  1. Sadly this was mostly black licorice and cough syrup on me. I didn't get much cinnamon which is odd because usually it's strong on my skin. Maybe the licorice and cherry are just too much here.

I don't really like this one. It's just not pleasant and kind of stinky to me. Medicinal.

Again I think I love the idea (and eating) of black licorice but shouldn't wear it. It doesn't work well with cherry either. Maybe a hit of vanilla would of helped balance it out not cinnamon. :(

  2. In the bottle: pineapple

Wet: the pineapple and rum are the strongest notes and I smell a bit of coconut too. Yummy and fruity.

Drydown: the rum comes out stronger now and the pineapple still stays in the front and present as well. Oddly I never really get vanilla but it would be awesome if I did. That would add more creaminess to this overall fruity drink.

This is a sweet fun fruity scent. It has good throw and lasted about 2 hours.

  3. In the bottle: light black licorice

Wet: black licorice with some powdery amber. Also the clove and ginger are starting come out too.

Drydown: This is still mostly black licorice on the drydown and ginger. It's a little stingy like a bee but the sting is all black licorice.

The throw was good and it lasted about 3 hours.

  4. This scent is so amazing in it's realistic vibe.

When I first put it on I get the sweet hot chocolate scent with a tiny dash of marshmallow. I love this stage so much! :P It's the perfect cup of hot cocoa. BUT on the dry down out comes the glue and felt and I don't know how they do it but it really smells like glue and felt. While it is very cool I do not want to smell like it. So this scent was more of an experience then something I want to smell like daily. The hot chocolate part is so good though. It had very low throw and only lasted about an hour. And sadly the drydown is all glue. :wacko2:

  5. This scent was mostly a sweet pea scent on me. It was a delicate sweet floral with a touch of sweetness probably from the vanilla and candyfloss. It's not foodie at all though and just a sweet pretty girlie scent. It had ok throw but did stay close to the skin for a while. The label is adorable too, I love Rosy Maple moths and I think that's the main reason I got this scent.

  6. This was mostly berry, chocolate, and cake on me. With some tea notes mingled in too. I thought it would be the ultimate foodie scent. While it is super foodie it is weak. Meaning low throw and didn't last long at all. So sad. :(

In bottle: lemon, light chocolate, maybe cake

Wet: more berries and lemon with light chocolate and a soft cake note.

Drydown: soft white cake, lemon, and barely any chocolate or berries anymore. Maybe a dash of tea and cream.

As I said before it was gone under a half hour though sadly.

  7. This was mostly a black licorice single note on me. I barely got any chocolate. When wet it was all black licorice but on the dry down there was just a hint of a sweet chocolate note maybe. It was the perfect scent if you want black licorice all day long. It had good staying power and good throw. :P Overall I love to eat black licorice but not sure if I want to smell like it though. :blush2:

  8. A fuzzy brown honey-dusted musk covering freshly-washed baby skin and a howl of milk breath. In the background, there's the barest hint of upturned soil and dew-covered squished stems from a trampled flowerbed.

This actually was a cute little furry milky scent. I thought of a little puppy when I smelled it. How does Beth do that. It was very soft though and I didn't get much of the musk which was ok. This was very light though and lasted about an hour. Makes me wish my pups never grew up and stayed puppies forever.

  9. This is a very light and lovely gardenia and honey scent. I love Gardenias and when it comes to florals they are one of the few I will try. The honey note is also light and lovely here not too powdery. The sad part of this scent is it has very low throw and only lasted about a half hour. I was so sad. It is a wonderful pretty scent while it lasts though. Simple and beautiful.

  10. This was mostly white chocolate with too many florals and some soapy notes. It's the first 13 I ever got and I just feel at the end of the day there is too much going on. The white chocolate note was nice but the florals and soapiness were making this not work for me. Glad I got to try a 13 though. That was fun! ;) It had good throw and lasted maybe an hour on me.

  11. In the bottle: sassafrass (to me that means root beer)

Wet: this smells like root beer mixed with incense which must be the champaca. Which is pretty cool and masculine. The tonka is there and must be what's adding more sweetness and making it smell so much like root beer.

Drydown: I never get any tea here it must be drowned in sassafras. But that is what the dry down is. Almost a sassafras single note on my skin.

This has pretty good throw and lasted about 2 hours.

  12. Sadly this scent was all hay and corn on me! :wacko2: BPALs' hay note is very strong and I amp it. I couldn't smell any of the other notes really. It was not good on me unfortunately. It did last a while on me and maybe after it faded/dried down there was a light milky note mixed with the hay and corn. Sorry little cicada we do not get along.

  13. This was a strange scent. It wasn't really foodie at all. I didn't get much of the cream it was mainly a sour milk scent on me. Like spoiled milk almost. I think it was the ginger and clove mixing weirdly with with the cream. This was just odd. Maybe it was pine. It's not listed in the notes but it comes out in the scent too. This was weird. Low throw and lasted maybe 2 hours though.

  14. This scent was mostly powder on me. It wasn't baby powder but just powder. I think the orris and and rose are making it too powdery. I actually wouldn't have minded a baby powder scent. That sweet happy baby scent but this wasn't that. I was actually hoping for more of the honeyed milk too and I never really get that either. So sad. :(

It had ok throw but didn't last very long. Maybe an hour.

  15. I wasn't sure this scent would be a winner for me but I love Jareth so I had to try it. Love that he is on the label too!

In the bottle: didn't smell much sadly maybe a little tonka and tea

Wet: the leather came out more but it was a soft light leather. Reminded me more of suede. The fougere is there and it is lovely. It comes off and a light tea scent. The oudh and musk is there too...

Drydown: sadly this is when the musk and oudh mess things up for me. They get kinda powdery and take away any sweetness that there was earlier in the scent. It's all very light though too. I thought this scent would be much stronger and masculine. I actually really wanted it to be. But it's light, leathery, and powdery. It's nice but not a total win. Sorry Jareth we cannot stay together lol :P

  16. In the bottle: yummy currants

Wet: The rose comes out a little and adds a powderiness to the currant tarts. But it is all about the currant note. I really love it! It sweet juicy and tart and just foodie enough for me to make it a love. It helps make the roses not take over.

Drydown: The rose still hovers above as a powdery rose scent. I definitely see red roses here. And the currant tarts stays sweet and closer to my skin. I really love this scent. It has great staying power and really makes me think of the Knave of Hearts. It's perfect.

  17. This one was mostly anise and musk on me and maybe some myrrh. Myrrh is powdery on me so that happened here. The anise was pretty but mixed with the musk it was just ok. Not too dynamic and I wanted more from it. It was mostly all anise and musk. It had low throw but stayed close to the skin for a while. I never really got smoky woods at all. Strange.

  18. I tested this a while ago but I do remember it was very light and had little to no throw. But what I wrote as my notes was that it was mostly saffron and cherry but so light it was heartbreaking. I was very excited to try this scent but sadly it did nothing for me. Weird how light it was. :( I can't even elaborate more on my review because there wasn't much happening at all.

  19. This scent was a lovely light coconut and musk scent. It had barely any throw on me and didn't last long, but while it was there is was just a nice perfume type scent. I do wish the coconut was foodier and sweeter. I actually wanted the whole scent to be foodier. But it's not, it's light coconut, soft natural sugar, and some musk.

  20. A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers.

    2011

Oh Snow White! I wanted us to get along because I love Snow White and you are very popular! But alas it wasn't love. I do like it but here's what happen...

In the bottle: a pretty soft sweet snow scent

On the skin: It starts out sweet and pretty and soft but then the flower note comes in and kinda ruins it. I'm not a big floral fan. There's only a couple florals that work for me and this one isn't. It's powdery and and too green or maybe ozoney. But underneath and close to my skin is a sweet soft scent that I like.

Drydown: The flowers calm down and then the scent kinda disapears on me. I'm so sad. I do think I would give this scent another try though. Maybe different years have different outcomes. So even though it didn't really work it wasn't a bad scent just not the sweet snowy coconut scent everyone raves about! That's what I wanted!!

  21. This was mainly a powdery perfumey pink scent. I did get some of the strawberry but I think the cognac gave it a strange non sweet note and overpowered it. Something was very powdery on me though and that took away from the loveliness. Maybe the tea rose was powdery. Really not sure. The scent is nice though but not sweet or unique enough for me. Had good throw and lasted a good while though.

  22. I've mentioned in other reviews that the hay note BPAL uses really bugs my nose and takes over some scents and sadly that's what happen here. But let me share my other thoughts too...

In the bottle: carrot cake with hay

Wet: hay over light carrot cake (which that note would amp more and not the hay). I also get a little bit of hazelnut too. But its fleeting.

Drydown: Now the berries come out but they are more herbal berries and not sweet. The carrot cake note is totally gone and that pesky hay note is still there and won't go away. Darn! :(

  23. 2011

    In the bottle: musky caramel

Wet: caramel is strongest note but there is also some powdery amber and spices coming out now too

Drydown: this scent is strong and has a lot things going on. Every time I sniff my arm or get a whiff of the throw I get different notes. I really like that about this scent, but what is hurting it for me is the amber is very powdery and kinda takes over after a while. Amber does this on me sometimes. It's definitely a sexy scent and very mysterious. It's not "foodie" even though the caramel is there so I feel like it'll work for a lot of different tastes.

Had great throw and good staying power too.
