    Sell me on patchouli?

I second Crowley, if you love leather! And I also recommend voodoo.

    Leather

Haven't we all. Someone told me to try Crowley, then, and he wasn't the same, at all! I also find him much more mild.

    The Fainting Couch Atmosphere Spray

This smells purely of rose water to my nose. It reminds me very much of my MAC rose setting spritzer I use on my face every morning.

    Crowley

This is marvellous! Right off the bat it smelled quite strong and perfumey, but as it mellowed down... Mahogany dancing with leather, mixed with spices. Spicey red leather!

    Lacus Solitudinis

Smoked herbs! This smells of herbs at a bonfire night. The cedar, lavender and chamomile are the most prominent notes in this for me. It actually reminds me of a smokey sleepy time blend. Once dry, the sandalwood comes out to play. Oh, this is just beautiful!

    Red-Spotted Purple

Oh! This is delicious! Wet, it's pure candied grapefruit, with some herbal notes hiding underneath. It is a bit musky as it dries down more... And the carnation becomes pretty strong. Sadly once dry, the grapefruit is more of a background note. It's still quite beautiful! It makes me want to hold onto summer.

    Southern Cloudywing

Smells of spicey, orange tea! I definitely get lots of cardamom and orange peel in this. On the drydown, I get the more woodsy notes. I feel like this is a very autumn scent, and as fragrance lush said, it does make me want to curl up in a blanket, with some tea and a good book.

    Licorice Bats

The smell reminds me of cherry cordials at the beginning. The anise emerges more on the drydown. I'd say to me this smells more of red twizzlers licorice than black licorice.

    Leather

I've sadly fallen madly in love with Quincey Morris....

    Anne Beany

I have both Grog and an imp of this. I have to say, they are quite similiar! Anne beany however is a bit more delicious, still foody and yummy, though. It is more butterscotch and sugary than Grog is.

    The Robotic Scarab

Spicy leather and florals! I have to agree with others who have said they get cinnamon and peppermint notes in this. Definitely interesting, but not enough leather for me. When dry it's still slightly spicy sweet, with faint leather in the background.

    The Antikythera Mechanism

This is a beautifully dark scent! I was frimped this from a lovely forumite The teak wood and oak is very prominent in the vial and when wet, on the drydown the smokey vanilla becomes more prominent... Still quite woody, though. Ugh, this is gorgeous! It definitely is a very sexy, come hither scent,

    Velvet

Wet, this smells very strongly of dark chocolate! As it begins to dry down, I get the sandalwood and vanilla. Have to agree with the above user about this being a fall scent! Once dry the cocoa is actually very faint, and it smells more like woodsy vanilla.

    Goblin Cider

Yum! This smells quite similar to a slow cooker apple jam I had made. There are definitely some darker spices in this cider, smells of ginger and cloves to me. It becomes more apple-y as it dries. Very tasty, delicious apple cider!

    Fairy Bites

Wet, I get a rush of peppermint, followed by the chamomile and lavender. This is a interesting herbal blend. On the drydown the honeysuckle and florals begin to emerg, softening it up with the raspberry. This almost reminds me of a sleepy time blend, and is quite lovely!

    Leather

So, I have fallen in love with badgers and Quincey Morris. Any suggestions for very similar blends which may not be as hard to track down?

    Dead Man's Hand

This is quite masculine I would say, more so than a unisex blend. It's straight up leather wet, but on the dry down I do get quite a bit of that oiliness mentioned! It's the same smell of well worn leather which has been dutifully cared for, oiled, shined, throughout the years. I however find leather to be quite sexy, and the same goes for this!

    Quincey Morris

I get a bit whiff of the fruit notes right st the beginning, and the leather is quite prominent. On the drydown, this is beautiful, definitely a unisex scent. Well worn, soft leather, softened more by the vanilla, and a tense of smoke in the background. Lovely!

    Badgers

I was gifted a decant from a lovely forumite! This is lovely, really. It's very feminine, and for those who are weary of leather I think this would be a wonderful scent to try. It is quite soft, sweet, and beautiful. I would say the sweet honeysuckle and patchouli are the most dominant notes on me, with a backsplash of leather. It's really beautiful! I would love to wear this with a dress and a leather jacket:)

    Iago

Wet, very green musk. The musk is actually quite strong and the most dominant note here. On the drydown I get a bit of smoke, (maybe my nose burned from all the vetiver? ). Sadly I do not get any leather, which I was very much hoping for!

    Miss Spink

In the vial, smells of buttery biscuits! The kind one would serve with gravy. Wet, it smells like buttery biscuits with a hint of floral. On the drydown, the biscuits are definitely still there, but I get more of the gardenia. Yum! I think I prefer this one over miss forcible, it doesn't have the candy-liquorice note.

    The Other Miss Forcible

Once again reminds me of the candies In a old ladies purse, however, drenched with cough syrup and the leftover candies in the bowl which no one wants. I get a bit of smoke in this as well.
  23. doublehelix

    Miss Forcible

I have to agree with the comment about this smelling like an old lady's purse! Imagine a wee old lady, whom before her morning run to the store sprays on her bottle of vintage musk. Inside her purse holds all those candies offered to you in large bowls in shops, or with your bill in a resturant. Buttery Cookies, mints, and a hidden liquorice you would love to eat but cannot find in the havoc of your purse!

    The Other Hot Chocolate

Pure, comforting, creamy milk chocolate! Yes, it's very delicious. If you are a foodie that finds comfort in hot chocolate or a bar of chocolate when your stressed... Or not. You need this!

    Mouse Circus

Wet, I get pure buttery popcorn, and I swear there are some circus peanuts in here even if its not in the description! On the drydown, it's more like buttery popcorn and vanilla, and I get a hint of the candy note. It reminds me quite a bit of Haus of gloi's ghost puffs! Yum!
