful spring/summer scent. But I will wear it anytime!

This smells so good! Just like it says... in the bottle, marshmallow and peppermint! I put some in my dry hair and it reminds me a little of Boo Hg but with the peppermint added in! A vanilla-y marshmallow with the candy cane! I love peppermint scented things, but sadly the perfume oils that have peppermint (like the Lick it's) all faded away super fast. So far, this is amazing!! I can smell the cloud of goodness around me. It isn't overpowering but glad I can smell it. Very sweet but not tooth-achingly so! Oh this is soooo good!

So excited to get this... anything S.O. I usually HAVE to have. Got this today so can't wait to test it. In the bottle, sniffing, there is that lovely Snake Oil. I do get a little bit of pastry like the other other sufganiyots. On my skin oh my!!! I get the lovely S.O and that yummy pastry. It is a wonderful S.O. pastry smoky thing, if that makes sense! This is good right off the bat and I think this will age into something super amazing!
-
First off, thank you HerbGirl for answering my ISO for this bottle!!! ❤️ So glad I got a hold of some! Sniffing in the bottle, sweet crisp apple and lovely S.O.! I am a sucker for anything S.O. On my skin, stays the same of how it smells and it is wonderful! I get the sweet apple and S.O. Neither seems to be overpowering the other... a nice mild blend of both. As it dries, the S.O. is a bit more out in front, but the apple is there. This has a medium throw on me. Can't wait to see how this one ages!

I never actually tried an Apple Macchiato, because, like Beth said on the website, when I first saw this on the menu at a certain coffee house, I thought, "Um.. ok.. someone has lost their minds!" But apparently it must be good... so why not try the perfume.' Sniffing in the bottle, I get coffee and a hint of spiced apple. It oddly works and smells very good to me. On my skin, the apple becomes a bit more prominent, and the coffee is more in the background, but I am really liking this combo. As it dries, it is more of an apple scent. To me it is a mix of crisp apple and a bit of spice. Maybe that is the coffee I am smelling. Either way, this is more on the gourmand side for me. Low throw and wear length, but I am enjoying it!

This really is Fall in a bottle! Sniffing, I get the slight boozy apples and spice. On my skin, I smell the pumpkin. Sweet souffle pumpkin! Not sure if I smell the PSL and candy corn, but it possibly adds to the sweetness... which is in no way teeth achingly sweet. It is a wonderful semi sweet apple pumpkin bourbon fall scent!! I am very glad I got this!! ❤️

OOKY 2013's Ridiculous Halloweenie! Less spooky than Spooky, and nowhere near as creepy as Creepy, this is the scent of lightly spiced pumpkin candies, decorated with thick marzipan, sweetened with buttercream, an decorated with a touch of lemon zest. Yaaay.....the fun and pressure to be the first, here goes: Wet in bottle: Very sweet and almond-y! Kind of reminds me of the almond oil you bake with! On Skin: Turns to a more marzipan scent...like a boozy type marzipan, but not cloying. Drydown: As it warms up, I get a lovely hint of some spice. Almost like a very faint red-hot cinnamon but then the marzipan mingles in. This is a perfect Fall scent. I don't get lemon zest, but maybe that is the "spice-y" I am getting. Warm, spicy, and sweet! ETS: Tested again a couple days later...should have known better, the marzipan/booziness went plastic-y on me!! Not good!

Poppy leaves, tobacco leaves, mandrake root, and dried ivy. Always hard to be first....I will do my best since I really don't know what poppy leaves or mandrake really smell like! In decant: Sniffing this....I detect the ivy, which is a little sharp, but not eye watering. There is also that leaf smell. It is pleasant and herbal. In damp hair: At first, I almost got a hint of some floral....it was almost "old lady" smelling (if that makes sense?) but then it softened up quickly (good thing!). It turned into an almost sweet herbal leafy type scent. I do not get any tobacco anything out of this. After a few: It ended up being real nice! Kept the sweetness (maybe the poppy?) and a pleasant herbal-ness to it. I am one to not like green type scents but I really like this one. It surprisingly has a low throw and the scent seems to fade pretty quick, but this is nice for those who might have to work close with people and don't want to offend anyone! Also perfect for Spring/Summer!

A lively tune is being played nearby; it is syncopated, a disjointed song, but perky and upbeat. As you turn to the next stage, you see the broad back and shaggy hair of the next performer. He is seated on a stool in front of a battered upright piano. Wire pokes out from holes in the back of the decrepit beechwood, and broken pinblocks are scattered on the floor. A bowl of glistening viscera has been plopped on a small end table next to the pianist. You can see that the ivory keys of the piano are smeared with blood. He pounds and tinkles the keys merrily, and laughs to himself. The man turns to the audience, and his unkempt russet hair, feral yellow eyes, wild balbo, and chin curtain beard betray his lycanthropic nature. He smiles widely, innocently, and waves his red-stained, black-clawed paw in a genial welcome. He bellows cheerfully, “Hi there! Make yourself comfortable! Don’t you look absolutely necrolishious! HA! HAHA! I just made that word up!” He laughs again, turns, and resumes playing the piano. The rambling tune picks up pace, and he plays with a showman’s flourish. The song slows as he chats with the audience from over his shoulder. “You know, my ex-girlfriend was a real handful, but really… I’ve never known a woman that was as tender as she was. She was all gushy, and well… to be honest, she just fell to pieces for me. Eventually, things ran their course… three courses, really… and, as they say, nothing lasts forever. But I’ll always have a piece of her, here… close to my heart.” He chuckles, and pats the chest of his patchwork overcoat. In the distance, possibly from Meskhenet’s stage, you hear one of the phantom musicians give Wulric a gratuitous rim shot. Friendly, charming, and cuddly, but possessing one hell of a mean streak: cocoa absolute, French vanilla, birch tar, lavender, bourbon vetiver, wild musk, cardamom husk, clary sage, and cistus. I never smelled the original one, so here goes...this is a decant I got. In decant - Something a little sweet yet sharp. Guessing it is the vetiver.... it is a sharp note to me. On skin - Some note does make it a little "cuddly" But I think it is the darn vetiver that makes it too sharp for me. I am really not detecting much of the other notes. They are there....faintly. Dry down - I get a bit of the lavender out of this. This is in no way a foody blend, for those worried about the cocoa or vanilla notes. This does have a feral kind of scent to it, but lightly dusted with the lavender and sage. Has a medium throw on me, but I think this would be better on a guy!

Sweet cigar smoke, brown wool, Old Furry Touk accord, and a little bit of coffee. Wow...first to review. Ok...do my best!! Wet: All I smell is sweet tobacco...not too strong, but that is all I get at the moment. On Skin: Still sweet pipe tobacco, but a little sharp at the same time. I don't get any coffee out of this. I do get a sense of wool. Dry down: Mellows nicely, but stays true to the above. I think this would be nice on a guy...not me.
-
A complex single note accord that melds pure bourbon vanilla with the scent of fermented molasses. The scent is dark, thick, sweet, heavy and rich, with a slight spicy smokiness. Wet in bottle: Very yummy rich vanilla...can smell the booze, but it isn't overpowering and very nice! On Skin: Stays the same....but the booze note comes out to play causing the vanilla to hide a bit...still ok!! Few minutes later: Sadly, the booze note (which I was worried about) has gone a bit plastic-y on me. I was holding out hope for this one. Might have to swap/sell away.

Saw this scent listed, and it was an instant buy! I was hoping for a box o' chocolate scent like this. Reminds me of the ones that came out... what... over a decade ago? Anyway, sniffing in the bottle, yes!! The dark chocolate and whiskey are the notes I detect first. There is a mild nutty cream to it. On my skin, it is heaven!! RICH dark chocolate and smooth whiskey with the hazelnut cream, I really want a bite of this! This is rich and deep! Foody/gourmand lovers need this ASAP. This is well balanced and not sweet, but foody and grown up! As it dries, it stays rich. The whiskey isn't 'boozy' but it has that edge that keeps the chocolate and hazelnut cream from being overly sweet. I love this! Might need a BU bottle!!!

OOh.. this is good. Sniffing in the bottle, I get all the scents... the cacao, leather and incense. It is a nice even blend of all three. On my skin, the leather jumps out first. Heavy BLACK leather! Not a sweet loving suede! After it dries down it mellows out quite a bit. I detect mostly the leather and incense. The cacao is in the background keeping this from being too heavy, which is good. I was nervous it would be a huge in-your-face kind of scent. This is a scent to wear out on the town... not in the office!

Sniffing in the bottle, there is a bitter apple! There is a hint of something perfume-y/cologne-y, but it isn't heavy. I am not a fan of anything like that, but this is beautiful! On my skin, it stays the same. I am not getting any 'ice' from this blend, but maybe it is the light perfume-y part of it and my nose just smells it wrong! This has great throw and amazing wear length. All the way, it stays that bitter apple. I wouldn't say this is a foody scent, but if you like apples and foody scents, you will dig this.
-
Swapped for this one, VERY glad I did!! Sniffing in the bottle and initially on my skin, I smell pumpkin tea! Cold pumpkin tea. I was worried, but then as is dried, the lovely bark and cinnamon and hint of tobacco come out!! It is a lovely pumpkin-spiced wood on me. I detect a little whiff off coffee in the dry stage, but this is a light scent to me and stays close but it is a perfect autumn scent! I am a foody/gourmand type person and this is wonderful!!

Yep... there is that wonderful Snake Oil we all love and a hint of fruit! Agreed, the plum is sweet and it mingles well with the S.O. After it dries a bit, I get mostly S.O. with a dash of the sugar plum. This, to me, is actually not very sweet on my skin. This is a lovely and fun scent!! Will be interesting to see how this one ages!

This smells very good in the bottle. I get the sweet purple plum scent along with the Snow White! Applied, the 2 scents mingle more and I get a good balance between the plum and S.W. After a bit, the sugar plum is a little more dominant. As it dries, I am not getting much S.W. from this, but there is a bit there to keep this from going too sweet. Medium throw for me and it is a lovely scent. I think I am more of a fan of the plain Snow White.

Had to get this gingerbread scent too. Sniffing, this one is a bit sweeter than my review for Gingerbread Campfire. This one is good! It is a more of a cookie type gingerbread (which I love) and it does smell like it has been fried! Low throw on me and stays close to the skin. This one isn't overly sweet, so anyone worried about that, you don't have anything to fear. A nice gingerbread spice that was fried. Simple as that! It will be interesting to see how this ages.

Just got my BPAL delivered... got 4 bottles. Always hard to pick one first. So I did this one. I am a sucker for gingerbread!! Sniffing in the bottle, it isn't a sweet, cookie-like gingerbread. more like a raw gingerbread, if that makes sense. Not sure what I am smelling. I thought it was going to be smoky, hence the name, but it isn't. On my skin, the gingerbread gets a bit more of a baking type spice, but still not sweet. There is a background note that I think makes it seem like a campfire, but it is almost a plastic smell. A plastic gingerbread. It isn't bad, but it is odd to me. I was hoping it would be more of a cookie like gingerbread with that smoky campfire vibe, but not getting that. Stays close to the skin and not a lot of throw. Not sure this is for me since I am more of a foodie/gourmand lover.
