    Dragon's Milk

Helloooooo Dragon's Milk! Goodness I love this scent! In the Imp: Kinda cherry cough drop-like. But there's still a resinous bite to it that keeps it from being overly medicinal. I was honestly surprised by how dominant the cherry smell was. But it's not a normal cherry. It's recognizable, but like.. it's a new species that evolved from the cherry you're familiar with. You know what it is and where it came from, but it's obviously different. Lol. Wet: Woah! Cherrycherrycherrycherrycherry. The medicinal quality is fading and I can smell the vanilla/honey notes now, though they're faint. Very strong and it's got quite a throw. Drydown: Cherry is still the dominant note but it's still the distant cousin type and the vanilla/honey are more obvious along with a somewhat smokey resinous smell that adds an intriguing layer to it. It lasts a really long time on me. I put it on around 3pm and it's now nearly 1am and it's still discernible to a direct sniff, though not an atmospheric smell anymore. That's ok. Frankly I was surprised at how strong it was. I put it on a few hours before going to work and I was worried that I'd overapplied because it was still extremely strong when I went in (and stayed that way for several hours). I wasn't paying attention to when it stopped being an atmospheric scent. But still... this one has lasted longer than any others I've tested so far. It's glorious! I love it and I really want to try the other Ars Draconis scents now.

    Black Pearl

In the Imp: Interesting... Suntan lotion and some sharp note that I think is the iris. Maybe the musk. Not sure. I'm not getting hazelnut at all... which is sad because that's what I was looking forward to the most. Wet: Woah. Suntan lotion, big time. It's strong too. That sharpness is still there, and it's more musky now. Still not getting any coconut or hazelnut... Drydown: Fading fast.. My skin just doesn't like this one. That's sad. It's gone soapy/powdery and the sharpness is gone, leaving just the suntan lotion smell. Smells just like the sunscreen mom used to slather on me on the Florida beaches. Not necessarily unpleasant, but if I wanted to smell like sunscreen.. I'd wear it instead of BPAL. Lol Judging by everyone else's reviews, my experience is an oddity. I really wanted this one to work. Coconut and hazelnut? Sounds like a dream! But it wasn't meant to be. Within 2 hours, this has faded almost completely and I can barely detect anything. Oh well... to the swaps it goes, I suppose.

    Dorian

Inspired by and created for my beloved Tedwin: my eternal, beautiful, wicked Dorian Gray. Refined, elegant, and lovely, with a noble bearing and seemingly gentle air. This blend is an artful deception: a sweet gilded blossom lying over a twisted and corrupted core. A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea. In the Bottle: My first impression was white tea, but the lemon makes a strong second. Then I noticed the vanilla and musks. It took me a second to recognize the musks for what they were. It reminds me of that perfume "White Musk" which I always thought was way too strong, but this is like.. White Musk: new and improved. Just enough to make you think "sexy" without whopping you over the head with it. Wet: The lemon is strongest, and I'm trying to decide if it's pleasant. I think it is. Vanilla comes out strong too, also with it's best friend yummy musk. Dry: Heavy on the vanilla now, as I'd hoped. The musks are playing second fiddle, but it's a nice background music, a supporting role, like they know they're not supposed to take center stage. The lemon is barely perceptible now. This is a delightful scent! Love it!!
