  1. The only thing I like about the arrival of summer each year is the honeysuckle. We have tons of it growing wild around my house, so every time I open the door, the smell hits me in the face and makes me happy. When this SN went live, I said, "HELL YES," and bought it immediately.

This smells like opening the front door in early summer. It perfectly captures the scent of honeysuckle vines growing wild, draped over trees and bushes and climbing everywhere they can reach.

It's medium throw on my skin -- I can smell it wafting up from my wrists as I type, but it's not overwhelming my office. The scent has lasted for several hours so far without disappearing. I abso-freakin'-lutely love it.

  2. Oh, I am so glad to have bought this. When I first tried this, it was still warm from the mailbox, and it was horrible -- soapy, overpowering floral. I gave it another try the next day after a night in cooler temperatures. Now it is GORGEOUS. It really is the perfect spicy floral. I just wish it lasted longer on my skin.

  3. This smells so delicious! I wish the pumpkin latte I got from my local coffee shop tasted as good as this smells. It's creamy coffee with sweet and gently spiced pumpkin. This one has very good lasting power but isn't so strong that it overpowers everything else. Definitely a keeper!

  4. King mandarin, red ginger, sugar cane, golden amber, mango, and pumpkin.

When I saw the description for this, I WANTED IT SO BAD. I loved the pumpkin and red ginger in Pumpkin Queen, and I love all the other notes in this one, so I thought for sure I'd love Monarch! Instead, my body chemistry turned just plain EVIL.

In the bottle, I smelled a gentle pumpkin with a touch of sweet citrus. So nice! Then I put it on. Half an hour later, I keep checking my son for a dirty diaper because something in the room smells that bad. Suddenly I realize that it's me. :ack: :cry2: I had to wash it off and have been too upset to try it again. Definitely not a keeper for me.

  5. AMARETTO! I'd forgotten what the notes were for pretty much everything I ordered, so. Yeah. Amaretto. That's the note that hits me most that my out-of-practice nose couldn't put a name to. Straight out of the bottle, this is almost all amaretto with just a touch of cherry to sweeten and saffron to give it a creamy golden edge to it. All together it almost reminds me of caramel. It calms down on my skin, softens and smooths out, so that I'm left with a delightfully yummy scent wafting up from my wrists.

  6. Has anyone experienced address issues with PayPal?

I've been using PayPal for a while now, but only through online merchants with a store set up, like Etsy or ebay. Sending money through PayPal, the way we do it for BPAL (gaah, they rhyme) is relatively new to me.

The first order I made, PayPal snipped off the end of my street address. Thankfully, it wasn't a problem, but this time my CnS showed a weird string of characters (numbers and letters) after my name. I don't think the post office people would seriously think someone has 7-7ZN123456 as part of their surname when we're still in 2010, with more humans than robots, and disappointingly, no flying cars, so it shouldn't be a problem, but still, this is a bit weird, and I'm curious. What if next time, PayPal snipped off half my street address?

I can't think of any address issues, but I did look up some old CnS emails to verify something. That weird-looking string of characters was on all my CnS notices. It differed each time, never the same string, but I just figured it was something the Lab assigned to each order. That's not Paypal's doing. Also, when you say Paypal snipped off the end of your street address, can you say more what you mean by that -- without giving away your actual address, obviously? Whenever I create a CnS in Paypal, the street address automatically gets abbreviated -- Street to St, Avenue to Ave, etc. Was it something like that? If so, as far as I know, they're just abbreviating to match USPS's style of address (if you were to enter a street address on the USPS website, they'd abbreviate the same way).

  7. okay i'm really confused.

i know that cns has a thing that changes when your order has been harvested.

and i know that something bizarre happens to your credit card- like it doesn't get get charged until you pull your order.

so if my order says awaiting shipment and my card gets charged, does that mean that my order's been harvested. or am i just get myself more confused than necessary? my last order never said anything beyond awaiting shipment if that helps.

CCNow's order status changes to "Shipped" when your order is harvested. If you just placed the order very recently, from what I understand, CCNow places a temporary hold on your credit card for the purchase amount. It disappears after a few days, but the charge reappears for good once the Lab harvests the orders.

lunarmoths, I'm confused, too. Where did you read the 1400 days thing? You can get a good idea of how long orders are taking to ship by watching the Click 'n Ship thread. Right now it looks like orders from around January 20th are shipping out.

  8. This is a very common misunderstanding that gets brought up all the time. CCNow's order status of "shipped" just means the Lab harvested your order to work on it. The CnS is probably for your first order, and you'll get another one soon for your order from the 18th.

  9. If we want to make a paypal order, are we still going through the Checkout process through CCNow?

Which I'm dumb, nevermind, I see that it redirects you to the paypal page.

It will work that way, but the Lab states on their website that they prefer people not to use Paypal through CCNow. When you do that, they get hit with processing fees from both CCNow and Paypal, instead of just one or the other. We wind up paying the same amount either way, but they receive more of our money if we just go straight to Paypal to make the purchase.

  10. Your order should have gone through with no problems and will hit your bank account when the Lab harvests the order. They ask customers not to use Paypal through CCNow because then the Lab gets hits with processing fees from both sources instead of just one. Don't panic about not getting your order -- just try to remember to stick with either CCNow or Paypal in the future, not both.

  11. The Click-n-Ship emails are a message from the USPS saying the package is being shipped. Sometimes they get lost in a spam or junk mail folder, so I'd suggest putting the email address they come from (USPS_Shipping_Services@usps.com) on a filter or safe list to make sure they stay in your inbox. From what I understand, even internationals are supposed to get CnS's these days.

Based on what I'm seeing in the Click-n-Ship thread over in BPAL Chatter, I wouldn't worry too much about your October 30 order just yet. While most of the notices are for orders in early November, someone in the US just yesterday posted a shipping notice for an order placed the same day as yours. The internationals tend to ship out in batches, and there are several international shipping notices in that thread right now. Hopefully you'll get yours any time now. :P

  12. topaz, with the Click-n-Ship notices, that's pretty much all up to USPS as to when/if you get the email. Sometimes their servers get backed up or something and take days to send out notices for packages that have already been shipped. The Lab has no control over it. Sometimes the messages get lost in spam or junk mail folders, though, so I've got the email address the notices come from on my safe list (USPS_Shipping_Services@usps.com) to make sure they always wind up in my inbox.

  13. maromi, I'd think it's just more hassle for them to have to deal with a canceled order and then the reorder. They get hit with fees whether you use Paypal or CCNow; they just get the fees from both sites if you use both. (Of course, I'm not a Labbie, so if they've said different by now, just ignore me!) Just try to remember not to use Paypal through CCNow next time, and it'll be okay. :P

(FYI -- that info is not just in this thread but also on the Lab's website. Lots of people miss it, though.)
