    Lola Lee Loo

This is Atsui Mono on steroids. Creamy, sweet, figgy, a little smoky - like lightly toasted marshmallows, and WONDERFUL.

    FORMULA UOS1520: Overconfident Hipster

I guess I'm an overconfient hipster...or at least I wish I had this when I was. Puhurmffff. This scent is amazing. Better than the Sweet Life released version through UO. This version is sweeter and stronger. Lusher. Better balanced. More pink, less white. Floral but in a new, young way. The peonies do an amazing job at keeping the white florals in check and the pikake is a great sweet bright note.

    FORMULA SGSG4: Candy Witch

Same here. The pumpkin spice overwhelms my skin and there's a smell of gas station chocolate fudge. I smell like....rue? wolfsbane?....underneath it all when wet. This is so odd. Drydown I get a bit more gas station fudge and the pumpkin spice mellows...but its still a weirdo!

The Tastes of the Duke Were Peculiar

But, in spite of these things, it was a gay and magnificent revel. The tastes of the duke were peculiar. He had a fine eye for colors and effects. He disregarded the decora of mere fashion. His plans were bold and fiery, and his conceptions glowed with barbaric lustre. There are some who would have thought him mad. His followers felt that he was not. It was necessary to hear and see and touch him to be sure that he was not. The swirl of a thousand glittering vices: absinthe and laudanum, opium poppy and neroli, star anise and black currant, whip leather and iron shackles, gilded vanilla flower and King mandarin. This scent is WHOA in a great way. Complex, sophisticated, sweet oriental. So deep that it sucks you in. The whip leather is what ties all notes together. Fans of Loviatar should try this. I can't stop smelling it. Its all the opposites: clean, sweet, dirty, leathery, oriental resinous, feminine and masculine, every color under the rainbow... I'm impressed and forever intrigued.

    Arcus Aortae

Ascending and descending: a cascade of white lily and osmanthus with flutters of red musk. Whattt? No reviews yet? Well, this is a fantastic lily blend, no doubt. Its warm skin, sunshine, and glowing lilies basking in early summer. White lily is smelling like a creamy smoother lily of the valley, hope that helps. The osmanthus makes the whole deal glow golden warmly without disrupting the floral category vibe (I love osmanthus. its this enigmatic golden sweet floral in my mind). Red musk is truly a flutter and is working compliantly in the background like the way it would in a dragons blood blend.

    Black Cat

This was the 1st imp I grabbed from my lab-fresh package. Fitting considering I have two wonderful curious 10 week old boy kittens purposely distracted with the priority cardboard box in order to keep them away from the bpals....Black Cat seems to already have been in effect before it even arrived! Anyways, this is a clean soapy rose with I think myrrh and maybe oppoponax. Smells sleek and clean.

    Come Slowly—Eden!

Ooh. apple that stays apple. and I can actually smell honeysuckle too. Golden floral sweet sunny. Doesn't stick around super long but its worth it!

    Viola

Really nice warm sweet floral blend. Something about the mandarin is making this smell foody...like sweet hawaiian bread or portuguese sweet bread? The tea rose isn't pungent, hence it allows the calla and lilac to balance out the bouquet...but I still get most sweet bread with warm smooth florals. Weird!

    The Complaint of Daphnis

Sweet honey berries and leather? We have some tandeming going on that makes this smell different than expected. There's bright juniper berry notable when wet, but it fades into the honey berries smell. Black musk fades into the leather. Well blended but much lighter and natural cologne-like than expected. Good though!

    Glistening Waterfall

Nice sunny bright green apple floral with true patchouli leaf..that actually doesn't bash into it. Who woulda thunk. Drydown: Its green apple that actually sticks around! Not getting any ammonia or weirdness. Its just green apple, true patchouli and wafting florals. Pleasant summer scent!

    Luperci

2019: This is another year not strong on the patchouli. Wet: smells frankincensey juniperish and floral, like my grandma Nina's perfum. Dry: patchouli root ((not leaf)) and frankincense take over with powdery juniper and oakmoss. The east african musk just gives a bay rum spiciness and honey is not present. Seems everything is lighter and more generally palatable this year? Yet unfamiliar... I see a theme going on...

    Superior Vena Cava

Uhm ok... so this will take a Taurus' skin chemistry to keep the flowers from fading. Starts out lovely lush floral blood musk with all the trimmings. The blood chypre takes over too much and I smell more metallic in drydown. I can see this one's potential! Really! Its just frustrating that the notes boomerang on me. Everything stays present, its in opposite order later though.

    Honey, Hay Absolute, and Amber

I get low throw honey and a touch of amber with a slight suggestion of hay. Less hay than I thought it would oomph, compared to past bpals. I thought I'd be burning the amber torch in the barn on this one. Lovely blend though.

    Pulmonary Valve

This is all carrot seed and white musk on me. Refreshing for the right moment on the right person. Tiny tang of black currant but I'm really stretching the truth on that one.

Twelve Tastes in the Classification of Passion

Wet: a jumble of awesome wet juicy and strange herbal brown notes...? One of the most confusing blind test bpals I've experienced. Thoroughly disappointed in my smelling talent after reading the description, with "oh...that's all. And I couldn't figure it out. :("This is one of those cases where only 3 notes can absolutely baffle me and I realize I would make a terrible "Nose". Dry: mandarin that sticks around longer than all other notes? How does that? Well, clove too. The carnation is the confounder, here- The note that's getting all contorted. Its still hard to identify dry, but after deducing what I could identify..that's it! This is a strange but good, and darker toned mandarin scent.

    Pegasus Junk

Something about this makes me giggle everytime I apply it...to the point that I HAVE to buy a bottle. Smells like shortbread cookies next to white tea, to the unknowing nose! And I can't shake it even after reading the description! I love it.

    Honeyed Amber and Red Currant

Wet, getting a low throw version but its evenly mixed between liquid clear honey over white amber and a splash of red currant. Reminds me of capri sun juice boxbags? When it dries down the currant gets stronger with a warm amber background. I was expecting the oomph of EatMe currant with like strong orange amber wildflower honey over dark reddish amber. That's my fault... this is great in its own right.

    Aerodynamic Junk

Mostly clove and leather with some warm vanilla/sandalwood notes that provide staying power. A pleasing, gothy melancholy, refined, gender neutral scent. I could smell this everywhere I go and not get tired of it. The scent version of how I *wished* my 90's goth self was perceived...but we all know I looked not exactly THAT cool. Ahhh being poor and young!

    Ganymede’s Junk

A lovely floral sandalwood! Mostly smell pink carnation and clove, as my brain neutralizes detection of sandalwood. Soft sweetly green muguet is a lovely addition. All notes are relatively easy to detect on me. Seems dominant notes vary quite a bit depending on the wearer yet everyone is having a relatively pleasant experience. Yay!

    Gargoyle Junk

Wet phase, the frankincense is sweet...smells like hope and fear set free. Drydown, frankincense is even with the rose resin. Rockrose is muted, only a touch of floral brightness. Definite dry stone smell but not overwhelming. Closer to a white marble. Has a dry early autumn feel, like uhhh when you attend a country fair- the smell of the dry dirt walkpath surrounded by acres of grass, wildflowers, hay bales and (yes) rocks. Nicely nostalgic!

    Alleviate the Frenzy

Oooh boy. Sexy peach musk. Slightly commercial perfume sheer sugary amber in the background. I like it in a nostalgic girly way. Something about it smells of the base note in some lighter victorias secret scent lines? Not in a bad way...it doesn't burn my nose! I wish victorias secret could figure out they don't need to put a ton of trash in the background of their scents. Just this. I'd be happy if I left the strip club stinking of this instead.

    Pericardium

Is it weird to say this is what I wish sunscreen could smell like? Vanilla tinted sunscreen sunshine. Please? Anyways, Pericardium kinda has an all natural sunscreen vibe...but this is sweeter and gentler. Floaty summertime vanilla breezes. The perfect outdoor day. This review is getting weirder by the second so I'm stopping now.

    Aorta

Nice addition to the rose category! Fruity, nuanced, gentle, loving. Sweet orange-tinted juicy apricot and slightly tart reddish plum. Gentle deep lush red red red roses merrily alongside the fruit. No bashing here. Like I said...gentle. The vetiver is just an incognito depth supporter and barely there...not an "lets have a vetiver experience now, mmkaayy?" upfront thing. I love when vetiver is used in this manner! My skin eats it and it becomes part of me...synonymous... but I consider that a compliment to my overall energy and aura. Wouldn't you? Not a bad thing at all.

    Low-Hanging Junk

Wet: Huh. I see the fizzy thing everyone is mentioning..but its not bad..? Its about the fizz and smell of that wizardy butterscotch cauldron soda. Mix that with amber incense and there ya have it. Mystical D&D gametime. Dry: Bit of labdanum fizz still around but its good and just smelling more resiny than anything. The warmth of the amber and vanilla is amazing. Tobacco finally came out bigtime. This scent is a lingerer! I agree this will be sought after later. Amber vanilla collectors will be on this.

    Tsubi-Bôzu

bonfire smoke and leather with a touch of leaves and patchouli. Very fall/ deep outdoors. This should be a beard oil.
