  1. Our applesauce is decidedly impure: mashed apples with sugar and honey, slivered with tobacco tar and black tea.

This was one of the better apple scents I've tried. But it was light and had little throw. While it lasted it was sweet cinnamony applesauce. Reminded me of my school lunches when I was a kid and mom would put that little cup of applesauce in my brown paper bag. Cute but not a total keeper for me. Swapped away.

  2. Jiggery Pokery (such a cute name) is definitely a sweet yummy orange creamsicle on me. It has a strong sweet orange candy note mixed with a vanilla cream note. A vanilla ice cream note too me. It's very fun!! I don't get much cotton candy at all. The throw is amazing at first but fades to a lovely skin scent for hours after that. Wish the throw stuck around longer but love this anyway! :)

  3. This one starts as mostly incense on me with a little bit of almond cookie far off in the distance. I am liking it so far. It has a classic BPAL scent to it. Not sure what that is but its there. Good throw and descent staying power. The dry down got a little more cookie like which was a yummy surprise. It's a perfect almond cookie scent...no cherry. :yum:

This scent has grown on me more. It's very pretty and bounces from foodie to sexy and hippie all in the same scent! Love that. Wonder what aging will do to it... :)

  4. Hello all...esp Canadian BPALers or travelers...

Need help and advice. I have a smallish collection of BPAL bottles. Like 30 or so. They're all in a cigar box. Me and my hubby are moving from Alaska to the lower 48 and driving through Canada.

My question is will my BPAL collection have trouble going through the border/customs into Canada and then leaving Canada and going back into the USA????

I don't really want the movers to take them so I need advice and the laws... :blush2:

    Thanks in advance...

  5. In the decant -- don't smell much maybe faint cinnamon

Wet on skin -- heavy cinnamon and red vines

Drydown -- more of the red vine/Twizzlers scent emerges. Now this is yummy don't get me wrong but all I get is this note with cinnamon on top. Not hot cinnamon but sweet cinnamon. No pumpkin or plum or currant really.

Tasty simple scent. Low throw and not much staying power.

  6. This is for the 2015 release.

In the bottle I get kind of a bitter cherry.

On the skin it starts off as a strong dark cherry scent which is awesome because it's nothing like cough syrup (thank goodness). It's a real rich wild dark cherry.

As it dries down I smell the cassis and cardamom coming forward and they make it even more dark and devilish. Don't really smell patchouli or verbena at all maybe it's hiding deep down and will come out with aging. This is no sweet foodie scent, no way. It's a grown up, sexy, daring cherry scent that I am really loving. I only dabbed a little on and it has amazing throw and staying power.

Very glad I took a chance on this baby, love the artwork as well. So beautiful and haunting. :wub3:

  7. *I never smelled the original*

But this scent is damn sexy...sexy chocolate love! :wub3:

Wet it's a delicious but not too sweet or bitter chocolate it's just rich and glorious.

As it dried down the cream note just takes it to a very sexy level. It balances the chocolate so nicely and makes it super creamy!

The throw/staying power is amazing on this baby too since I only dabbed a tiny bit on and I'm still smelling it after 3 hours now and it's still going strong...

I love the bottle art so much too its gorgeous and the scent matches perfectly! This is a grown up and sexy chocolate that I can't wait to wear and feel like a dark sexy chocolate covered carny every time I do. :wub2:

Bravo to Beth and the Labbies :smilenod:

  8. This is sadly all musk and patchouli on me and not in a good way. I don't get any sweetness at all to balance it. I almost smell a tiny bit of leather maybe too. I also smell no coconut just the musky dirtier notes. Hmmm unfortunate since it seems like a love for so many others. Low throw but decent staying power. Glad I got to try it though.

  9. Got a decant of this from a lovely forum member. :wub2:

It started off smelling like bubblegum to me when very wet but then I got more coconut and that cool mintness that is in bubblegum mixed with plumeria. A sweet floral to me. I love the coconut note in this it's definitely lighter, sweeter, and summery. It had low throw and when it dried down it was only floral and no more gum or coconut. Fun to try, wish the coconut stuck around longer. ;)

  10. Got a decant from a sweet forum member.

This scent was all smoky and dark clove on me! I didn't get much vanilla, cinnamon, or beeswax. It seemed masculine on my skin but still sexy. Very unisex I'd say. It didn't have much throw but stayed close the skin and strong with each wrist sniff. It was addicting though. And I did like it. Just something kept it just too smoky and not sweet for me to fall in total love. Just stayed in the like stage. Very glad I got to try it though. A unique scent that probably smells different on everyone and maybe best on a male. Might also turn more glorious with some aging I bet. ;)

  11. Got a decant from a lovely forumite.

This was over all just a light single note sweet potato scent. Now don't get me wrong it was delicious and smelled like the real thing but it was light on my skin and had light throw. I didn't get any pumpkin seeds or any of the other notes. Just a warm light sweet potato mash scent. So glad I got to try it though. What fun. :)

  12. Got a decant of this from a lovely forumite.

To me it is all a sweetened leather. I don't get much else but it is lovely and sophisticated. Different then any other HG I tried. It has light throw though...wish it was stronger.

But overall it's a sexy sweet leather.

  13. This is a HG scent for me! I love it so much and it's my favorite pumpkin scent! :wub2:

In the bottle you smell the delicious cheesecake...it's so realistic. When I dab it on my skin the pumpkin comes out more and it's the bulk of the throw but this isn't just pumpkin it's a sweet delicious perfect foodie pumpkin scent. It has a pumpkin pie feel but not too much cinnamon. The carrot and crust notes are there as well but they are lighter. I love the cheesecake note though SO MUCH. Yes it makes me want cheesecake but that's ok. The staying power is great it has lighter throw but stays close to the skin for a LONG time. Also it has the cutest label ever. I knew when I saw the label I would have to have it in my collection. I've been looking for a bottle forever so glad to finally have one! But still want more!! :wub3:

  14. Got a decant from a lovely forum member.

When I first put it on it's all patchouli all the time! I like this patchouli though it's in the yummy realm for me. I didn't get much hazelnut but some of the vanilla does come out in the dry down. I wish there was more vanilla and hazelnut but this is definitely patchouli heavy! I like it though. Decent throw and staying power too.

  15. I love all the foodie notes in this scent but don't like the floral notes. Jasmine and me do not get along really. But the yam cake and flan are heaven. I want a foodie flan scent one day from BPAL please. Passed this on to someone who likes floral scents with sweet added in. It had pretty good throw and staying power though. Which was nice. :)

  16. This is delicious! In the bottle I smell patchouli mostly. But when I dab it on my skin the wetness is all gingerbread and coconut. YUM! Then when it dries down I definitely get Goblin with delicious gingerbread. I love Goblin very much but the staying power is eh. But this scent has much better staying power and just smells better the longer it's on my skin. It doesn't have much throw and stays close to the skin but that is ok, it's just for me and doesn't bother anyone. ;) I love all the notes in this one. It's a total WIN! :wub2:

Oh and the label is so cute too. :P

  17. This scent wet is beautiful...it's honeysuckle sweet and heavy gardenia scented. But as it dries down the powder takes over!! I'm guessing its the amber turning and maybe diamond accord. I don't know what diamond accord smells like but powder is what I get. The honeysuckle is lovely but fades away and so does the gardenia after about 20 minutes. It's not a bad scent just more powdery then I thought it would be. I also never get any patchouli maybe with age it will come out. Love the Luper labels though they are so playful and sexy. ;)

  18. When I put this on I got all sweet and tangy grapefruit and not much else. In the dry down I was hoping to get the cake instead I got mostly the carnation and strawberry. The carnation was very spicy! After a while that's all that stuck around too. This is a yummy fun scent but didn't blow me away. So glad I got to try it though and it was a frimp from a wonderful forumite! ;)

  19. In the bottle: sweet strawberry

Wet: white chocolate and strawberry and it is delicious! I want to eat it off my arm.

Drydown: The strawberry sticks around and the chocolate fades away SO fast. Most chocolate scents do this to me sadly.

This was foodie heaven while it lasted and so yummy! :yum: But sadly it was only around like 20-30 minutes tops. The poof...gone.
