  1. This is much more foody than I expected, warm and comforting. I don't really love the smell of pumpkin but I actually quite like this, as it is more of just a buttery, baked-goods type scent on me. Subtle and close to the skin.

  2. Maybe I don't actually know that much about the different musks, cause this doesn't smell exactly how I expected it to. The honey and cardamom were what I was truly after, and I don't get that much of either of them here, unfortunately. This does remind me of a lighter version of Smut like other reviewers have mentioned -- I did a side-by-side comparison of both these hair glosses spritzed on my wrists and while they are quite similar, I prefer the darker, sultrier Smut.

Still, I love the BPTP hair glosses so I'm sure I'll end up wearing this one.... and if not, it can always go to swaps!

  3. Dark, resinous, and bitter. I expected this to be a bit spicy and sweet, but it's not really either. Unfortunately I'm not getting any of the vanilla, which is a shame.

Okay, twenty minutes or so later I'm starting to get a bit of vanilla and liking this a bit better. Still pretty indifferent towards it.

  4. i don't get any apricot in this, unfortunately. This is quite a light musk, and on the whole this perfume smells mostly like dry, light wood to me -- quite nice. I was a bit nervous about the vetiver in here, but it's actually not ruining this for me for once.

  5. Wet, the first notes to hit are definitely citrusy mandarin and sharp amber. I was a bit worried, because amber is not a note that usually works well for me, but luckily that seems to fade pretty fast and it turns into a citrusy baked good smell. I was really hoping for a good bread scent, which I don't think I've encountered yet in the BPAL catalogue, but this one is definitely more cake-like than bread-like.

This is an interesting one in that I don't really like the way it smells in the imp at all, but I love it on my skin after 10 or so minutes.

  6. This is definitely a strange mix. Strong coconut, the suntan lotion variety. Bright, juicy pear -- just like pear Jelly Belly jelly beans, actually. Just a hint of soft, sweet leather in the background. I actually like this one a lot more than I thought I would.

  7. This sounded so interesting that I had to try it.

Sweet and savory at the same time. It's kind of like oatmeal cookies, kind of carrot cakey -- neither of which are foods I actually like eating, but the smell is kind of good. However this becomes almost herbal during the drydown and gets far less baked goods-like, unfortunately. I wish it just stayed in the wet phase.

I've also noticed a faint tingling on the skin of my inner elbow where I applied this, so I'm obviously somewhat sensitive to one of the ingredients. No rash like I've encountered with a few of the more spicy BPAL oils, so not too bad, but still slightly uncomfortable.
