From application to drydown Opiate Gardens is soapy ALL ORCHID, ALL THE TIME.

 

I need to agree with this. I love orchids but in this blend they don't love me. It is very soapy and expensive smelling, but also something like an old lady would wear on me. Just not me.

Personally I have to beat men off when I wear Countess Willie (actually had to stop wearing it at work), and the combination of Bordello with The Black Rider is a win too.

Pumpkin V and Arabian Dance for sure. Both fabulous.

In the bottle- gooey peaches with carmelized brown sugar.

 

On my skin (I apply as a moisturizer), it turns into a warm yummy peach cobbler scent. Absolutely delicious!

I will second Sugar Skull, and throw in Raven Moon (such awesome spiciness and warmth). Its not really foody, but it's a winner for sure!

 

Creepy is great for your caramel Apple needs, and Ghoulish smells like yummy cherry buttercream frosting!

This is straight out of the box, so I may come back and edit after this settles....

In the bottle this is straight up Opium and Orchid, very similar to Black Orchid v3 to my nose, strong and heady.

Wet on skin- still very strong opium and orchid, with something lurking underneath, I think its the cypress and plum..... mmmm.... I like this. No rose detectable yet, but as rose isn't always my friend just fine by me.

Dry- this softens up considerably. The rose does start coming out slightly, but its still behind the orchid and opium. Not much plum detected, which is slightly disappointing, but I am such an orchid fan I don't really care

I would definitely categorize this in the same vein as Black Orchid v3, or if your a fan of Great Vampire Bat. Smokey Orchid fans rejoice! This will be used quite a bit this summer on steamy evenings as I see this being a beautiful wafter.

I tend to layer The Black Rider with Bordello. Its my favorite combination. Possibly might work for the two of you? Congratulations!

The Black Rider and Malice are my two go-to's when I want to feel powerful.

Anyone else get buttered popcorn? Cause that is EXACTLY what this smells like on me. No thank you.

I love this. Its what I always wanted Snake Oil to be on my skin, but failed to achieve. This is dark, sexy, and powerful. I cannot discern individual notes, except the red and black musks, and a slight sugary top note.

I'm thinking of going with Debauchery, Perversion, Bengal, and Fenris Wolf. Both Red Rider and Black Rider sound great, does anyone have a suggestion towards one or the other?

 

I have both riders, Red ends up being an almost single note seude leather scent on me. I far prefer Black with its complexity. In fact, its my favorite GC .

The Black Rider (under Marchen) a leather, amber musk combo that I love to wear when I am feeling particularly dangerous...

Last time I wore inferno my skin went red/welty/firey. I don't love it enough to buy a scent locket just for it, but lesson learned.

I need this. I love this. Spicy warm Apple, pumpkin, and patchuli. I have almost used up both my decants of this. Total win.

This smells like Jasmine scented cleaner on me. Not a win.

There was no way, NO WAY, I could let this one get away from me. Black Plum, black current, black musk AND jungle orchid in one blend?! Hello?! Holy grail making here!

In the bottle- BAM! In your face black plum and black current. This is like WOAH strong!

Wet in skin- yup, the black plum is roaring to the front, with the bitterness of the black current in a close second. Not detecting the musk, but there is a sparkling, shimmery aspect that I think is the grapefruit. I can detect some floral underneath, if not pick them out individually.

Dry- in a way this is the dark evil twin of sugar plum fairy. Or its black swan to SPF's white swan. The plum is the star player here, no doubt about it, but whereas SPF has bright sweet complementing notes, this is darker. This is a heady, sexual quality to this. Black plum, currant and grapefruit making this the rich star it is. I am not getting the orchid I was hoping for, but its all right with me.

After an hour- There's the orchid! Lurking under the bolder notes, but it is present. WIN.

These are great. Ghoulish is my fave (naturally) but blue pumpkin floss is right behind. Sorry I can't be more detailed, other then these taste like I imagined the perfumes would!
