  1. My first impression of this one is that it's dark, this imp also contains vetiver I dont know what it is about vetiver but it's too earthly for me. The mix creates a dark binding green aura which reminds me of a deserted scandinavian forest. Just dark undergrowth and white rock structures.

Too dark for me and that damn vetiver gets me every time.

    :-//

  2. This is very watery but with a very sharp bittersweet floral note, its very lush and you can almost feel the water gently lapping on the edge of the scent. I'm in two minds over whether I love it or like it though, I'll definitely use the imp though.

  3. Normally I hate earthen scents, but this is something else. The crisp tartness of the apples are the first note my nose can detect. For some odd reason my skin just doesnt pick up the oak bark but focuses more on the apple and a slight ozone smell. This is just wonderful.

    :P

  4. Initially the three mints are the most prominent smell but they settle down quickly to a lovely green herbal aura faintly smelling of mints.

It smells akin to the Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo but less sharp.

Wonderful for a clean, crisp scent.

  5. Initially I can smell a very pure lilly scent straight away, very floral with a soft bite to it.

As it dries down a little, the honey comes through very gently and it's a sexy bronzed honey dripping over the lillies.

This is gorgeous, exquisite and for a honey lover, has to be tried. Can't wait for a big bottle to get here now :P

  6. Wanda is so familar to me from somewhere but I dont know where. I love this one anyway, it just cant be categorised simply as a floral fragrance/a musk fragrance. This is a wonderful ensemble of many elements. I cant smell the leather, but the fruit/flowers/wine/musk notes are all present :P

    Great stuff!

  7. I loved Fae and decided to try another peach scent. Where Fae can be described as white, Imp can only be described as golden. The golden musk and patchouli create an almost earthen undertone with this one, which is quite magnificant but not for me.

    :P

  8. This initially reminds me of a lighter version of Veil, the citrus notes aren't very prominent, but they are there. It smells quite fresh and its very tantalising but just not me.

    :P

  9. This is one half vanilla (not cloying or sugar vanilla) and one half orchid I presume. On me Regan isnt so much spicy as powdery/floral vanilla sweetness. As it dries, the vanilla warms the flower gently. Its wonderful to find a vanilla which isnt tipping towards the gourment side, as the majority seem to be.

To me this is sweetness personified with a gentle core, quietly watching, swirling a brandy glass, half smiling over events going her way.

  10. My first impression is of the a white fruit basket, not ripe but at the peak of their fruitation, glistening with their juices dribbling down. As a colour the scent is definitely white and ethereally flittering around.

Very appealing and a tantalising combination, this has to be my perfect fuity perfume. :P

  11. Wow this is so not what I was expecting from the description. This is almost as grown up as Unseelie or Queen Maab. It smells so sophisticated. The most prominent note I can smell is the grapefruit, then something almost gingery behind it.

A wonderful combination for when you want to smell exoticly sophicated.

  12. An interesting blend, and my first "clean" type of fragrance from BPAL. Its very ozone and to me a little asexual but this doesnt detract from the scent at all. Its initially a strong aquatic but then it dies down to a more airy scent and for some weird reason, its faded within an hour (I didnt put much on though to be fair) and towards the end it morphed into smelling somewhat "clean-cut coconutty" ?_?

Delectable and desirable, I cant wait for a bigger bottle to get here.

    :P

  13. Its name is very apt :P I tried on a tiny dab on my elbow and its the sharpest mint scent to smell. Although I can smell the lavender the penny royal note is predominant. My intial impression is that it's wonderful, and this will be a glorious scent to use with bathwash to wake me up in the mornings.

    :D

  14. Wow, I also got a 5ml of Honey and its breathtaking. As mentioned from earlier reviews, its not a sickly sweet honey but a balanced honey which conveys a bronzed smoldering beauty. Not at all like Lush's Honey range, this is much more sophisticated in its complexity.

  15. This on me smells like baby powder, soft and gentle, in a comforting way. Its definitely a keeper, and the lightness makes it great for summer days. I can see why the comparisons to soap have been made but it really does transcede beyond that.

    :P

  16. A May 11th order should have arrived by now, barring incident at customs. Two international customers emailed me about some customs problems recently, so perhaps that's the hold up. =( Orders go out in order of date received, regardless of whether they are domestic or otherwise.

Okay doky, thanks for your reply Beth, knowing my luck it'll come tomorrow and I'll look a knob :D

One thing which may be useful however is emailing international orders to let them know when their order has been sent. As I would guess the majority of them pester you via email anyway to find out, it might reduce the emailage a bit if you send out the same email with names and dates subbed in.

But with Nella being away I can see this being quite tricky to implement.

    :P

  17. First of all, just let me say, yeah I understand what you're saying Beth, and I do agree with the request. So yay :P

But on the flip side, its just fucking hard waiting for a May 11th order when people are saying that they've received their June 1st orders, even if I am an international order and I did realise there would be at the very least a months wait when I ordered.

    :D

  18. At first, the buttery almond is the only note I can detect, then as it dries down to a dark dusky scent. Its absolutely gorgeous and I'm surprised I havn't tried this sooner.

If you think of Eclipse as the almond sun scent then Hecate would be its darker almond scent counterpart.
