When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

I have likewise fallen under Hamadryad's spell! I love the woody-spicy smell of it. I got Hesperides in the same batch and I'm going to try layering them, since Hesperides was just a little too fruity by itself. I've had good luck with Loup Garou, and Cathode (which on me has a juniper-green sort of smell) but I don't know how you feel about evergreen scents

    Sister likes Vera Wang

I'd like to get my mom and sister Christmas gifts of BPAL. I know that my sister likes Vera Wang, I looked up the notes in it, and it's: "Bulgarian rose, calla lily, mandarin flower, gardenia, lotus, iris, musks, woods, floral notes." I'm really not familiar with it, so I'm looking for something that's like Vera Wang, but better and will bring her into the fold. Personally I think she might also like lilac or violets, as she's absolutely nuts about purple. For mom I am looking for something that's vanilla-based (per her suggestion), but I think she might also like milk and/or honey. I have to avoid too much floral because they bug her allergies. Thanks for your ideas!

    Juliet

I think I've found my first love! In the bottle: Very light and sweet, almost cloyingly so. I can detect mostly honeysuckle and a little pear now and then. Wet: This disappeared almost immediately on me, but thankfully it re-asserted itself a little while later. It's light, feminine and warm, there's almost a honey scent to it -- I know there's no honey in the ingredients, but I'm getting a warmer note to it now. Later: Mmm, a nice feminine light musk. I love this! It says "female" without being super-girly or flowery. Mostly sweet but just a little sexy, and I can totally see myself wearing this regularly.
