    Wolfsbane

On me this was very woody, creamy and spicy. Somehow reminiscent of rice pudding. I really like it. And I like knowing that I'll be safe from Werewolves!! But after 2 hours it's completely disappeared. I can't smell it at all!!! Oh NO! The werewolves are going to get me!!

    Thanatopsis

At first I thought I didn't like this. The pine is very strong, and it's not that I don't like pine. I just wasn't sure. But after it's been on for a while, I've really come to like it. It definitely is sophisticated and mature. And it somehow seems wholesome. Outdoorsy. If I ever want people to think I'm a nature girl, this would be the scent to wear

    Akuma

At first Akuma was very sweet and dark, just like everyone has said. Several hours later and it's still sweet, but no longer dark. It's not unpleasant, but I don't think this one's for me. If you like very sweet and fruity, but also dark, this is for you!

    Love Me

I got this one in a swap with merveilluse. Thanks, Merveilluse! (sorry if I spelled your name wrong.) Wow. This is completely different for me. For me this is JASMINE. That's in all caps, because it smells like it is in all caps. The first time I tried it I did my usual slather routine. And the Jasmine was overwhelming. I did eventually get the fizziness and cocacola-ness that others have described, but it was deeply hidden by the jasmine. Heh. Maybe there isn't even any jasmine in it, and my nose is just completely crazy. But it sure smells like jasmine to me. I'm normally a slatherer, but Love Me is a one drop in the cleavage thing for me. And with one drop in the cleavage, it is truly powerful. As with all of the voodoo blends, I am in awe.

    Job Interview Recommendations

Well, the only ones I've tried from your list are Tushnamatay, Pele and Tarot: the World. I'd go with Tarot: the World. Though, Pele might fit better with trends and gossip. Heh. that isn't much help is it? Wear whichever one makes you feel the most confident.

    Van Van

I had a really rough day. Negative energy up the wazoo! I took a bath and poured in about half an imp's worth of VanVan and it really helped! It smelled delightful, but it really helped clean out the negative energy. I may need a big bottle of this.

    The World

As everyone has said, at first this is quite cinnamony. But as it dries down it becomes so much more complex. On me it's cinnamon, sandalwood, everything else. It's light a floral and fruity. And good. Yeah, I know that's a prosaic review. But really, this scent is too complex for me to describe, and good really fits the bill. The World is good.

    Red Moon 2004

Red Moon.... I am so ambivalent about Red Moon. On first smell, it's medicinal, effervescent and nostalgic, and really strong. Then in a short time it becomes very nice and sweetly floral, but a little bit of that nostalgic medicinal smell comes through. (well, I guess the scent isn't nostalgic, but it makes me nostalgic.. for what I do not know.) Soon it smooths out and is lovely and soft. And then I want to put it on again. It's really addictive. And it gives me a terrible headache. I had to try it 3 times to be sure. But, yup. It gives me a headache. So I am going to have to swap it. It makes me so sad. * Off to look at the swaps page to see who is looking for a red moon and what they've got to offer.

    French Creole

I really like this one too. and I feel like it works. It definitely is full of cloves. Cloves Cloves CLOVES. It is drawing powerful and influential peole into my life. OR else that's just a coincidence, but it doesn't feel like it. And right before I put it on I think of what I'm wishing for and in some way that wish comes true. Not always in the way that I actually wished, but it is technically true to my wish. I may need a full bottle of this.

    Recs for Longest Lasting Oils

I found Greed to be the very most long-lasting. Man it lasts and lasts and lasts. It's like the energizer bunny.

    Wilde

This scent would be great for a guy who has to wear a suit to work. It is so upscale. This scent is masculine and yet bright and sunny. I wish I knew a guy who would be the kind of guy to wear this. It's really beautiful.

    Lust

At first I was afraid I wouldn't like this at all. In the vial it was too sweet and tangy for my taste. When first applied it was still too sweet and tangy and not so good. But then within the first 5 minutes, it really mellowed and softened and now I love it. fruity and sweet and creamy and warm. Not the greatest staying power, but not the worst either. About 3 hours. I can still smell it after 3 hours, but it's quite faint. ADDED Dec. 27: For me, Lust was way too strong. I only put on a tiny bit and it was overwhelmingly strong. That is appropriate for LUST. Lust (the emotion or whatever the heck) is overwhelmingly strong. But, it's too much for a perfume for me. I actually had to wash it off after about 10 minutes. I can't even describe what it smelled like, except to say "strong".

    Judgement

This isn't what I expected at all. Starts out very juicy and turns into incensey. It smells like a head-shop. There's definitely nothing wrong with that. Or, as Vaniclion said, like an occult shop. And I can see ( or smell) what he means by "this smells like potential". But I can't explain it. Quite an interesting one.
  15. I've found Incantation to be light and citrusy sweet. Also, Dana O'Shee is quite light. And Alice, too. Good luck.

    Incantation

Wow! This one definitely captures wispy, in that wisps of scent keep wafting up to greet me and enliven me. If I smell my wrists, I can barely smell it. It's definitely a wafter and not a clinger. And it is absolutely beautiful. I can't identify the individual notes in it. They've combined beautifully on me. Score one for body chemistry this time. Heartbeast said she finds it "comforting, empowering and relaxing". Yes, indeed. It's true. And, it's one of the few that makes my boyfriend go, "Oooh. You smell so good." He's usually very reticent about giving out olfactory compliments.

    The Lovers

On me this one starts out with a blast of cinnamon, and then dries down to a more complex and comforting blend. Which I guess is apropos of the phases of a lasting love. It's really nice.

    Gemini

Oh woweewowwowwowwowwow! This is soo nice. At first it is very minty, but not toothpaste minty. It smells like my chocolate mint plant. And it actually made my skin cold. But then it becomes much more soft floral. It reminds me very much of Queen Mab. A minty version of Queen Mab. Being a Gemini, I knew I would love this. But I didn't know how much. Highly Recommended! ** edit: I just checked Queen Mab and none of the ingredients are the same. But I stick by it. Definitely has a similar scent. And I definitely love it. *** editing again just to say that I still have my bottle of Gemini. There's a bit left. It's become more of a lavendar/lemon blend. Mostly lemon. I still like it,but not nearly so much as before. But this is a long time for a citrus blend to age. ... Maybe this year's Gemini offering will be something I crave.

    Shanghai

Such a nice, relaxing tea sent. It reminds me of Lady Grey tea. I don't know how many people have tried that, it's a lighter version of Earl Grey.

    Allegory

This is a very interesting one. Very complex. The horrible problem that I have with civet only lasted for about 20 minutes, and didn't even compel me to wash it off! AS it's dried down it's quite lovely and nice.

    Bacchanalia

This is the first thing I've ever tried with civet. And it (hopefully) will be the last. In the bottle this was fine, like everyone described. It hit my skin and turned absolutely horrid! Like a wet animal. Maybe the best descriptio for what civet smells like on my skin is: like a rat burrowing through wet newspapers in a dirty alley frequented by winos. Oh well. Now I know. Body chemistry really is an interesting thing.

    Zombi

Ohhh. I am so obsessed with Zombi now. I am reluctant to try the other scents because I just want to keep sniffing Zombi. At first sniff o'the imp, I got roses and dirt. It is the perfect perfume for a funeral. Which seems like a strange thing to say, but is true. When I put the perfume on, the Oakmoss came out. REALLY came out at first. I was Oakmoss and rose, and I was briefly disappointed because I couldn't smell the soil. But, luckily that earthy dirty smell made itself known shortly. Maybe it had just been there in the background all along, waiting for me to realize that it was there to support the whole thing. This is so beautiful and lush and dark and just what I needed.

    Greed

Wow. This is very different to me, than to any of the other reviews. To me it smells almost exactly like cinnamon. At first it's the copal. (Or I'm guessing the copal is what stands out the most strongly. I used to have some incense that smelled just like this, and I think it was mainly copal.) But then it's cinnamon. I can see what is meant by "glittering". Greed is very rich and quite masculine. Oh dear. A man who smelled like this would be divine. **eta: It has been 11 hours and this is still going strong. WOW.

    Delight

At first, to me it was all Tuberose. Then the Tuberose mixed with Jasmine. And it stayed that way for a good long while. Then it faded to just a nice light floral. It's a really nice floral. Lasted about 4 hours. It definitely seems like a special occasion perfume to me.

    Roadhouse

Wow! At first this was DANELION! Then, in about 15 minutes or so it changed to dandelion and beer. Then it changed to all beer. A weak beer, like Bud Light or something. I smelled as if I had spilled beer all over my wrist. It was pleasantly nostalgic, but because of how effectively it captured the smell of beer also slightly nauseating. I felt like I had just stumbled drunkenly into the night air after a big bingey evening. Now it's calmed down. It's approximately 2 hours later, and it's just a really light perfumey smell. Much better than after an evening at the local roadhouse. This really is an amazing thing to try.
