  1. Mmmm...White Rabbit. Smells like a clean, soft, just-fed, happy sleeping baby.

    Brisingamen

In the vial: Rather sharper/heavier floral than I usually like. Eh. Wet on skin: There's the amber! Hurrah amber! Still a little sharp, but I put this on before breakfast this morning, and I really should know better than to try on smelly things on an empty stomach (oog). Drydown: OMFG. This is gorgeous. It's like walking about the house and work surrounded by a warm golden cloud. I put on a little right above my breastbone, and I am constantly getting whiffs of pure, sweet, rich, golden, humid, slightly appley amber. It's one of those scents that immediately lifts my mood whenever I smell it. I wore it to work, and nothing bothered me all day. It went strong for at least 6 hours, and even after more than 10, my wrists still smelled warm and slightly spicy. Verdict: Definitely getting a 10ml of this one. Or two.

    Nemesis

Nemesis was one of the first BPAL scents I tried, and when I opened the imp, it just screamed "Grandma's nail polish remover!" at me. I wasn't even going to try it on, but since I had only four imps to play with (woe!), I gave it a chance, and I'm so glad I did! Wet on skin: GINGER CYPRESS GINGER CYPRESS rose. I nearly had a sneezing fit and was about to wash it off when I started to detect the fig coming out. Drydown: Happy fig! The ginger and cypress calmed down and played nice with the fig, tonka, and patchouli. Every time I sniffed my wrist it smelled different--alternating between sugary fig/tonka/ginger and spicy fig/cypress/patchouli. The rose went away, which is just fine with me. I put a little more on and spent all day at work in a cloud of Nemesis--it lasted at least eight hours and went very subtle and spicy/tonka on me after a while. I never would have thought I'd want a big bottle of this one, but oh man, I need one!
