# 66 In the bottle it smells oily and sharpish ferns. Once it hit my skin, i thought it smelled like something from the Steamworks line. As the oiliness receded, something ambery or ambergis-like came out with a powdery vibe. Upon further development, sweetenss emerges and the oiliness mingles with the amber/ambergis and reminds me very much of a men's cologne best suited for night wear. I think i pick up an oud note or maybe it could be the amber doing its naughty thing. I don't feel in any way cheated or deceived, i just can't exactly discern the notes. Now that some more time has passed, it leans more towards a middle eastern/ oriental blend. I'm pretty sure some sort of amber was added in the Chaos blend, maybe oud and resins (benzoin or opponax). The drydown has a dense/oily texture and the throw is average. 3rd day of testing: This blend falls into the Animalic Fougere category for sure. There are definitely animalic notes in there (ambergis or musks or balsams). The end-result is balmy and dense.

This smells like post-coitus, namely the skin musk is very suggestive. It's just too darn realistic and 3-dimmensional to my nose. Very arousing!

It's a bright balsamic scent. The basil stands out the most on my skin, but then it fades and i get a smooth warm base with sage peeking out.

Wet: hello dragon's blood! you are incredibly powerful . the wet stage reminds me of Dragon's Blood only less fizzy and intense. Drying: the amber mellows the DB and a blanket of sweetness set in. I'm liking what i smell, I think i'm smiling and i think i will need a bottle of it!

It reminds of old school french cologne from the mid 60s or 70s, which today are no longer produced. I swear the combination of notes give it a more of an animalic feel/ vibe, but judging from the notes, no civet is to be found in here. The drydown is basically white tea and whispers of champaca. The scent took me back in time and awoke memories long forgotten.

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

You could try Shanghai (little staying power though) or Embalming Fluid -
This is a very dilluted and watered down version of Haunted. It's void of the black musk and smells thin. Imho, it has little in common with the GC Haunted.

Smells like fresh crushed grass/ lawn-mown grass. Way too realistic!

Lemon, sharp salty sea weeds and mint. The salty sea weed note is very sharp and even unbearable. It dies down and the mint freshness starts to emerge; but there's still the sharp salty weed that puts me off. I will wait to test this during summer time.

2008 version: The whiskey note tingles my nose and i can discern the barley/beer combo rendering the blend sweetness.Alas, the blood note shows up and turns everything into powder with an antisceptic vibe and after 10 minutes it all disapears from my skin.

What i get is smokiness backed by incense and copal, but it all ties in a very subtle way and some faint sweetnes lurking in the background. Smells like cocoa paste brewing on the stove with bits of smoked peppers thrown in.

This blend is so delicate and refined. It reminds me very much of Tattered Lace only it's sweeter and more full bodied. I can detect the iris tying together all the notes, while the citrus, tea and chocolate giving it a gourmand dimmension.

Freshly applied: it reminds me very much of an old-school cologne, very soapy and lemony-cyphre with a powdery vibe. Drying: the lemon verbena makes its presence known, but the powder vibe is still there.

I never sniffed BB or Feed Me and Fill Me w/Pleasure, but what this reminds me is of a less thick and more thinner version of Third Charm minus the red musk. It doesn't project very much, but maybe it's what makes it all around much more wearable and comforting.

Upon application i get dried leaves and stems and something berry-like peeking out. It goes into cologne territory with a leafy twist.

I know this smell. I've smelt it before!!!! It's Edward Hyde from the DarkDel line, only that the latter has more oomph! White rider is cleaner and gentler, but still maintains the cologne vibe. If you ran out of Edward Hyde, get White Rider as an alternative.

Love is not something i thought i would enjoy, judging by the notes, but once applied it reminds me so much of rose petals jam that i used to devour as a kid. But there's only once small downfall, the scent goes a tiny bit plastic on my skin but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it. i'd classify this blend as a floral gourmand. I initially wanted to track down a bottle, but i'm sure my decant will suffice

What a morpher!!! It started off as a herbal citrus blend then went to a bitter grapefruit/ thyme combo and ended up as light mandarin/ thyme.

In the imp i can smell pulpy orange juice. Once it hits my skin, the orange disappears and the hay note emerges trumping everything else. In the end my wrist smells like a stable hay. Very unexpected !!!
-
It's perfumey, i'll say that! Although there's no amber listed in the notes, i swear i can smell it. It's a spicy-ambery-smoked orange scent.

the pumpkin isn't buttery or sweet at all; it's got a dry feel to it, maybe because of the spices. mellow dried pumpkin with a hint of spice.
-
I have worn this blend several times and from my experience it works best during summertime, because during fall/ winter it just disappears on my skin instantly. To my nose it's a lightly spiced pumpkin with creamy vanilla. I'm still not sure whether i'm going to keep my bottle.
