  1. First use of a hair gloss and this will be the first of a few I'm going to review.

Well. This is rather special. The scent is absolutely heavenly. I'm a self-confessed lover of anything honey-related and this hits the spot perfectly. I'm using the gloss primarily on the ends of my hair and after applying just a little, I can feel an instant difference. The gloss is not oily in the slightest and becomes almost powdery on the hands after applying to the hair. I smell like a bee Goddess with a honey halo and my hair is silky-shiny-wowohsosmooth. Very impressed indeed :wub2:

  2. I remember being disappointed by this last year so I decided to put it away and leave it a while before writing up a review. I forgot that I had it altogether until today. I wish, wish, wish that the red musk was more prominent because I am a junky for the stuff. I don't get any citrus as others have, mainly on me it is white tea, elemi and a bit of myrrh.

It's much nicer than I remember it being; very crisp and fresh. It lingers a good while on me but it sings most beautifully just before the drydown. I won't be needing a backup, but I will definitely keep this bottle for use on hot days like today :wub2:

  3. I agree with the poster above who said this was like the lovechild of Snake Oil and Midway. It REALLY is.

My two favourite scent groups tend to be gourmand or musky, so this is an absolute treat for me. I'm getting everything I should get and it has tremendous throw. Plus, how cute is that label, really??

More bottles to come, for definite. I want to be embalmed in this stuff! :wub2:

  4. This review is for the 2008 version.

Uh oh, I have another scent I need to hoard. This is absolutely lush! I would say more sensual than sexy... mmh, this is GOOD. I get everything I get from Snake Oil, but this is better somehow. My all-time favourite BPAL is the heavy red musk version of The Infernal Lover, but for the time being I think it's safe to say that Snake Charmer will be getting more love. Much more love. Passionately obsessively love, at least three or four times a day. This stuff is just delicious. THUD.

  5. Oya

Awwww, wish I had gotten the cherry from this! I get the incense (which is lovely) but hardly any fruit. I bought this for ritual use anyway so I guess it doesn't matter, but I do love me some cherry :/

  6. Testing this for the first time from a beautifully aged 10ml cobalt. The patchouli and black musk win out for me - and that's just fine. It's deep and makes me feel headstrong and wanton at the same time. Rose and vanilla come next for me and somehow, I get little to no apple, bergamot or neroli. I was a little worried about the neroli, but happily I get none at all. Perhaps this is because of how old the bottle is though, the floral and fruit notes might be stronger with a lab-fresh bottle. I could happily wear this every day. There is a powdery note coming through a few minutes after the drydown, but again I don't mind it. Reminds me of Haunted, actually. Loves!

  7. Hello baby, where have you been all my life? :wub2:

On me, this is straight-up vanilla coke with an almost cakey-almondy sweetness on the drydown.

EDIT : I finally opted to buy a full bottle of this and... woah. Fresh from the lab this is Dr Pepper with a twist of lime. This is so fizzy and fun and magical. I am so glad I have enough of this to slather every single day now.

  8. I wanted to love this, but on me it is all soap and salt and nothing more. It also smells intensely medicinal on the drydown and somehow that makes me feel a bit sick :/ What a shame!

EDIT : I ended up getting a lab-fresh bottle of this and it is soooo different to the experience I had with a frimp. From the bottle, this is very woody and floral. Roses and teak. On my wrist, it is so evocative and I get none of the previous soapiness whatsoever. On the drydown, it is a very mysterious rose scent with a woody backdrop and an incensey vibe. Beautiful.

  9. My husband and I tried this together just now. On me it is all red apples and pineapple and on him it is all banana and sugar cane. Either way, it is absolutely deliciour and we both love it. A bottle please!!

  10. I've had a crush on Jareth for YEARS so I was uber-excited about trying this one :wub2:

    The verdict? GORGEOUS!!!

Definitely and absolutely the twisted sibling of Dorian. When I first sniffed it in the bottle, I thought it smelt *exactly* like Dorian, but upon wearing it, that delicious dark side is revealed with subtle leathers and musks. Oh to be Sarah, breathing this in as the Goblin King swirls her around that poisoned-peach ballroom fantasy scene. I need about a billion bottles of this. Perfect!! <3

  11. Loving the subtle peppermint. This is really, really nice. It's so evocative of all that fairies adore - sweet meadows, soothing herbs and magical, blooming flowers. I wish that it lasted a little longer on my skin because it does seem to fade very quickly, but those first few minutes - gorgeous :wub2:

  12. The Infernal Lover (heavy red musk) is my go-to sexy scent. It's a surefire head-turner for me.

Le Léthe comes next. One of my favourite GC blends ever.

I also rate Bordello. I get compliments every single time I wear it, even from strangers.

Lolita and Jailbait are both great for a playful mood. I adore their candy sweetness and how there is a subtle adult twist to each.

    Whip is very commanding. Obviously.

I find Perversion extremely sexy on both men and women. I love that stuff ^__^

Smut is gorgeous, no matter if aged or fresh.

I think Miskatonic University is divine on a man. Very seductive and smooth.

Aaaaaand Red Lantern. I wish I had more of this. Just heart-stoppingly, maddeningly sensual :wub2:

  13. Absolutely effing gorgeous. I've been looking for this for over two years and now it's here I can honestly say it truly lives up to its reputation. Floofy, powdery, gooey, sweet marshmallowy goodness. I totally get that 'pink' edge that people keep mentioning, but I'm not getting any of the fruit. I want to be embalmed in this. My new #1 favourite BPAL of all time.
