Milk Chocolate, Coconut, Cardamom, Rum, and Ginger Truffle

I definitely get the mulled wine with chocolate. Smells like a christmas dessert. I'm guess that's the ginger and the cardamon. The chocolate is pretty natural smelling on the skin, whereas in the imp, it smelled kinda gross. I really don't get any coconut from this which is a shame. Throw seems to stay close to the skin, which I think is a good thing on this one. However, it's not quite for me. I like foodie scents, but this chocolate isn't doing it for me.

    Pink Mood

all anise in the imp and going on. tones down a little when dry but still pretty strong. takes on a more candy scent. Its definitely a creamy anise, from the vanilla note. But there are no florals here to be found...until about an hour later. By then, it's just a light anise note. even still, a light anise note, while interesting, is not really that attractive of a note for a perfume (in my opinion).
  3. thanks. What i meant was pay via credit card with CCNow so at least then I can track when it says harvested or even whatever it says before it says harvested. Right now, if you pay direct via paypal, it's just flying blind in hopes that they received it (yes, usually they do, but some people have had theirs lost). and monitoring the CnS thread is why i'm posting now, since orders placed after mine are being filled. I feel like i have to wait at least another week before I put in an email saying "hey...did you get my order?" in an ideal world, I would have received some notification that it has been received and it is being worked on.
  4. So, I always pay with paypal because I thought that sped up the process because they get INSTANT payment. but is that really the case? With paypal, I have no idea if they even processed my order or anything unless I put in an email to bug them. at least with CCNow I can know whether it's been harvested or not. Should I just use CCNow from now on? (in case you are wondering, i'm a 2/26 order, but i hate not knowing what's going on with it.)

    Bon Vivant

This smells more like a strawberry mixer than champagne on me. So the strawberry comes out a lot more, but I do get a little hint of that champagne fizziness at the end of the sniff. It reminds me a little like alice in that it has that doll/plasticky scent to it. Smells a little fake. But not in a bad way, necessarily. Like I loved the way my strawberry shortcake dolls smelled, but you could still smell that it was plastic. That's what I get from this. Very nice but doesn't last long on me.

    Ephemera

Let's see: I love violet, i love lily, I love rose, and I love autumn....of course i'm going to try this one! I bought this imp from the lab. This starts out as a LOT of violet. yay! Seems like that is a note that really gives me a high. I figure I'll wear it throughout the day and see how it differs from my other violet scents like Le Serpent Qui Danse or Nocturne. . . . Well that was fast. After about 5 minutes, it turns into lily. . . . Another 5 minutes...I think that's the chamomile? very light and delicate. . . . Another 5 minutes...poof! gone! Such a strange blend to me. I never smelled rose or leaves. Everything came in waves. and lasting power was sooooo short. It's worth a try on your skin if you like any of these notes. think it would depend on the chemistry to see which one comes out and how long it lasts.

    Defututa

I had no idea what this word meant, but I could tell this was going to be a sexy scent. This is very reminscent of O to me. Except it has more vanilla in the background. It must be my skin chemistry because there is no jasmine or cinnamon that I can smell. It definitely smells sexy. Just like O, like honey and vanilla and body sweat (the good kind!). Honestly, I think strippers usually wear some sort of coconut oil, but this could be a stripper scent or a sexy madam. The smell of the upscale bordello when you walk in. Throw seems decent enough. I can keep catching whiffs of it without seeking it out. i don't know about other folks around me. And it seems to be lasting for a few hours. But I'm kinda slathering it all over since I'm really loving it.

    Nocnitsa

I don't like wood scents so i wouldn't have gone for this on my own. I got this as a frimp somehow. Honestly, all the other notes aren't my favorite, but it sounds so good. I think this really smells exactly like what you would expect. This is a forest at night. I would say the fir wood is the most prominent note, but I really feel like you can get a whiff of each note. This isn't my style, but I think it would work good for a man.

    Fairy Market

This is pretty interesting. In the imp I can't smell anything! Putting it on, I definitely smell something, but it's hard to make out. The thought of what a fairy market smells like really influenced why I wanted to get this. There's not much to the notes that interest me, but I do like sugar. On the skin, I can't make out any of the notes. It's sweet. There's incense in the background. And florals, but none that I can smell individually. I don't think this is an outdoor market. It smells like a quaint indoor store. I would say, if you like incense smells, you might like this one. It's a little lighter and floral, but it could be right for you if you are in the right mood.

    Deep in Earth

I fell in love with the dirt scent after trying Zombi. I looked it up and found Deep in Earth and just had to get it. in the imp, it's heavy dirt. Not a lot of rose to this. Wet - This is OVERPOWERING rose. and I LIKE rose. It actually made me sneeze a bit. and it took a while for it to calm down. maybe about 15 minutes before it became more wearable. unfortunately, wearable means the dirt smell goes away a bit and it's a nice floral. As others have said, you have to try this if you like Zombi. I think this is stronger than Zombi in terms of throw and lasting power, but zombi has a more prominent rose scent and this has a more prominent dirt scent (after the roses calm down a bit). I will be doing a death match between them because I like them both but they are too similar for me to justify having both.

    Okayaki

Tea with cream and lemon. ew? Won't that cream curdle? Anyway, this is definitley creamy but there is a hint of citrus in the background. I'm surprised that's not a note in this list. It's actually fairly strong when it's wet on my skin. like a really fresh lemon wedge. Maybe it's sitting on the side of the teacup. This is delicate and light but not really floral on me. Not any lily or snow notes in what I smell on my wrist. Doesn't last too long on me. This wasn't originally on my Shunga want list, but I added it after hearing others rave about it. It just isn't working out for me. I find it very unique, but I'm not in love.

    Fae

Fae is another scent I tried in my search for the peach holy grail. If you like peach but are looking for something that is not as fruity, this is a good one to try. I think the musk is the main scent, then the peach and then the oakmoss (which I love and reminds me of the oakmoss in zombi). This scent is very light and doesn't last long, though I'm finding that maybe peach is a scent that my skin eats up. I find it hard for any peach to last long on me. This is one of the lightest though, so while I might death match it against others, I don't think it's going to come out on top.

    The Cup of Death

I am desperately in search of my peach holy grail scent. Most don't last very long on me. And if you want to tell me "josie" it was just way too strong on the magnolia. In this one, I think the sandalwood makes a nice balance to the peach. But peach is still the star here. I'm usually pretty sensitive to lavendar but I don't get any of that in here. This isn't the sweetest peach i've tried, but it did last longer than Titania. Ultimately, this is going to come down to a death match. But I'm thinking Cup of Death has a leg up.

    Embalming Fluid

This scent was never on my list to try until Beth said it was a good gym scent. Not too strong for the gym to be offensive to others but just adds a touch of scent. I think that's pretty accurate. This is mostly lemon. I admit that there is a little "cleaner" feeling that comes out, but it's not bad. I kinda like it. In the end, this isn't my style. If you like fresh, clean, bright, lemon scents, you have to give this one a try.
  15. CitizenBree

    Gluhwein

If i was picking out notes without reading the list from Beth, I would say apple cinnamon, mulled wine, cloves and orange zest. It's very much like my favorite Glade candle that I light during Halloween and Christmas. That might not sound like a compliment, but it is. I really LOVE this scent. But I just don't see this being a perfume oil. This is a scent that to me is reserved as an atmosphere blend. As it dries, more of the honey comes out, but it's still heavy on the cinnamon, which is not a scent I typically wear. I really just want to lick this off my arm. I'm going to hold on searching for a bottle, but if they make it in an atmosphere spray I will for sure get some.

    Uncertain Horror

Sandalwood and patchouli are the most prominant scents in this blend so if you are a fan of either, you should probably give this a try. I am not a fan of those notes, but this blend isn't offensive to me. It has a sexy feel to it, almost like a red musk. I'm a fruity/floral/foodie person so I'll pass on this one.

Beanman & Beanwoman Prepare to Attack the Vagina

This is very fruity to me. Not citrus it's more...nectarine or peach? I'm wondering if it's the musk and amber mixing that gets this way for me. Either way, I LOVE it. Very sexy but not like O or Smut which just smell like sex to me. What sealed the deal on me getting a bottle was someone saying this is a sexier Snow White. I adore snow white and I agree that I get a little of her in this. I would recommend this for someone that likes fruity scents. It might just be my chemistry, but that is the most I get from it.

    Danube

Has almost a lily of the valley smell in the vial. I like florals so I'll give it a try. Once on the skin, it's all aquatic. Very blue/green. Smells like a Yankee candle that would be called Ocean or something. Frankly, I'd like it more if it smelled like the imp. I like florals and I don't mind aquatic scents, but they are definitely not personal scents for me. I associate them too much with candles. This is not for me.
  19. CitizenBree

    Alecto

Vetiver in the vial. On the skin, it's all cedarwood. There's a teeny tiny bit of the fruitiness from the raspberry leaf, but not enough to play well with the wood. Not much else to say except that it smells like fresh cedarwood that was just made into sawdust. Not for me.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

I know I've found a winner when I can't stop smelling myself. This was one of them. I obviously have a thing for violets and this one is no different. It smells a lot like Nocturne to me, which was my very first bottle purchase. This is strong sugary violets. Also a lot like Faith. The vanilla never really warmed up to me but I imagine that's why i got a taste of sugar in this. Overall, this is a huge winner. I love it so much I might have to get a bottle even though I have other violet scents that are similar. I can't help myself.

    Black Lotus

Very sweet and fruity. I definitely get the cherry cola scent but I don't think that's a bad thing. Smelled kinda yummy. Not exactly sure what Lotus should smell like but I didn't get anything to floral. I liked it enough, didn't love it, but it sure did disappear fast on me. For that, I will give it 2/3. If it stuck around longer, it would have been a 3.

    Croquet

This is much more sweet fruity and nectarine than it is straight up citrus. There might even be a hint of citrus towards the end of the sniff, but it has much more of the peachy feel to it on the overall. I wanted to double check my nose because the citrus I smell is more pink grapefruit so I was glad to see that listed as a note. I don't get any lime though. Same goes for the rose. I wouldn't know from smelling but after seeing the notes, I can tell there is bergamot. The life of this imp is unknown, but it's label kinda beat up so maybe this has been aged and this is what happens when it ages. I am a much bigger fan of peachy scents than citrus so I'm more interested in this now that I've tried it than just reading these reviews. It didn't have much of a throw on it and didn't last all that long either. It was all gone about 4 hours later. I love peach so much but I'm having trouble with peachy scents getting eaten by my skin. This was no exception.

    Debauchery

A sinful, licentious scent: self-indulgent and luxurious. Mingled heady civet and red Egyptian musk, thickened with opium. Very musky and incense-y. Definitely get the same thing here that I do with Dragon's Blood. Much like a head shop. It doesn't smell BAD it's just not the kind of scent I want to wear. Smells very generic.

    Nyx

I'm a rose fan, so this looked promising. When I put it on though, it's mostly the rose with some of the jasmine mixed in. If you like those florals, give this one a chance. For me, though, I think I've become so spoiled with Beth's other rose scents that now this one doesn't seem that special. It's very pretty and feminine and if you like florals with rose, you'll like this one.

    Lilium Inter Spinas

Smells heavily lily and apple at first, but then dries down to a general, sweet floral scent. I think the sandalwood cancels out the lily. It's a very fresh scent. Ladylike and feminine. I can see where the soap references come from but it's a really GOOD smelling soap, not just generic soap. I like this for its sweetness. I would probably want to buy a partial of this to have around. I'm going to give it 4/5 stars.
