  1. Oh Sprinklecake. We have fallen back in love. I didn't review this the first time I had a bottle because it was a light cake scent on me. It was good but just eh. I sold it off. BUT my skin has been loving all things cake again big time so I wanted to give this a second try. Got another bottle from a forumite and now its all delicious frosting and sprinkles. I can actually smell each pretty sprinkle (my coworker even agreed). So weird. So now I have another bottle coming to me. ;) And I hope it's the same spinkle love again! There are variations I hear of this and since it's no longer available I'm getting what I can. :D

  2. Got some imps of Chimera and I really like it. It's definately the cinnamon in a cinnabun just wish it had more of the buttercream frosting!

Teatime in Roswell was a recent win on me I love it! Cake and tea for sure. :yum:

I sold off a few of the Beaver Moon's because while they were goreous foodies my skin ate them up too fast. I realize I love foodies with amazing staying power.

I also have a bottle of Sprinklecake coming to me. I had a bottle but I hear there are variations and the bottle coming now should be different then the one I had originally. Can't wait! :D

Well keep the foodie and cake scents coming! I plan to come back to this thread more often. :yum:

  3. I was going to say Playful Wooden Mallets, but then I remembered that you do not love it...

How about mixing Chimera with Boo?

Good memory remembering PWM didn't work on me. Actually it worked but was too light. I did really like it though. I had Boo too but it didn't have staying power on me either. But I definately think I need a bottle of Chimera. It seems to be the holy grail of cinnamon roll scents! ;) Maybe I'll track down an imp first...

  4. I'm back and I need a BPAL that smells like a cinnamon bun. Now I know it's been mentioned a bit before but I need a real cinnabon cinnamon bun smell. Like cinnamon, pastry, cake, sugar, and that decadent buttercream frosting! I don't want just cinnamon I need the frosting and sugar as well...please help. I will be reading way back into this thread as well. But I want some current recs too...

EDIT: I also need great throw and longevity too. A must!!

  5. I got a decant of this from a forumite and I do love it but for different reasons then to wear. On me I actually get that tea, wool, and buttery scent. But I do smell the beeswax as well. It is masculine and reminds me of a man. A cuddly Ichabod type man. I don't need a bottle but I have slathered a little on before bed to make me think of my man and how much I miss him. It's comforting in that way. It'll be a fun decant while it lasts.

  6. I never reviewed this when I tried it but I will add my thoughts now...it IS a very nice soft warm cinnamon, not hot or naughty, with a soft rich wood scent as well. It was so nice but not nearly as strong as I would like it to be and had light throw. I wanted to amp the cinnamon more but my skin just ate it up. I really wanted to LOVE it but I liked it very much. ;) I personally prefer The Gorobble for my cinnamon. :P

  7. Pretty Peony is the first thing I smell. This is the first floral in a while that I have liked. It has such a pretty feel to it. I smell the vanilla orchid way in the back. The peony is the star of the show as someone mentioned before. The only thing is I hope this has some lasting power. Florals usually poop out on me. But I may keep this around because it's just so pretty.

EDIT: Passed on to my Mommy ;)

  8. I love this! I love all things EGG and this is exactly what I hoped it would be. It's a light egg scent that reminds me of tamago (the egg sushi)in a good way or a light creme brulee. Love the bottle art too so cute. :wub2:

EDIT: Ended up selling because the throw was so light

  9. Resurrecting this one because I wanted to know what plum scent you all reccomend for me. I'm looking for a fat, juicy, sweet, strong plum. I want a lot of sweetness but that dark richness that plum has. A strong and long lasting plum is a super bonus. If it's mixed with anything make it sweet like vanilla, milk, chocolate even...please help me... :beg: thanks!

Have you tried Bordello? I just tried over the weekend and have fallen in love with it. Probably my favorite plum scent.

Prunella is cream, plums & wildflowers - it turned mostly floral on me but it might turn out different on you. Another Plum blend I like is Kitsune Tsuki - very juicy plum in that one. If you are looking for a darker plum scent then you could try Morgause or Blood Countess.

    Hope that helps

Thank you for responding! :D Bordello was nice but smelled too much like wine too me. Pretty wine. Prunella was too light on me. So I may have to try Kitsune Tsuki only because I LOVE the name and foxes, but I worry it's still floral. Morgause sounds way too floral and Blood Countess sounds to floral and smoky.

  11. Alice...smells just like I envision her. Delicate, lightly sweet in a little blue dress and blonde hair. I wish Alice was a little darker & foodier (in scent anyway). It is so lovely though. I smell light creamy honey, carnation, but not much rose. Very pretty though. :smilenod:

  12. In the bottle I smell vanilla (cheesecake) and light lavender. On skin this is just so pretty and soft. Not usually something I go for I love strong scents. But there's something about the honey and lavender that sucks me in and calms me. And I don't like lavender usually either. This just comforts me. I wore it to bed once too and it was sweet dreams for me. Glad I was lucky enough to get the lavender cheesecake dream. :wub2:

  13. There was an announcement made by wickedgoddess. There was a component issue, and they should be starting to ship soonish (think it said end of Feb. but I could be wrong).

The only scent that has black vanilla listed as a note is Antikythera Mechanism (Teakwood, oak, black vanilla, and tobacco)and it's currently on back order and not available for purchase.

I thought about that one too. It sounds nice. I was able to add it to my shopping cart, but didn't buy it. Where did you see that it was discontinued?

Maybe they are shipping it again! How could we find out?

  14. Goblin isn't really sweet.. it's kinda gnarly, raw, dirty - but in a good way.. but that's coming from me, a lover of black coconut :) The benzoin in Goblin is sweet and syrupy - similar to a dark vanilla - but it's not 'foodie' like vanilla is, but mostly it's all about the patchouli with Goblin - it's pretty patchouli-heavy, but it's not as full-on as it is in #occupywallstreet, and the coconut/benzoin sweeten it up nicely. Tombstone is really lovely - the balsam is similar to the hemp in BB, and the cedar is soft and smooth because it has the sassafras to warm it up, but to me the vanilla is the star of the show - with the balsam it has a really nice smokey tone.

They're both worth a try, I'd say.. but out of the two, Goblin is probably more Banshee Beat-ish because it has that same raw kind of vibe about it, and the same syrupy rich feel as BB. If you like black coconut and patchouli, then Gobin is a must-try anyways

I'm so torn. I may just order both (Goblin & Tombstone) and hope for the best! I could always swap/sell if they don't work out. But I'm still wondering which vanilla is in BB and if I could find it in another sent as well to layer. ;)

  15. Some people compare Goblin to BB--the patchouli note is similar, but it lacks that yummy vanilla and hemp. I've had better luck with a perfume from another company (that's alcohol-based) that I found quite similar. Maybe you could layer Goblin with something vanilla-y--Tombstone?

Is Goblin sweet at all? Or is it all Patchoulli? And Tomstone scares me because of the balsam and cedar but does the vanilla overpower those?

Wonder what vanilla scent would be the same/closest as the one in Banshee Beat to layer with?

  16. Goblin is wonderful patchouli! Also Mme. Moriarty from the Carnival has a great patchouli, but really in the general catalog (i.e., impable) - Goblin is my favorite!

    Reviews are here.

ETA; my other favorite is Banshee Beat, discontinued but you can still find it on the sale pages!

Ok...I too am in love with Banshee Beat. Been doing research all night looking for a GC scent that is most like it. What I love is the sweet vanilla with the light patchoulli and hemp in the background. Which of all the recs you guys gave is most like that? I hated the patchoulli in #occupywallstreet it was tooo strong. Please advise! Thanks

  17. I need to know what GCs smell like Banshee Beat! I spilled my bottle today :cry2: (first devastating spill ever). I'm hoping a sweet forumite will sell me there back up. But if that does not happen I need to know what else may work. I LOVE the black vanilla note in it the most. And the patchoulli in it is the ONLY patchoulli that worked for me so far. So please tell me what else is similar or the closest! :wub2:
