  1. This reminds me very much of Pumpkin Princess. More specifically, the drydown of PP. It is very creamy. It's also quite simple so it would lend itself well to layering. It has a smoothness that is easy to love. I actually don't get a lot of spice, and I am very very sensitive to that. It's a buttery smooth vanilla with a teensy suggestion of pumpkin.

  2. I'm surprised that the jasmine is what prevents me from loving this blend. It kind of smells like a dirty diaper on me! It vacillates between dirty diaper and woodsy, clean cologne smell. I wish the cherry had more of a presence. I can see this blend layering well with Kabuki or something to amp the cherry. I'm not giving up on this one!

  3. This is all popcorn all the time! Very salty buttery popcorn. Actually if I smell this further away I occasionally get wafts of watermelon. Maybe that's the pink noses. I wish the popcorn would let the other notes come out more. I prefer Elephantine Colossus for a popcorn scent because it's more balanced.

  4. This is how I thought Vampire Bride should smell. In the bottle I get mostly wine, vetiver, and clove. On me somehow it turns into creamy blueberry  with vetiver. I guess the cherry is coming off as blueberry to me. I really like this and I wouldn't mind if the vetiver and clove come out more when it ages, because it is super super sweet on my skin.

  5. I use all the bath oils as in-shower moisturizers. This one starts out as a deep dark caramel when I first apply it in the shower. Then after I rinse it off, it morphs into this amazing lemon scent. It's dewy and musky and sugary lemon. Almost like Dorian but with no tea. Very nice surprise! Biggest scent morph I have ever encountered.

  6. Also, if anyone could help me find something similar to White Cherry Blossom, I'd be very grateful.

Top notes are plum, green notes, freesia, sicilian bergamot, apple and lemon; middle notes are litchi, tuberose, cherry blossom and water lily; base notes are sandalwood, melon, brazilian rosewood and musk.

    Thank youuu.

ugggghhhh. i love that so much! there's precious little lychee in bpal. Thouros is a nice juicy rose/lychee. i think to achieve anything close to WCB you'll have to figure out some kind of layering scheme. to me, i mostly smell the tuberose and lychee in WCB.

if anyone has a better answer please speak up :D

  7. Harimise is a great one for people averse to vetiver. It has loads of sweet stuff in it to mask it. In all other blends vetiver smells like meat, burning hair, fish, or rancid peanut butter to me. Wonder if the Haitian variety is different.

ETA: it's listed as "khus" in Harimise, I believe. Yup it is!

Rice powder, osmanthus, rose geranium, magnolia, khus, and chestnut.

  8. Zombi is an interesting rose/earth/oakmoss scent. Though I don't know if rose might make you feel nauseous :P

No, no scents except the ones my Beloved Husband makes causes me to be sick :-P

well...i've never been pregnant, but rose seemed to me like the kind of smell that would make a pregnant person feel queasy. it is a very lovely rose, though! the earth and oakmoss compliment it beautifully.

  9. Pieman is sick. I love the smell and the actual soap is so pretty, dark blue with some pink.

ModderRu, I haven't tried the Pearl Diver yet, but imp is one of my BPAL favorites.

I just ordered a whipped, can't for the life of me remember which one...

it's very nice. it's a unique, salty floral.

  10. i remember someone saying that velvet unicorn is "too...toooooo." that appealed to me very much. i was like, "bring it on!"

and yeah i definitely see what that person was saying. it's crazy cherry overload. it's like when you chew on a cherry laffy taffy and it's kind of oily/fatty and juicy and warm. just pure hedonism. definitely velvety. it also reminds me of the taste of those cherry catcher's mitt ice creams with the baseball shaped gumball.

    love!

  11. this is a BPAL first for me. it's actually too strong. i have never felt that way about a BPAL before

the patchouli isn't that dirty to my nose. it's actually kind of sharp and soapy. i definitely can smell the other notes struggling underneath the patchouli, though. they're being squished!

i know for sure that this will be awesome in a few years or so. it's already calmed down significantly from when i bought my bottles around christmas.

  12. oh no. why do i have to love this? WHY?!

it's lovely pillowy marshmallows dipped in milk with a tiny bit of green stuff in the background to make it wearable. the pink sugar is what i get the least of. there's just a teensy hint of cherry or berry or something

it's just gorgeous :wub2: if you think you don't like candy smells or foodies, try this anyway. it's very different.

ETA: surprisingly, this also lasts and lasts and lasts...and lasts. it's also got a large throw radius, yet it's pretty subtle. it just kind of floats around you in a cloud of gentle milky loveliness.
