  1. Wet I get no apples, which is fine because I'm not an apple fan. I do get a caramelish sweetness, but this is sadly short lived. It quickly turned into this weird artificial powdered candy smell that I don't like at all. It's strong too. Apples never did show up to this party.

And this smells nothing like Bloody Mary on me thank god- I love Bloody Mary! This Hallowench, not so much!

  2. Very pretty scent. I feel like this is more of a "whole scent" than individual notes I can pick out... First sniff it reminded me of Black swallow tail, even though they don't share notes. I do smell ylang ylang & sweet lavender. Seems to have a good bit of throw on me too. I like this one too. So far I have loved all the Hallowenches!

  3. Heavy salty aquatic with a sweetness from some sort of flower thrown in there. I do smell that same bready, baked good note others smell when first applied ,but it burns off in about 20 mins. Since that bready smell is gone now I can smell the fire smoldering in the background. It reminds me of Aurora Spaceship takes a dive. Still, a very pretty salty ,slightly sweet aquatic (loves me some ambergris!) and just a faint ember in the background.

  4. Rose. Rose, rose and more rose. I amp fore mentioned note like there is no tomorrow, so this pretty much just a strait forward sn rose on me. Strong as all get out too. When I first put it on I could smell a bit of a deep vetiver component, but it was quickly trampled by ROSE and that is all that remains.

    Not my thing unfortunately.

  5. Cardamom tea, orange peel, mate, oakmoss, tonka bean, sweet cedar, and costus.

This was very hard to decipher. I can smell spicy tea and cedar. It smells weird. I didn't like it while it was wet, but dried to something that reminds me of a generic Lush scent. Wtf, that 2 butterfly scents so far that has happened with. And I haven't really bought lush in years, I just like to sniff it. I know this isn't a very helpful review I apologize. Tiny hands solid moisturizer. That's what this reminds me of. So bizarre.

  6. I don't smell any orange while this was wet, just tonka and sandalwood. It dries to a very soft, sandalwood that stays close to my skin. Not a lot of throw, but it's a nice fuzzy brown scent. This would be nice when you want an snuggly, understated skin scent .

  7. White thyme, yuzu fruit, hinoki wood, blue cedar, white carnation, plum rind, white mandarin, and lime-tinted white musk.

Wow this has a lot going on! Herbal. Fruity. A bit floral. Wet, I smell herbs and Yuzu/mandarin citrusy thing over everything else. Carnation I can pick out but it's not particularly strong. I can also smell wood as this dries further... It's getting stronger as it dries. Yep. Herbal wood with fruit cut up on it. Kind of a strange scent for a perfume. This would be a nice room spray actually......

  8. Sweet orange with tobacco absolute and hay.

Orange is the first note I get. I can smell the tobacco underneath with a slightly caramel-y base. As this dries the orange fades (as orange tends to do) and I can now smell the hay. So tobacco and hay! It's a sweet , grassy hay and a nice caramel tobacco. I like this one a lot too. Very well done!

  9. Licorice bark with freesia, jungle orchids, elemi, Bulgarian rose otto, and jasmine sambac.

Wet I get a whiff of licorice, and something sweet, the freesia I do believe. This smells fantastic on me! I sometimes can't wear jasmine but this is so well blended I don't even notice it. This to me smells like bubbles . I know that sounds weird, but it for some reason reminds me of a Lush bubble bar. It's nice and strong too. I keep catching whiffs.
As it dries it stays strong and has not morphed. I love love love this scent the longer I have it on. It's such a pretty/clean scent. I'm not sure what the rose otto smells like alone, but I think it's giving this a bit of a softness, while I can still smell the licorice and freesia they just somehow work nicely together. Jasmine I really wouldn't know is in here if I didn't see the notes, so jasmine haters don't be afraid! Absolute beautiful scent. Bottle worthy for me for sure!

  10. This was so strange on me too. Started off as a aquatic chocolate with an herbal, almost spicy edge to it. Chocolate left town pretty quickly after I applied. Maybe 15 mins later I kept getting whiffs of leather!?! I'm not a leather fan so I was kinda glad when this also disappeared. Now I am left with a soft but strong pencil shavings. Wth. This is the most an oil has morphed in the longest time on me. This smells right now, what Lyonesse smelled like on me. Bad pencil shavings. Maybe it's the Ambergris note they share? Doesn't list it but I really smell it. Wierd since I can wear SN ambergris no problem. Chemistry... Smh!

  11. The above review is identical to mine. This was nothing but overly perfumey , sharp and generally not good on me. Based on the notes this should have been an amazing win on me. Vanilla, mandarin, almond, hell yes!!! Nope-none of those notes in here. This is all perfumey musk that smells like department store perfume my aunt had called " Tresor " I don't know what went wrong. I still have the bottle I bought blindly based on the description (when will I learn) in hopes it does a complete 180 with some age? I know hopeful thinking :(

But for me bad bad bad

  12. Ice

Devoted ruthlessness. This is the scent of razors, cold metal, icicles, and her diamond-tipped claws: eucalyptus blossom, crystalline musk, white ginger, mint, and elemi.

Wet - this such a sharp musk. I can smell only a tiny drop of mint (not a mint fan so this is fine with me) and a metallic aquatic note. I don't notice any eucalyptus outwardly, maybe that it's contributing to the sharpness? Eucalyptus on me is very medicinal smelling and I really don't notice any. It's definitely got a cologney feel to it. So far so good!
Dry -it is completely man cologne on me. It doesn't morph too awfully much, although the drop of mint is totally gone. It smells rather sexy, if it was on a guy. I would attack him. It's a masculine clean, scent just not a "me" scent . I do have to say though, this scent is so well blended. I do find myself sniffing my arm and going "mmmmm" over and over....

  13. Tobacco flower, saffron crocus, myrrh, ambergris accord, and a touch of vetiver grass.

First off I love tobacco sn, not so much a fan of tobacco flower after I had it completely ruin a blend for me. I figured I would roll the dice and get this blend unsnifffed. Wet it's very much an oceany, fresh aquatic on me. Tobacco flower is behaving and it's the lovely ambergris that is strongest. I can smell a sweet grassy tone underneath not sure if that's what vetiver grass smells like but it's nice. As it dries not much change. I like! About half an hour later, it softens further and the tobacco flower is a little more prominent. Ambergris is still holding on and I can detect that powdery-ness of myrrh? But tobacco flower is dominant note in this blend. Very nicely done. I like it!

  14. Marshmallow root, vanilla cream, black ginger, Rainier cherries, white sandalwood, anise seed, and red currants.

I was most excited for this scent... And it doesn't disappoint me! Wet it's like a foodie heaven. Smells of buttery vanilla cakes and gingery currants. This smells amazing!!! As it dries the vanilla softens and it loses it foodieness and I swear, smells like Antique laces sister on me. The ginger and other notes all pretty much leave the party and it's just vanilla with a dash of spicy ginger left standing. So pretty. I even put some AL on just for comparison and they are very similar. I am completely in love with this scent and will enjoy my bottle :)

*eta - Yep the more this dries down the more convinced I am it's the vanilla from AL.

  15. Sheer vanilla, hinoki wood, lavender, bergamot, cotton blossom, and lightly spiced oriental blossoms.

Wet this is lavender & cotton blossom to my nose first and foremost. Lavender is a quick fader (as she always is on me... Sigh) and I am left with cotton blossoms. Sweet and soft but very pretty. I really don't smell much else other than a slight whiff of wood but it's so far underneath it's barely a player. This is a delicate scent and it does fade into oblivion rather fast. I did but a bottle unsniffed so I don't know if I like it enough to keep it. Not a "me" scent.

  16. This scent kinda confused the hell out of me. Wet its strong. But strong what!? It feels a lil green/floral to me. A sharpness as well but i cannot for the life of me pick out notes in this. Its blended incredibly well.

As it dries i think its musk? I got no rose(thank goodness) or tonka. Maybe the blackcurrent bud giving me the green/floral notes?? I dunno, this is prob not very helpful! Lol. The more it dries it does have a muskiness to it. I am not familiar with the india ink sn so i cannot compare there...but this bad sally is sooooo damn strong! I would definitely recommend NOT slathering as it does pack a punch. YIRMV.

Not sure how i fell about this one. Its definitely a clean kinda scent on my skin. A good summer scent cause its not a heavy scent at all, just huge throw.

  17. First and foremost.. :wub2: i love this blend!! Its a sweet almost candy-like vanilla and some saffron that reminds me of Loves Philosophy. Not the whole blend mind you, but its the same saffron. The sweet part of this maybe from the freesia or ylang ylang? While i dont smell them individually, I do think they are contributing to the sweetness of this scent. After a few mins of dry down, it does get this less sweet, golden feel that just knocks it out of the park for me. It is low throw and a rather quick fader, but its gorgeous! Slather worthy for sure!
