Ah Hell's Belle. You are a tricksy one. Ick. I hated you so when i sniffed your bottle. so strong, like old ladies cologne and alcohol. But you turned oh so suductive on me. A hot warm scent. Is is the oleander that gives you that nutty grounded smell? The Magnolias burst with the heady scent that makes you want to close your eyes. You are transported to a hot breezy night in Georgia sitting on a porch swing with a man who's lingering a little too close to your neck and you like it. You know you have power over him. Trust me, you ooze sexual allure and the spice and caramel are just luring him in more. yeah, that's what it feels like. wear with caution.

Eve is pretty. Very sweet smelling oil. The ylang ylang is very prominent out of the bottle and on the skin. Sweet rose comes out but then it turns into lilac. Lilac? I don't know but that's what I smell. Honey is barely noticeable. And I smelled no apple at all. I already have a lilac perfume, but this is still a nice imp to have too.

Out of the bottle it smelled like spiked fruit punch. On the skin I could get the almond and vanilla to come out and WOW TOTALLY ROOT BEER! must be the spicey notes in there, but Root Beer for sure. I'm not a fan of patchouli, but it works in this well with the vetiver giving it an earthy smell. I think the patchouli also allows it to have such a good throw. I came home and went into my room and my mom asked what I was wearing Even though I had only walked through the house, the scent had lingered. Dry it is a really nice spicey sensual scent. might be a bit too powerful for people who don't like strong scents, though

good stuff. Out of the bottle this smelled like Luden's Honey Lemon cough drops. very soothing actually. On my skin I got a musky rose, with a sweeter side that could have been the hibiscus. Can't smell any tobacco or chocolate yet, although there is something grounding it so as not to become too sweetly overwhleming. After a while I could identify the chocolate and tobacco notes. The floweres stayed sweet yet dry. There is almost something masculine about this scent. It's a good scent when you want to feel powerful and in charge. My bf liked it on me. He hates so many smells that it's a pretty good sign.

My first impression: Mike and Ikes candies!!! but wetter, juicier. so sweet and colorful and fruity. this really is a happy scent. as it dries the sweet florals come through to cut the fruitiness down a bit. dusty flowers? something makes my nose tingle a bit. a very interesting blend. not something i'd wear everyday, but when i need a pick me up i'll reach for it. i recommend wearing it on gloomy days. it's such a bright scent you'll forget the sun isn't even shining.

another freebie from the lab. they really have a way of picking things that you'll like. At first i was a little scared by the name and the first impression. It smelled like bathroom cleaner in the bottle But on, it developed this sweet herbal floral with a deepness (must be the dragon's blood but it's hard to describe.) but the dry-down is the best because for those who love clove this is for you. As a child we had a flowerbed with Clove Pinks and I would bury my nose in them. That is what Wolf's Heart reminds me of. A spicy floral that remains fresh and a bit woodsy, not exotic and overwhelming. Another keeper for me.

out of the bottle i smell the coconut right away, but it is not the fake suntan lotion kind. This is more true. The Hazelnut keeps it grounded and prevents sweetness overload. wet on the skin the iris comes out. mmm very nice. It actually reminds me of the Wild Fig scent that Henri Bendel has. *shrugs* dry- pleasant, calming, happy smell. not to sound like a commercial, but this is like a vacation for your senses. Ok I admit I'm a dork.

I am so happy this was added as a frimp my first impression upon sniffing the bottle: CHRISTMAS on my skin it's so warm and inviting and comforting like you are walking into a room filled with candles of different scents like cinnemon, gingerbread, vanilla, bay berry.... I do smell a little floral, which i think is what reminded me of pretty decorative soaps. I really love the spiceyness of this. but it is mellow. I even got complimented on this after I had been on for about 3 hours, so it does have some staying power, well at least on me. I might just have to buy a 5ml of this one.

In the bottle I get this fresh dirt smell. It smells cold like ice covered trees. On my skin I still get that cool smell that makes me inhale deeply like I am breathing some of the freshest air ever. There is something manly and outdoorsy about this. It smells green but there is a nice citrus note in there too that comes out. during drydown the berry comes through, but not plump sunbathed berries. These are ones caught in a frost. Overall a very refreshing invigorating scent.

Ah Sybaris, why do you do this to me? I thought you loved me, but you broke my heart. As one of my most anticipated imps, I was hoping this was going to work for me. In the bottle this had a medicinal shampoo scent. On my skin the first impression was a metallic odor like aluminum foil or as my mom remembers Desitin Baby diaper rash ointment. Drying down I could faintly smell the violets with a tinge of insense but I was reminded by the smells of a dentist's office. Metal fillings. Good thing it works on my mother. It's a keeper for her. And the violets come out beautifully with her skin. I'm not sure what reacted so badly with me, but I'll have to find out so I can avoid it in the future. Usually I really like violets scents. Oh well.

sharp tinge to my nose when i sniffed the vial. Once on I caught a waft of large white creamy gardenias. Overpowering, almost. after about an hour the warmth of the gardenias was still there but I smelled something green herbal mossy even. and something tangy like limes. There is some weird morphing going on. I:m thinking it must have been the lavender melding with the sandalwood. I keep smelling my wrists. It is addicting. this is such a complex scent, yet it is light and airy. I imagine a Surat painting of a tall sophisticated lady walking with a parasol in the park wearing a long white dress with a bustle. this is what she'd be wearing. Cumin? I smelled some kind of seasoning. (maybe this is what others got too when the said salty, peppery, celery) The lavender is still there keeping this cool like a spring breeze, and the sandalwood helps it stick to the skin giving it some depth. on one wrist i can smell violets very strongly on the other i get no violets. How odd is that? The gardenia is nearly non-existant after 5 hours. but I can detect that easy going sandalwood and the purple breath of flowers. I still smell some kind of seasoning though, like i'm in a kitchen with something simmering on the stove and a big bouquet of lilacs and lavender adorns the kitchen table. I do like this but it is a very strange scent. almost like I can't trust it. Wondering what it will do next time. Pull a rabbit out of my wrist? This one trully does magic tricks on the skin. One that definitely is unique to body chemistry.

my boy responded with a "you smell good" to Kali. And I wasn't shoving it under his nose to ask or anything. he just went out and said it. no pouncing as of yet. I'm still experimenting.

I wore Snake Oil for the first time yesterday. This is one of my mom's fave imps. I liked it at first because it was warm with vanilla and a hint of spice, but it didn't make my nose itch. And latley I'e been avoiding my oils because my allergies are making me sensitive to everything. When i came out of my room she goes, "what are you wearing, it smells like one of your dolls you had when you were little" (my Cabbage Patch infant perhaps?) she was surprised that it was Snake Oil cause our chemistries make it so different. I had a couple of my friends smell it. the guys gave it a thumbs up. but one said "smells like baby powder only better" I guess that was a compliment, but i have to admit it did turn into a vanilla powder scent after a while. another one that works well on mommy and not me. harumph. ADDED Nov. 3: this is a strong one. my first impression was vanilla bean milkshakes smothered in spices. but then it changed into the smell of Starship, an clothing store that sells body piercings, incense, and bags made from recycled hemp. (you get the picture) It's nice but my mom likes it better. I guess she can appreciate the Hippy references to it. The nice thing is that is does last all day and it is a nice blend of vanilla and spices.

The first time I tried this I could barely smell it, but it could've been because I was smelling all sorts of other imps just before. Today I swiped both wrists and I got the sweet sparkly scent of the white ginger. very true. breezy in a way. It reminded me of the pefume Avon put out called Haiwaiian White Ginger, only without the icky alcohol smell. It's 3 hours later and I can only smell in if I put my nose right up to my wrist. It's a bit sweeter now and reminds me of candy raisins for some reason. very pretty. I just wish it was stronger and longer lasting.

My first review If Kabuki were a facial expression it would be a sneer, one of those "I got you where I want you" kind of sneers. Out of the bottle it smells like spicey cherry coke. On my skin the musk jumps up and smacks my nose. That is hot and spicey. I can't detect anything but musk for the first few minutes. I have to go blow my nose. this stuff is powerful. Driving to work my car smells all spicey and warm, but kinda naughty too. I can't specifically detect the cherry, but it does have a slight juicey smell, so that must be it. The black licorice smell is there, but it has a bite, not like the innocent Good and Plentys we all know. The Red Musk makes this last. The drydown is pleasant. the musk is not as strong now 3 hours later, and the anise floats around me. still spicey and warm. But still makes my nose a bit tingly and itchy. I love the smell of anise but i think the musky-ness is too powerful for my sensitive nostrils. My Mom simply adores it, though, so I think this will be a keeper for her.

now why on earth was that not on my list when i ordered?? i guess a second list will be in the making...and I haven't even received my first shipment yet.

jumpy figgy wheee. i love figs. I am a big fan of Henri Bendel's scent, Wild Fig. For those that are familiar with it, are there any BPAL scents that are similar to this that you can think of? My sample vile from Bath and Body Works is almost gone edit: yup all used up as of today.
