  1. Missus

    Scarecrow

I originally ordered an imp of this for my husband. At first sniff, it was just like, "WOW. GREEN." but not necessarily in a good way. It was overpoweringly green and a very masculine scent. We tried it on him, but it didn't work with his chemistry. I dabbed a little on me, but soon washed it off because it was just so green. So...it stayed in my perfume box collecting dust for about half a year. Now and then, I'd look at it, take it out and sniff it, but I'd just put it right back. I was totally underestimating this perfume. Reading through various reviews, I found it interesting how many people will initially dislike a scent and come back to it later, loving it. I was curious...so I decided to try scarecrow again. Not to give up and wash it off, but leave it on for a while. I was very surprised to see how the scent changes. For all its overpowering green manliness in the bottle and even while wet, when dry, scarecrow loves me. It becomes sweet. Sweet hay. It's beautiful and with my chemistry, it's become something completely feminine. I can't stop sniffing my wrists. It's not harsh at all. It's soft and sweet and alluring. I can't believe how Scarecrow changed! Because of it's soft nature, it does fade...but my husband assures me he can still smell it when I can't and I don't mind reapplying it after a while. 3+ out of 5

    Casanova

Another one ordered for my husband. When he wears it, he smells clean - like he's fresh out of the shower and even a little soapy. The florals are evident, but masculine enough. (I tried it myself, but something about my chemistry made the floral notes much less apparent. It became extra masculine.) I don't favor it in the bottle, but on my husband, this is a 4. It smells very pleasant on him, and it's a good scent for a hot afternoon.

I am so, so, SO GLAD I got this for my husband!!! Oh my God...it's a very sexy scent and whenever he wears it, I'm quite literally attached to him. Unfortunately, whenever I try to think of how best to describe it, my brains go out the window. (I also dabbed a little on myself once out of curiosity, but it becomes something too masculine for me. This is his scent, and it works magnificently on him.) 5 stars.
  4. Missus

    Aureus

True, perfect golden light, refined into an incomparably glorious scent. The first time I opened my bottle of Aureus, a clear image flashed across my mind's eye... A large, ancient tome lay open upon a stone podium with many more leather bound tomes lining the wooden shelves - all cast in the golden light flooding in through high arched windows, illuminating the patterns of dust swirling languidly throughout the room. That is exactly what Aureus smells like to me. It is a dusty, warm, spicy scent right out of the bottle. It's so strong that I only need one drop shared between my palms and neck and I know it will last all day. It sweetens ever so slightly when dry, but it keeps its strong, warm spicy scent. It is one of my favorites and I often wear it when I feel weak or like the energy around me is stagnant. Aureus makes me feel powerful and mysterious...and even like I have a bit of mischief in my blood.

Imp: I smell something deep and almost spicy first off, then the florals take over. Carnation seems strong - I'm not too fond of carnation. Wet: The carnation is predominant at first, but very soon it takes a back seat to...I don't know what exactly, but it's pleasant. Dry: The carnation disappears on my skin. It blends in behind the other scents until all I smell is a blend of something pleasant, warm and spicy. Now, finally I smell a little tangerine. A bit later: The scent has become very soft. I thought it had disappeared, but every now and then I still get a whiff of it. It's playing hide-and-seek with me. Overall, the final result is very pleasing. I won't order a 5ml when it's done, but I'll happily use the imp.
  6. Missus

    La Petite Mort

In Bottle: A very sweet, exotic scent. My nose seems to think it would be a great idea if I could fall into this bottle. Wet: As soon as it is on skin, the scent deepens. There's a powdery element, but it's overshadowed by myrrh. A sweet myrrh. It's dreamy but also grounded. Dry: The myrrh and ylang ylang marry beautifully. It's not an overwhelming scent, but it definitely lets you know that it's there and somehow it still manages to be light and sweet. The longer I wear it, though, the more powdery it becomes. Overall: It's innocent and lovely and I keep sniffing my wrists. A good scent for when I'm feeling especially girly. It fades eventually, so this is one I'll have to re-apply once or twice more during the day.
