  1. Imp: Light herbal-ly. Pretty. I can smell the sage and the sweet pea.

On skin: sweet pea and more sweet pea.

Dry: The musk makes everything so beautiful! This smells "pink", if that makes sense. The tonka starts to make an appearance as well. This kind of reminds me of Herbal Essences shampoo as a sophisticated perfume.

Overall: Love it! This smells like twirling around under the bright spring sunlight in a flowy pink skirt.

  2. Bottle: Very, very spicy, foody, and smokey. Is the carnation the spicy bit? Not something I like so far.

On skin: Same as above but amp that a million times. It smells like a Yankee Candle store-sort of overwhelming scent-wise.

Dry 10-15 minutes later: Finally, lovely beautiful orange blossom. A lightly sweet pretty, creamy floral. I'm not really getting the cream from Milk Moon from this, though. This is a good thing.

Overall: If I can endure the initial stages of Yankee Candle Purgatory I get to experience the beautiful dry-down stages of this. As I wrote with Daiyu, I'm not sure I'd wear this in the summer but in autumn this would be nice.

Edited so I make some kind of sense. :P

  3. Bottle: Grape cough syrup. Erg. Almost sickly sweet, very "purple". I love purple, but I'm scared off by the syrupy nature of this scent.

On skin: Berries, berries, berries although it's not as overwhelming as in the bottle. Oh, white musk and tea leaf where are you guys??

Dry: Something floral (the jasmine?). I'm surprised because jasmine goes from zero to OMGI'MAFLORALLOOKITMEEE!!!! on my skin in a nanosecond. This is quite pretty and keeps the berry note from going to straight cough syrup. It's still sweet though. There's a really pretty, warm "sugar" note I'm getting from this. The musk and tea leaf are still MIA :P

A very feminine and pretty scent, but I think I'll wear it in autumn. It's much too heavy for summer. It kind of reminds me of Hungry Ghost Moon's much much more feminine cousin.

  4. Wet: herbal-y, mostly floral. Just a hint of the red wine.

On skin: Still floral though now it's sweeter. Not sickly sweet, something's there to ground it (the "dirt" note?). Also, for some reason I'm getting ginger from this-not spicy ginger but the fresh element of it.

Later: more dirt notes, but now I also smell something "dry".

This Nosferatu oil is masculine in a sleek, old money kind of way. He's more likely to take you to the opera than stay in for pizza and beer.

This is quite lovely actually, though due to the sweet herbal-ness of it, it's a no-go on getting a bottle.

  5. In imp: Sandlewood, something herby and wet. No mandarin oranges or mango unfortunately.

Wet: Sandlewood, sandlewood, and yes, more sandlewood.

Dry: Sandlewood, with a bit of lovely white musk to round it out. I can't smell the orange or mango at all :P

Overall: Great if you like sandlewood, but I couldn't detect any of the mandarin orange or mango. Looking at the scents, I thought this would be perfect for me, but it's a no go. I'll certainly keep my imp, but I'm definitely not getting a bottle. This zombie needs more oranges!!

  6. In the bottle: spoiled milk, bitter grapes and some kind of "earthy" smell, the figs? No honey, pomegranates or dates. This is not looking up, folks.

Wet on skin: OMG, getitoff, getitoff, getitoff!!!

Dry 5 minutes later (I attempted to stick with it): Baby vomit, ie: spoiled milk and spoiled fruit. And the figs. Apparently figs hate me and Milk Moon does too :P This blend actually made me quite queasy and gave me a headache. No, thank you. I actually had to try and scrub this scent off of my hand twice. Man, I had such high hopes for this one too.

  7. Recieved as a frimp!

In the imp: crisp florals. I am starting to get a little wary of this....

On skin: Minty, herby cool scent with something that unfortunately smells icky to

me underneath. That icky thing smells earthy and....kind of like old vase water :P This is not looking up.

    Dry: erm...same as above.

Verdict: The mintyness was great, but that other part was not. I actually had to go wash it off and slather some Dorian in its place. Utrennyaya I really really loved your name but obviously, we were not meant to be...

  8. A frimp from the lab. Yay!

In the imp: Extremely strong lavender and vetiver. I didn't even have to put it up to my nose to sniff. Bluebeard just wafted towards me.

Wet on skin: Lavender, lavender, lavender.....also, more lavender.

Dry: Lovely violets, with something "dryer" underneath, vetiver? Oooh, and a hint of musk. Oddly, considering how strong this was in the imp, I'm smelling anything at all when my wrist isn't beneath my nose.

Verdict: Wow. An unexpected like. I love violets, but all that talk of lavender and vetiver scared me. I think this may actually be the most beautiful BPAL violet I've ever smelled. This is kind of masculine and I imagine it must be gorgeous on a guy (note to self: bring along the imp the next time I see the bf! ). I don't smell rage in here though, but then again I don't smell the decapitated heads either, which is a good thing :P .

Geez, I can't stop sniffing my wrist!

  9. In the imp: wet flowers. Interesting, I have no idea what kind of flowers but thankfully they're not jasmine or magnolia which tend to overwhelm me. As odd as this sounds, it's a light floral that smells like those white florals that eat me alive.

On skin: wet flowers and my mom's perfume.

Dry: Aah, finally it smells like fresh laundry/"linen" scented air spray and not florals. Very pretty, but unfortunately not for me. I think I'll keep it around a bit longer to see if I can layer it with anything else....

  10. In the imp: wet, juicy apricots with a hint of something else kinda sharp (orange blossom?)

Wet on skin: bright apricots. Reminds me of eating fruit on a sunny summer day actually. The orange blossom scent magically disappeared on my skin, leaving just the fruit.

Dry: I love this scent so much when it dries. The fruity apricot is balanced by the white musk that comes out, making it smell playful but a tad more sophisticated than just a fruit scent. (It also saved it from smelling like regular ol' Bath and Body Works Peach Body Spray..not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Overall: An unexpected like for this one :P . I love fruity scents but apricots/peach don't normally do anything for me. I think it's the white musk that makes me like this. Small to moderate throw, I can catch a whiff of it on myself every once in a while.

  11. Ooo, my very first review!

In the bottle: green, citrusy and a bit woodsy as well.

Wet: Loads of sweet/sugary ginger and a hint of spicy woodsyness.

Dry, 40 minutes later: Ummm, am I the only person getting a light Chanel perfume from this?

This is a sophisticated but light and not overly stuffy scent. Very pretty! :P
