    The Ghost

This is no Casper the friendly ghost, this stuff is quite fierce in my perception. I believe what I'm getting the most of in this brew is gladiolas, and tomb crawling ivy (which by the way is truly reminiscent of ivy leaves, and dew covered moss with slate grey stone). In the first hour of the scent I did pick up on the osmanthus, it's very herbal in this, green, and slighty stemy. The Ghost is a strange scent for me; I must say if ghosts had a scented aura this COLD elixir captures it perfectly. I'm not sure if I like this one, but I do find it marvelous if that makes sense at all.

    The Last Unicorn

Frosty lilac petals, iris pallida root, orris, violet leaf, white chocolate, coconut, wild lettuce, white sandalwood, and oakmoss. When I noticed ''The Last Unicorn'' I had to buy a bottle right away. I love the cartoon, it's my favorite my childhood. I was so curious if the white chocolate and cabbage would come through, and WOW it does! In fact I think I smell tree moss in this blend ( perhaps that's the cabbage?) I get plenty of soft almost transparent lilac, pale chocolate and munchy greens! I adore the delicate label, and simply treasure this blend. It honestly took me straight to childhood daze, I'm not sure how but it does... ..I think it's the woodsy and green base of this....It's beautiful, in fact old skool chypre lovers ( like me) will love this I'm sure! I'm also impressed with the longevity and sillage! Absolutely the scented equivalent of the Last Unicorn's essence.....<3 Thanks BPAL!

    New Orleans

Oh New Orleans is so heady! I can smell this before I open the imp. I get a lot of pungent jasmine and beautiful honeysuckle....It's impossible to extract true honeysuckle essence, but I'm digging this take on the scent a lot. It's reminding me of a candle oil I once had of honeysuckle that I loved so much. In my humble perception I don't feel the decay in this at all, yet I can see how others might....... New Orleans does capture a decadent night in NOLA yet...I'm not sure if I will order a full bottle, but it's impressive.

    Thalia

Oh! I like this...In the imp I smell a strong plumeria accord. On my skin I get a linear sweet accord similar to bubblegum, yet it almost sparkles so that must be the champagne.I'm not one of those people who minds reapplying a perfume throughout the day, otherwise this blend wouldn't be for me at all. On my skin Thalia morphs into a faint soapy skin scent..I think this one will be lovely for summer, but it didn't blow my mind.

    Spellbound

I can't decide if Spellbound is love or simply like for me. If spells have aromas then I guess Spellbound is an elixir for passion, desire, commitment, and maybe even obsession. This stuff is potent on my skin! I love the rose in this perfume, and it's what I catch first. The deep and dark red rose in this reminds me very much of how Montale (niche perfume house) that is way too expensive does rose. NICE~! So already I'm in love with Spellbound on the rose aspect alone. However all day and night on my skin, rose battles with a sweet intense musk or maybe myrrh that I'm not at all familiar with. The base on my skin is almost dry, and a lot like powdery incense. So even though I like Spellbound very much, I think I'll keep searching for another potion from BPAL with more rose. At least now I know that if "three roses" is listed the scent will probably blow my mind.

    Snake Oil

By far, our most popular scent! Magnetic, mysterious, and exceedingly sexual in nature. A blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla. I purchased a bottle of Snake Oil un-sniffed purely from reading of it being the very best perfume from BPAL and the creator's favorite. Naturally I was curious, and I'm not quite sure what I expected this scent to smell like, but whatever that was, when the juice arrived it defied all previous expectations. In the bottle and right after initial application of Snake Oil, I smell leather, and it's a brown, oily, sleek and dirty metal and leather aroma ( VERY unusual and just cool). I hate to sound like a cliche here, but this scent is almost Snake-Esq to be frank. ( like the smell of a Snake's skin or their slithering bodies coiled under a hot sun.) I almost recoiled in utter horror and rushed to scrub it off. I'm so glad I gave Snake Oil a moment to shape-shift a bit, it's quite charming if given half a chance! Snake Oil morphs into an strange orange blossom bitter yet decadently sweet vanilla, and with plenty of incense smoke and mirrors in the heart and dry down. I've owned my bottle for a long while now, and honestly it's one of my favorite oriental spicy perfumes, and possibly the sexiest perfume I own. I always receive tons of compliments when I wear it, which isn't very often....I save it for special occasions...

    Mata Hari

I purchased a bottle of Mata Hari un-sniffed and I'm so happy with it~! I knew from reading the listed notes I would dig this scent and Beth didn't disappoint me. Mata Hari is exactly the scented equivalent of the description. In the bottle I smell heavy dried roses first mixing with a dark jasmine, both very strong, pungent, and mysterious. On my skin however vanilla, mahogany, spicy black coffee, and the tonka morph beautifully. I still catch traces of a smoky jasmine with dried roses in the air around me, but this scent is heavy with black cofffee beans and vanillic warmth, it's dark and just absolutely enchanting. I've owned my bottle for almost two years, and it's only become more of a lovely scent with age...
