    Wanda

I didn't "love" Wanda when I first tried the frimp the lab sent me with my last order- I kind of liked it, but it was too sweet. Then, I put it on before going to bed this past Sat, and it was such a sexy scent, a true love potion! The Merlot/wine note that BPAL has is something I am either really in the mood for, like in Blood Rose, or I'm just not. I definitely get a little of the raunch of the sexual musk, uh-huh. Also, the tobacco note combined with the myrrh smells a bit like cannabis when it dries down...that plus the sexual musk and the merlot makes a very interesting bedfellow indeed. I don't think I'd wear Wanda to work, but it's very nice for the right environment. Hubby luvvvved it. Going on my "big bottle" list.

    Bloodlust

I got this as an imp from the lab and so far, I haven't been able to stop smelling it. I put some on last night, and had to wear it again today, and tonight. Wet, I smell cinnamon and the vetiver is pronounced. After drying some, all elements are there- the cinnamon, patchouli, vetiver and red musk. But after it dries down some- watch out- a fresh, empowering, clean, energetic sexiness on me. I never expected to like this, because usually vetiver is a big "NO" on me. But in certain blends (usually with patchouli) it does well. I love this! I had to go and get some from the Black Broom. It's awesome. Very incredible!!! It's very long lasting but the longest lasting elements, in the end, are the red musk, and the vetiver, which leaves a lemony-grassy smell on my skin. I can't imagine an occasion where this wouldn't be right.

    Arcana

I received this in a swap done at another board. I haven't been able to figure it out for some time. I think the rosemary was throwing me. I agree with the previous comments that this is a very well blended scent. I don't get any lemon scent at all- I smell the verbena, lavender, rosemary and frankincense. I think it's the frankincense that pulls the herbal notes together and keeps it from being too strong of an herbal scent. The verbena makes it ever so slightly floral but that is a good thing, because without it, the rosemary and the lavender and frankincense might be too masculine. It is kind of like a "spa" scent- relaxing and energizing at the same time. It's a very clear-headed scent. I am drawn to this scent more when I am very busy or in hot weather, or just want to decompress. Very unusual- can't say I've ever smelled anything like it. Of course, that goes for a lot of BPAL scents!
