  1. This is pretty! (Although more viscous than I expected. My skin doesn't seem to want to absorb it!) On first application, I catch the vanilla first, but that merges with a sweet cherry note that I assume is the dragon's blood resin. It reminds me of candy, but I wouldn't describe it as sugary.

As it dries, it becomes a little smokier, a little creamier. And there's a hint of spice that's quite enticing.

I really like this. I don't know if I bottle like it, but it's a close call.

  2. On first application this is strong cinnamon and musk. It reminds me of Blood Moon, actually. As it dries, however, it becomes much drier, much spicier. The pepper and ginger make an appearance, and they grow more dominant over time. I can detect the honey as well, but it isn't very strong--it lends a sweet note to the blend, but I have to sniff closely to identify it as honey.

I'd say this is a sexy scent, except it reminds me of the chai tea I drank the other day. Sensual would be a better word, I suppose, as this isn't quite foody, but richly sweet and spicy enough to qualify.

  3. On first application, this is sharp and wild and sweet. A crisp breeze, a forest afar, and a field of wildflowers. Beautiful!

After a few minutes, however, this fades to faintly sweet wood, with leaves moldering underfoot. And then it's gone. Sigh.

  4. This is actually a heavy green when I first apply it--it's vegetative and thick, but not particularly floral. As it dries, I get a sharper hint of amber, and it becomes more floral, but I can't actually catch any roses. It actually gets muddier as it dries, too.

This is definitely a melancholy and funereal sort of scent, but it puzzles me. I like rose blends, but I don't get a hint of rose at all.

  5. On first application, this is grape and pear. It's juicy and sweet, but it also reminds me of bubblegum, a little bit. As it dries, however, it becomes an enticing and sweet blend. It still has that bubblegum element, but it's fading under a nice floral note.

After a while, this becomes a beautifully complex, summery scent. Incredibly sweet and feminine, but not sugary. I can see why this was so popular.

  6. This is a strong cedar on first application, with verbena blooming close behind it. It's fresh, as if I were standing near in a garden, near a mountain. It's not sweet, but hints at it.

After a while, the citrus notes become stronger, though the blend itself doesn't become much sweeter. It's nicely invigorating, actually, and a little breezy. I really like it--it's a shame it's been discontinued. :P

  7. On first application, this is cool fruit, with the barest hint of florals. Though, now that I notice cucumber on the list of notes, I think that might be what I'm smelling--it's sweet, so I first mistook it for melon. I'm catching the juniper as well, as the scent dries, and it's really an overall lovely scent. I get mostly the cucumber and juniper, but all the rest make it a complex and moonlit sort of blend.

This is gorgeous, and I like it more each time I sniff it. It's got decent throw, and it seems to be lasting much longer on me than other, similar blends do. I would adore having a bottle of this, but I know the chances. When's the next blue moon, again? :P

  8. On first application, this is both sweet and herbal--the lily and the jasmine are predominant, but the rosemary is also evident. It's creamy and just the faintest bit sharp. There's also a musk note that's downright animalistic, which doesn't quite fit with the rest of the blend.

As it dries, this becomes mostly jasmine and musk. It's a little sharp, but much nicer than I expected, given my first impression. Definitely complex, and it does, somehow, feel dreamlike.

  9. This is all tea and wood on me, on first application, herbal and a little dry. After a little bit, it becomes sharper, a little greener, with just a hint of something citrus. The wood really gets amped on my skin, though, so it's almost as if someone spilled a cup of tea outside a dusty woodshop.

Because of the strong wood notes, this is more of an atmospheric scent than a perfume, to me. Beautifully done, however--it doesn't become pencil shavings, as I experienced with The Red Queen. I really like it, but it's not something I would wear.

  10. On first application, this is super-pretty. Sweetly floral, and very clean. After the initial bloom, it fades to a nice, sweet, faintly herbal scent.

This is, as others have said, a very innocent and girlish perfume. As it fades, I definitely get an aquatic note as well. Unfortunately, as with other ADiMV scents, this fades to almost nothing on me within half an hour. :P

  11. I know it's listed on the web site as a 21-45 day turn around, but I'm wondering if this is normal:

I placed an order on 12/5. I got charged for it on 12/15. It's now 12/28 and I haven't received it nor heard a word about it. I figured I would get charged when the order was shipping, but gave it the benefit of the doubt since if that were the case, it'd only be a 7 day turn around. Just wanted to know if this is normal is all. :P

Also, is the 21-45 day thing normal or is it high volume because of the holidays?

The 21-45 day turnaround time is standard for every order, as far as I've experienced. According to the Click'n'Ship and "I got my order" threads, the latest shipped were ordered around 11/15, the Anniversary update. Most people receive a Click'n'Ship notification when their order has shipped from the lab.

I'm not sure about why we're charged when we are--if there's a specific procedure--but I believe we are charged soon after the order is made, not when the order is shipped.

  12. On first application, this is carnation sweetened with a hint of tuberose. I detect the musk as well, but I'm sadly ignorant of the other notes in the blend.

It's light but not too light, a pleasantly sharp and creamy floral to my nose. Very pretty, but not quite to my taste.

  13. On first application, this is sweet, floral, and a little juicy. The honey is there, but it's tempered so well by the floral notes that I hardly recognized it at first.

After a while, it becomes earthier, drier. It also fades to barely anything, sadly. This is a lovely and delicate scent, but alas, it doesn't last long enough on me at all.

  14. On first application this is butter and honey, sprinkled with chestnuts and sugar. Almost tooth-achingly sweet. Weirdly, though, it recedes almost immediately, and pine comes to the forefront. It's tempered by the underlying sweetness, but it's definitely evergreen on me.

This blend is really schizophrenic on me, as it shifts between evergreen and foody with each sniff, and there's never a happy medium. They're both really nice notes, but it never settles.

It doesn't really change as it dries, but I get used to it, and now I really, really like it. It's comforting and sweet, with a breath of frost. It doesn't quite merit a bottle, but I think I'll hold onto the bit that I have.

  15. On first application this is a light, cool floral. It's sharp and clean and delicate, with barely any throw. Definitely an evening scent. I think I detect the lily, and the sweetness of the moonflower, but this is so well-balanced I can't really distinguish individual notes.

Although this scent is a little powdery, it's also wonderfully fresh and sweet. I don't think this is a scent for me, but it is a lovely one.

  16. This is tobacco smoke and leather armchair on first application, slightly sweet and dusty. Over time, it gets smokier, less sweet, and the wood notes make themselves known.

This scent is exactly what it describes, I think--a slightly shadowed workroom, cluttered with tools and half-carved wooden toys, with wisps of smoke gathering in the corners. It's masculine, but comfortable, as well. Lovely.

  17. On first application, this is spicy gingerbread. It's not quite baked on first application, but over time, this becomes the exact replica of fresh gingerbread cookies. Yum!

Sadly, this fades very quickly on me, but it's delicious while it's still present.

  18. Ah. This is mint-flavored ice on first application, frosty and barely sweet. After a little while, I also get an underlying evergreen scent I didn't expect.

It reminds of Snow Bunny, actually, except less fresh, less green. The remnants of a field under a layer of ice. There's dirt underneath this, as it fades, and a mossy note that I usually associate with aquatic scents. Huh.

I like this scent a lot, but unfortunately, it fades to almost nothing within half an hour. I wish it lasted longer.

  19. On first application this is all amber, warm and sweet and pure. I'm not familiar with any of the other notes listed, aside from tonka, so I can't pick out them out. It's a beautifully balanced blend of resin, partly sweet and partly spicy.

This fades really quickly on me, but it leaves a sweet echo behind. Lovely.

  20. I've been reading the reviews of this scent avidly, because I had no idea what to expect from this scent.

Interestingly, despite previous concerns, I don't get floral notes from this scent at all. To me, it's all hairspray and champagne, and anything floral is...ambient would be the best term. There are floral notes because other people in the room are wearing floral perfume, but it's almost obscured completely by the booze and the bodies and the smoke drifting in from outside.

This smells like a lull during a wild New Year's Eve party. It's warm and musky and running the edge of giddy. Neat!

  21. This smells, yes, exactly like its description. It's sweet and fresh rose, heady and the slightest bit intoxicating. I've enjoyed a lot of the other rose blends, but I think this is the most potent one I've sniffed so far.

Over time, it becomes a little less overpowering, but stays just as sweet and pretty as previously. It's actually a little cool, as well, which is fascinating.

    I love this.

  22. On first application, this is a soft and distant incense on me. It's definitely there, but somehow filtered through an open courtyard, covered in snow. The reminds me the faintest bit of Blood Moon--there's a sweet, grain note that I can barely detect.

On me, this fades quickly, into a sweet and smokey note that really beautiful. I can't quite pin this scent down yet, but I do want a bottle of it.

  23. On first application, this is a musky woods type of smell--definitely masculine to my nose. As it fades, it gets a little earthier, but the musk stays dominant and sharp in this scent.

Overall, I like the scent, but it's not one I think I'd wear.

  24. On first application, this is pure incense--the frankincense, myrrh, and resin I've come to expect. It's a little sweeter than I remember, from my visits to Catholic churches, but there's also a woody component that recalls polished pews and elaborately carved lecterns.

The resins come out more strongly after a while, and it becomes a little powdery, a little smokier. This a beautiful, warm scent, but I'm not sure I'd wear it very often. I'm tempted to buy a bottle, though, if only for the art.

  25. On first application, this is pure peppermint candy cane, crushed into a jagged powder and slightly cold. Wow!

It fades a little, but for the most part, this stays strong for a while, and it has excellent throw. Yum.
