    Pink Moon 2005

In the bottle... smells like that new barbie perfume I've sniffed while wondering the ailes of sephora. Very girly girly girly. On the skin - very sweet and soft. Pink sugary cake frosting. The scent almost spells out the word "pink" to me, it's all I think of when I smell my wrist. Not in a bad way, just in a very feminine "legally blonde on amphetamines" way. Dry after about 30 minutes - There's a light sugar smell, almost like sugar cookies. It's sweet in a much more mellow sense. I like the drydown much better than the initial two stages. All in all.. I may keep this decant around for a while, but I have a feeling I might eventually swap/sell it. I know it isn't me but it's hard to part with a lunacy blend.

    Wanda

Along with Loviatar, she has become something of a Patron Goddess of all Dominatrixes, Wanda is the breathtakingly beautiful sable-wrapped marble queen of Sacher-Masoch's fantasies. Her scent is a deep red merlot with a faint hint of leather, sexual musk and body heat over crushed roses, violets and myrtle. Wet - This smells exactly like.. easter egg dye! Vinegar and grape smell. Drying - Mmm... rich merlot or blackberry wine. Very decadent and lovely. Dry - more of the rose is coming out, not a powdery, poufy pink rose.. a rich, thorny red rose. Like a black baccara rose splashed with wine. Actually no... have you ever bitten a red rose petal? You can taste the fragrance, and there's a lightly green taste that's a little reminiscent of wine. That's what this smells like to me; the way a rose tastes. Very lovely.. I will be getting a big bottle of this asap.

    The Dormouse

Holy crap, LEMONNNNNN!!!!! Wet- All I smell is lemon tea. Like a drop of tea on a lemon that's being shoved up my nose! lemonlemonlemonlemon. Dry- it's a little less harsh, but when I sniff, I still smell a lemon that refuses to negotiate with the other notes. Republic of LEMON. I think it's my skin chemistry.

    Ultraviolet

hmm, this didn't smell cold or metallic to me at all! It smelled like sugary violets. The kind you put on wedding cakes. I smell a slightly soapy and green undertone as well. It's definitely not a warm smell, it's just a slightly bluish purple smell. Not a deep purple violet, but a little wild patch of violets, bobbing in a slightly chill breeze. I have a violet single note from another place, and I definitely prefer Ultraviolet to that. It has more depth and edge to it.

    Envy

Crisp, cool, delicious. Makes me think of what I wish salad tasted like! I like the minty-ness. Commercial perfumes always claim to have mint in them, but I can never smell it. It's refreshing to actually be able to detect the sharp yumminess that is mint. I like the herby dry down.. a green grassy smell very evocative of a technicolor green field in the land of Oz. This is such a different perfume. Really something to wear if you're literally rolling around in money. It's a cold and yet giddy smell. Love it love it.

    Alice

Hmph. I was so excited to find someone that was selling this imp, since everyone seems to love it, but alas, Alice and I were not meant to be busom buddies, though we share the same name. I put it on and almost willed myself to like it... but I honestly felt like an old lady. An old lady wearing one of those pink sweaters with a mock collar sewn into them and white keds. Maybe a bunny brooch and coral lipstick. Sigh. I think the rose and honey did me in. I find that white-smelling roses make me frown and set the offending imp aside. Alice did get a smidgen spicy as she dried down, but sadly for her, the spiciness only made me think of an old lady wearing and one piece bathing suit from the 20s and too much suntan lotion.

    Love Me

My favorite bpal thus far, and I only grabbed it from a forum imp sale because the name was cute and I was buying other stuff! Lucky me. It's funny because I just ate a bowl of black cherries and this perfume smells like black cherries taste, if that makes any sense..and I think it does! Like the other ladies said, this is strong one.. much stronger than any others I've tried, which fade on my remarkably fast.. villain being at the top for fading in about 30 seconds! But not Love me. Love me has stayed through many many up close nose sniffings and spaghetti night cleanup.. so awesome! I smells like..black cherry cola. Black cherry cola being gulped with an atomic fireball in your mouth, sitting in a room filled with dragon's blood incense. Yes yes. Try this one; even if it's not you, it's worth a sniff. PS..and if it's not you, send it to me!

    Tzadikim Nistarim

Oooo! Upon dabbing, it smells like pineapple juice with a hint of olive. A little bit drier.. there's a spiky note in there, or maybe I'm just thinking that after reading the description (spikenard). It smells kind of like.. cactus? But in a yummy way. It's a green/golden scent that is just beautiful!

    Brimstone

Holy Smoke, batman.. this stuff is STRONG! I got this off of Ebay in a lot if other imps that I wanted. I had no idea what to expect when I opened the bottle. Oh dear, this oil is not for the faint of heart. Wet, this smells like swirling, roiling smoke and ashes with maybe a touch of lemon! Drying, it just gets stronger.. a tobacco and smoke smell comes out and boots me in the face. Dry, its an ashy, grey smell that hates me. It hates me and wants to consume me in a tornado of smoldering ashes. There's nothing mellow about it. I, unfortunately, am not man or woman enough for this scent. It got under my fingernails as I was opening the imp, and I didn't stop smelling Brimstone all day.. it drove me crazy.

    Succubus

Blargh. This one turned into black, rotting orange peels on me almost immediately. It was pretty acrid and I couldn't stomach it for long. Good't to know that me and bitter orange aren't destined to be friends. I'm sorry Succubus, but off you go.

    Desire

Sniffing the bottle, I smelled a dark and tart smell, probably the neroli? On, its much softer.. it's definitely spicy and musky, but in a fleeting, feminine way. The rose is there, the rose is always there on oils I try.. but it's a nice, red rose. White roses and I don't usually like each other, but red ones seem to be deeper and richer. The vanilla in the perfume smells like amber to me. Before I looked up the ingredients, I was going to comment on the pretty amber note. I guess that's vanilla instead! MM. All in all, this is a well blended oil. None of the notes stick out so much that they overpower the others. It's a spicy, sweet mixture, it reminds me a bit of Decadence. I really like it, and would wear this often.

    The Hanging Gardens

This perfume is an interpretation of the Hanging Gardens by night, based on further accounts of its fruit and flora: date palm, ebony, fir, pomegranate, plum, two pears, quince, fig, and grapevine with plumeria, three gardenias and dry rose. This is very happy scent... it's light and misty. When I wear it, I think of a midday sky with fluffy clouds tinged with gold by the sun. I think it's the pear that gives me the happy note. I really loved this, and it was nice to have an oil that didn't have the distraction of a rose note. It's a fruity oil that's warmed up by the palm and ebony oils. Not overpowering, and it never turned into a soapy, sticky fruit smell like Titania did. Love it love it. I'm definitely putting it on my 5ml list.

    Bluebeard

This is a very different and intriguing scent. It makes me want to read Robinson Crusoe. This isn't for a jolly, rapscallion of a pirate. This one is for a dark and nefarious cutthroat. The smell is a deep watery purple. Surprisingly, it didn't last long on me at all. It came on strong and proud, but petered out with a soft and sinister whisper. A bit chilling, to be honest. The lavender is strongest at first, but the violet makes a brief and subtle appearance. Vetiver is ever present, it's probably what gives this scent its masculine and brutal edge. All in all, I like this one, and I'm going to keep it around for a shot of something different every once in a while. I sail from time to time, and being the romantic that I am, I think it would be fun to wear this on a sailing trip sometime. Maybe on a stormy day.

    Dracul

Oh my goooodnesss. If I were a man, I would absolutely die for this scent. It's so spicy and musky. I love the extra kick the tobacco gives it. I don't smell the mint much, but I suppose I can live with that. It smells a bit like Old Spice ( I notice someone had mentioned that before) but it's got more of a sexy edge to it. It definitely has staying power. Though I loved this scent, tt's a bit masculine for me and I tried to wash it off...only to find that Dracul wasn't quite done with me yet. Like a brooding, mysterious lover.. you know he's not good for you but you just can't let him go.

    Titania

A nocturnal bounty of fae dew-kissed petals and pale fruits: white grape, white peach, iced pear, musk rose, sweet pea, moonflower and snapdragon. Upon first sniff from my delightful little imp, I swooned. This is a magical, beautiful blend of fruity, blossoming loveliness. Very sweet and delicate, but I can also already tell that this is going to be a fairly heady and long lasting oil. Drying down, it retains it's fruity beauty. I can definitely smell something that reminds me of ripe peaches and grapes. Like opening a bottle of Tropicana twister! Unfortunately... after it's been dry for a while, it starts to morph into a sticky, artificial candy smell. Like I left a bag of jolly ranchers in my car in 100 degree weather and they've melted into a teaming puddle of fruit syrup. Smelling my wrist, I smell the delicate scent I initially loved, but the scent that wafts is a definitely plasticine candy smell. Boo.. I thought I had found a favorite.

    Eve

At fist sniff, I really hated Eve. It smelled like a typical floral out of the bottle, full of big, arrogant flowers crowding for attention. Eventually, though, they all decided to play nice, and this scent rounded out to a sweet and gentle yellow tone. I liked the honey, though it smelled a bit... too honeyed. I know that makes no sense, but the honey smell was almost a bit too yellow and not golden enough. I think it was accentuated by the flowers. I do like the drydown. It's a scent that would be nice to wear for a garden party or a wedding. A very "celebration in the spring" scent.

    Moscow

Hmm. In the bottle, this smells almost exclusively of lily to me. On application, I smell something sharp and clear, maybe tangerine? Soon, a heavy note of jasmine is followed by even more lily. Dry, all i can smell is the lily and jasmine. This is indeed a very white scent. It makes me think of a plantation house in Georgia, with an enormous garden full of white lilies. I think I expected Moscow to smell a little less floral and more... clear and icy, maybe? Maybe I was just thinking it should smell like vodka. Unfortunately, I'm not a big white floral person, but I can imagine a very feminine young lady wearing this and smelling divine.

    Dublin

MMm! This one was an immediate favorite. Opening the bottle, I got a whiff of something piney, with a bit of deep rich wood scent. Drying, a bit of a floral, sweet milky scent comes through. Dry, after about 15 minutes of wear.. delicous. This scent is really reminiscent of its name. This is what I imagine Ireland would smell like. Like a warm, dimly lit pub in a small village inhabited by faerie folk. Slightly spicy and woodsy, with a hint of pine. I don't smell rose, but there's a sweet floral there. I just love this, I will wear it religiously because it's one of those scents that doesn't need to be worn during a particular season to feel appropriate.
