    Input, please!

Name: Leslie, aka: Missanthropy, and "Boo" - to my close friends and family. Photo: http://users.adelphia.net/~impurity/newfaces.jpg Sin of choice: Lust - hubba hubba. Virtue you embody: Loyalty. To the DEATH. Astrological Info: Aries/Pisces Cusp - Ascending Pisces - Moon in Pisces. In short, I'm a sap sucking, hopelessly romantic believer in true love, and "happily ever after". I seem to attract the total opposite. Where's that gosh darn Aries side when I need it most! How you found out about BPAL: From "Psychostatic", and Ebony (Lisa). Comments: I wish I could get a massive refund for all the oils and perfumes I've wasted money on over the years. If I could, I'd restock with nothing but Black Phoenix scents.

Ditto. I think my poor Mailman is afraid of me. I am FOREVER stalking him for some kind or order from somewhere. But I'm good to him. I know when his birthday is, so I leave him a little present. I leave him things for Christmas, too. -Leslie

    Different smells/colors, same perfume

Oh GoodGoodGood! I misread. See how attached I get to a scent when I like it? A loooooooong time ago I fell in love with "Versus" by Versace. I wore it for a few years, and then, it was discontinued. It took me years to find another perfume/scent that worked THAT well on me - and it ended up being Angel. If that goes, I'll be very upset. Of all your creations I've tried, Hellcat, Old Morocco, Persephone and Gluttony have worked best for me. Thank you so much for clearing that up, Beth! Can't WAIT till the new scents hit the site. I read through them, and drooled. *Faerie Hugs and Kisses* Leslie

We have also reformulated Hellfire: A scent celebrating Sir Francis Dashwood's Order of the Knights of St. Francis of Wycombe, also known as the Hellfire Club. A swirl of pipe tobacco, hot leather, ambergris, dark musk and the lingering incense smoke from their Black Mass. Oh no! This is my favorite scent. It doesn't sound like it's going to smell anything like the original anymore now. Will there be one like Hellcat as it was? -Leslie

    Hellcat

Not applied: Warm. Downright scrumptious. I can really smell the honey mead, probably because I am very familiar with that scent. Heavy, but not in an overwhelming way. Reminds me very much of the smell of a little local witchy shop I frequent - which is a good thing for me. On skin: Shortly after applying the scent, my chemistry decided to bring out the honey mead element more than any of the others. An hour later, it wore down and the buttercream was more dominant. A few hours later, pretty much the same, except lighter. Delightful. Very comforting for me. This is in my top 3 right now. I see a 10ml bottle coming in my future. -MissA

    layering with Angel?

Ok I played with Angel and a little bit of single note Vanilla today earlier... it was really nice! Then tonight I tpuched up with some Old Morocco, and that worked well for me, too. -Leslie

    Shipping Update

Yup. It is! It's HUGE! But I turned 30 in March... I deserve it, dammit!!!! And honestly after the year I had, I think my friends are right, I deserve a little pampering. Time to give in a little bit. Then again I WISH it was all for me. But, it's not. At least I get my bottle of Dragon's Milk though -Leslie

    Shipping Update

Well I just hope they're ready for me. I'm putting in a BIG order today, as soon as I get back from the ATM (to drain out PayPakl), and the bank. 13 items - no imps. This is the biggest order I've ever put in. Some of the oils are going to be gifts for some upcoming rituals and holidays. So I am VERY excited. Spring is here. New beginnings. Flowers are blooming. Hope is in the AIR. And... a very old, dear friend and I spoke tonight, and when I told him how things have been over here with funerals, financial problems, weirdness, and everything else, he transfered some money over to my PayPal and said... "Would you please get yourself something? You turned 30, consider this a gift!" OK! Twist my arm. Please! And I am also ordering for 2 other people. But... I just hope I don't scare them with that kind of order. I'm not kidding around, either. I wanted to smell a couple of things before I made hard core commitments, and now that I did... LOOK OUT!!!!!!! *In Heaven* -Leslie

    Lucy's Kiss

Initial Impression: Dark. Foreboding, and yet... this light air of innocence. The spices were really an interesting addition. After Wearing It: The rose lingered longer than any of the other 'spices'. Which I was sad to "smell" happen. Seems I own way too many rose hinted scents these days, and so the imp ear I ordered recently is going to be a gift for a friend. Final Thoughts: A few years ago, I dressed up as Lucy for Halloween. I recreated her "wedding gown" from the movie remake, and so I was VERY excited about this scent. But when it ended up wearing down to mostly just rose, I was kind of disappointed. I put it on the shelf with all the other 'rose' scented perfumes. It's not a total loss because honestly, of all the rose oils I own, I do like this one the best.

What do bottles and labels look like?

I have a request: Can someone send me pictures of what each size bottle looks like? I'm really bad with measuring and metrics, and wanted to see some examples. -Leslie

    layering with Angel?

Actually... I wear Angel CONSTANTLY. I go through bottles of this stuff like water. So far: Thierry Mugler introduced Angel in 1993. It's fragrant nature explores essences of honey, chocolate and caramel. Blended with notes of vanilla, patchouli and sandalwood. Angel is recommended for romantic use. I wear it with sandlewood notes, sometimes more vanilla, and I think it goes nice with Gluttony in small amounts. But that's just me. I LOVE sweet scents. Angel is not like anything I've ever encountered... I've been wearing it since 1993. I own the body lotion, the shower gel... everything. It's heavenly. People have followed me around asking me what perfume I'm wearing so many times I've lost count. -Leslie

    Absinthe

Indeed!!! This was the FIRST BPAL scent I was determined to own. Having had experiences with Absinthe (Thanks to Ebony!) I was really curious what an Absinthe scented oil blend would be like, considering Absinthe does not smell all that appealing. I was VERY pleasantly surprised, to say the least. For me, this is exactly what wearable Absinthe would smell like. On my skin, it puts off a very sweet, fresh scent. It doesn't smell 'soapy' at all to me, but it does smell very clean. My chemistry really seems to bring out the hyssop and anise more than anything else. And I find the scent of the anise to be very romantic, and alluring. When I wore this out to a little local bar, I had a lady next to me ask me what perfume I was wearing. When I told her, she said, "There's one I would have never guessed. It smells EXACTLY like my Mother's indoor herb and flower garden smelled like. It brings back some really treasured memories." After she said that, I realized she was right. It did smell much like a little herb garden. It made me think of the movie "Practical Magic" in fact. I think it's fantastic, though I know it's defiantly not for everyone. -Leslie

    Persephone

Persephone is so far, my favorite scent. I can really smell the Pomegranate in it, and when I wear it, my chemistry seems to really bring it out more then the rose in the blend. Most people who have smelled it on me have told me I smell "juicy" (as others here have said). A few have asked me if the oil had grape accents in it. I have added Persephone to my bath, and noticed it really stays with me for a long time if I do not wear any other scented products. When I smell it straight from the bottle, it reminds me night rituals and warm, humid summer nights. I adore it. For me, it is a heavy scent... but as it wears down, it's perfect. -Leslie

    Shipping Update

I feel kinda bad. I'm afraid to put any more orders in because of how backed up things are I own my own online business and I know all about how frustrating it can get when you're backed up like crazy. I put an order in on April 5th. My confirmation says it was shipped on April 29th, but nothing has arrived yet. Order # 61-2779 I had more oils I wanted to order... is there a better time I should wait till to order? I don't want to add to the chaos. ~Leslie
