This smells just like my Tagetes essential oil which smells nothing like marigolds to me. Oh well, had to try it. Thick, heavy, cloying wow.
-
This is more of a spiced pumpkin than Yellow Pumpkin Floss, with a hint of lavender in the beginning drying down to pumkin spice-ish violet? I had to try it but it isn't a love.

A PECULIAR SPIRIT Tobacco absolute with neroli, oudh, benzoin, and black tea leaf. Black tea leaf = Licorice/anise. I sniffed the decant and knew it would go wrong because it always does. Interesting that black tea doesn't smell a bit like any black tea i've ever smelled. :-/ I had to atleast sniff it though, since the other notes sounded like a nice combo.

Wow. Yup- non spicy pumpkin with lemon sugar! This is really yummy. Canned pumpkin meets Lemon Scented Sticky Bat. Go! Oh, and I forgot to add how STRONG this is. Holy moly!

I quite like this. I don't smell any lavender (even after a second day of testing) but this is definitely tooth achingly sweet candy with snake oil underneath. Happy scent.

Wonderful strong patchouli, sweetened by the other notes. It is so well blended, nothing else stands out to me, but the fig and amber are detectable. I love it! Eta: After a few months of aging, Nasty Woman has morphed into an ideal scent for me. I don't know how to describe it but the patchouli is almost sparkly yet refined and the other notes are much more discernable now. I love it! (Feb '17) Eta2: After a few years of aging, this has settled into such a beautiful sweet patchouli skin scent. The fig is lovely, just lending a bit of chewy sweetness to the patchouli. There's more going on but nothing else stands out to me. I am so glad I kept my first bottle and I think I will buy another to put away. đź’ś

Yikes. If you can't wear honey, steer clear. I was hoping this would be cassia dominant but it is not. That honey :-(
-
Holy cardamom! Woo it is strong! Nice cake underneath. Yum.
-
Good luck! Please let me know what you think when you try it? I'm always curious to see if I'm close :-)
-
Have you tried Pumpkin Vines? It came out a few years ago. I think, maybe that layered with just a touch of Hay Moon might be close to what you're looking for?

Wow. On my skin this is all about the patchouli, red musk and vanilla with a hint of hazelnut. This is gorgeous and I need a bottle.
-
Having been in a very similar situation to yours (I am SO sorry, by the way), I would recommend Peace. :-) Stay sane and I wish you and your father the best.

Patchouli absolute, white orris, agarwood, and ambrette seed. Wow. Something comes across as honey or beeswax ish which I can't stand on my skin. In the next 15 minutes it transforms and blossoms...the patchouli and orris are a great combo. It reminds me of an earthier Dance of Death (which I love) and then I think I start smelling the ambrette and it turns into an almost sweet, sensual outdoorsy scent. Whatever it is, it smells comforting and I can only imagine how well this will age. It feels like a late Autumn scent to me, so I will put it away till then. Another beautiful creation and I am happy to have a bottle. ETA: I give. I cannot stop huffing my wrists...it feels like Our Lady of Pain with the lavender replaced with orris...feels. Absolute love. I think I need a bottle to cellar...anyone waffling on this? Don't. It is a masterpiece. ETA 2: this keeps getting better. I had to edit the funky bit I wrote because it just isn't happening anymore. Pure love.

Perfect patchouli very lightly dusted with sweetness. Gorgeous.

I swear this is the most beautiful thing I have ever smelled. I agree with the positive reviews here and don't want to be redundant but yes, red musk/vanilla spray of dreams! I would love to have this as a perfume oil and bath oil too! I cannot stop spraying it on my clothes...I just hope it lasts!

The above review is my experience too. I adore this. Eta: After 4+ years of aging this is still amazing. I'm wearing it next to Spanked Revisited and the ginger is noticible but not loud. There's just a touch of Snake Oil but honestly? If I didn't know it was in here, I wouldn't have guessed it was. The cassia is the star here, and I love it. Aging has smoothed it out enough that there is heat and just a touch of itchyness where the oil is applied but no welts. 🙂 Really good.

How beautiful this is! The lavender is prominent, like I had hoped and I smell a bit of musk underneath and only a touch of leaves with some sweet florals. I am so glad I was able to buy a bottle on etsy...this is a special perfume! ETA this oil is a semi dark reddish brown! Quite unexpected!

This is beautiful. If you've been missing Vechernyaya, this is in the same vein! Powdery myrrh, dark musk and dark poppies.

A white chypre drenched in soft spring rain against a backdrop of gently swaying bamboo reeds. Definitely aquatic but the bitterness that usually happens on my skin with most aquatics (except There's Water Here) is not happening here! This is a beautiful springtime perfume. If you kept trying to like Wild Swans at Coole (like me) but it never quite sat well (muguet possibly?) give this a try...it is riveting. Also...this was reminding me of a (sorry!) favorite drugstore cologne that I wore in the early 90's... thanks to TTP for helping me remember - Naturistics Botanical - the stuff in the pretty green bottle...this is quite similar, in all the right ways, and I am so excited! This is deeper and more exquisite, but they are similar to me :-) trying to be as helpful as possible - first review!

Gingerbread with red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh. Imagine a patchouli-lite Lust where the ylang ylang is candied and the red musk is sugared. Add a shot of gingerbread and that is what the dry down smells like to me. In the bottle i smelled fresh Lust and a hint of gingerbread but once on, i had to keep sniffing (puzzled) because it doesn't smell like Lust to me...it smells gorgeous - perfumey gingerbread - but it doesn't smell like my beloved Lust. Huh. I cannot wait to see what some age does here, this should be some ride.

I am so excited to finally have a bottle of Peace! I smelled lavender like most people but now I'm also smelling some violet, which I quite like. I also smell vanilla or tonka. Peace smells beautiful. I will add more to this review after I use it for its intended purpose tomorrow. ETA: What a beautiful oil. I am a very high stress person and although this oil doesn't necessarily calm me, it is so beautiful that I cannot stay angry or frustrated. Beautiful.

Osmanthus, linden, tuberose, carnation, ylang ylang, and lemon tree blossoms with Himalayan cedar and a drop of tobacco absolute. This is so beautiful. All flowers present and blended seamlessly...perfect for spring! I need another bottle. This reminds me of the Primavera atmo spray from a few years ago, which i also love. Bravo.

I decided to take a last minute chance with this one and I'm not sure if I like it. I don't smell any pink pepper or patchouli...just lots of strawberry (yum) and rum (not so yum). I will let it sit for a few weeks and hope the patchouli will drown the rum! Eta: Beautiful. The patchouli and pink pepper are doing the most exotic dance. This is exquisite and I am so glad I took a chance.

I came here to write a review but LiberAmoris already wrote a better version of what I had to say. I tested this when I first got the decant and was underwhelmed. I tested again last night and just now and yup, knocking my socks off. I love it. ETA: This is aging beautifully. Now it is all about the saffron and rosewood...gorgeous.

Gorgeous after 15 minutes on my skin. Poppy, patchouli and a dark red wine...this could easily have fit into the Our Lady of Pain update from a few years ago. Classy, hot and makes my nose really happy.
