    Smut

Smut might as well be magic. seriously.. every review is different! On me: Ever smell Womb Furie? That's exactly how this smells on me. Honeyed musk and spices. Mmmm.

    Now Winter Nights Enlarge

OMG. Never use this but..*humps arm* Seriously, this is pure unghhh. The honey, caramel, and vanilla amp at first, but the nutmeg and musk comes out later in drydown. There's a sweet boozy touch to it as well. Not frangelico strong.. more like aperitif drizzled cake. I attribute this to the ylang ylang and patchouli.. I can tell the champaca is the piece that ties this all together to make it an enigmatic haze of ecstatic sweet joy for me. 10 out of 10. T(this is rare for me, so says a lot...)

In imp and first wet: has a sweet cologne or eau de toilette smell. the aquatic note is clear and fresh. Florals are wild and light green to yellow but hard to pick out mixed with the aquatic note. I can see the first posters's associaton to daffodil or dandelion. Drydown: sweetens & softens. Now a clean sweet floral. These flowers are not coming across as white. If they are, it's of the flowering bush kind... Airy notes are kept. If there's a dash of ozone added, it's slight. Overall: refreshing, inviting, crisp without bite, and soothing.

    Grandmother of Ghosts

Interesting. There's a rose-like dimension to this in imp and wet. Light, opalescent pale pink & green color impression. I get lily, mandarin, and laurel wet and lots of pepper and lily on drydown. Slight wood, but very faint. Interesting but not really me.

    Graveyard Dirt

I'm very thankful that a friend sent me a testable sniffie of this. Pure sweet dirt. The lab's loam note loves my skin. This turns sweeter and sweeter the longer it's on! Mmmmm...I'm in trouble because now I want to find more...

    Lilith

Strange.. maybe because the version I got was aged..? It smells of roses and lotus with slight myrrh. The red wine is not really all that strong. ETA: received a full imp and it's exactly in the order the lab described! I really like it!

    Belle Vinu

Elegant and soothing! I didn't expect to like this as much as I do. In imp and first wet, the peach is strongest, vanilla 2nd, and sandalwood 3rd. Drydown: osmanthus comes out with vanilla, sandalwood fades to the back. I can still smell wafts of peach. Great combination!

    Agrat-Bat-Mahlaht

This is LOVELY. The first day, I tried too many other scents on with, so all I could smell was the caramel. I tried again today and got a full impression. Wet: the apple blossom and caramel burst forth and swirl with cream. It settles after a moment to a floral caramel amber. Drydown: someone mentioned cheap candles but I think it smells like nice cathedral pillars warming a bowl of fragrant caramel surrounded by teak wood artifacts and fresh apple blossoms. Smells wonderful in warm weather as well as cool! Yessssss!

    Womb Furie

Whew.. snake oil I can wear on a daily basis! Regular SO is a bit much for me on most days because I amp it to high hell. This is wonderful... honey works wonders on me. Sweet, slightly floral in that nectar-ish way, light spice, and the vanilla isn't forming a mushroom cloud around me! Yay!

I don't smell sprite, but I do smell mountain dew! I had no idea I could pick out caffeine as a note, but yes, it's possible on this one. Ready for a raid.

Wistful to say the least! I normally flee at the first indication of rose.. but this is great! (I can handle Zombi too but that's it) In imp and first wet: Since my senses amp rose, it's sticking pretty strongly. I can tell there's wisteria & lilac underneath but not much else is popping out yet. Drydown: softer rose with a touch of lilac and lavender and I can tell the amber is warming and sweetening what would be a screeching combination on my skin otherwise. Very pretty and potential for a beautiful signature scent for some out there...

    Gothabilly

Uh ohh.. I found a rare one I like enough to search for a bottle.. great. My sweetheart, a retired gothabilly, couldn't stop himself from opening it to find out what he was suppose to exude all those years. hahahha.. Well actually, he needed my help opening the imp (he was being a bit gingerly for fear of spraying the room) He LOVES it... The cherries in imp and first wet are almost too syrupy and strong but this quickly grows on me then tempers. Drydown, the egyptian musk comes out and I realize that whatever black vanilla is, that's the vanilla for me.

    Romanti.Goth

I felt the same way as gyspyredrose.. before I lost hope, I tried slathering a second layer on there. That did the trick! Ah romance, sweetness, incense, and opium all through a rose tinted lens. That pretty much all I have to say. It's really lovely.

Oooohh. This is hot. I don't normally say that but this warrants it. I love this. Reminds me of hanging out in garages with antique cars & leather seats, gloves, etc... whoa! Then there's something that reminds me of a friend's cottage in upstate NY? Weird!

    Loli.Goth

Effervescent is correct! Pink, girly, and loaded with musky sweetness. In imp and first wet: the peach and strawberry smell fresh and there's a cotton candy sweetness. Drydown: goes sweeter and sweeter on me with a more noticeable touch of wood. Reminds me a bit of CK's Euphoria with the way it balances sweet, musk, and wood. I said to my sweetheart "I smell like a girl!"(wrist extended). His response: "Yuckth..not interested" and he walked away without smelling it. hahaha. He'll like it later if I tell him it's a sexy lady smell. Well, I like it!
  16. Sheol, Gluttony, Samhain, and Snake Oil last super long on me..

    Salomé

This comes across different each time I try it. The first time, almond was prominent. Second time I thought I smelled rose? Hmm. Third time it was the oakmoss and sandalwood that overran everyone. I can't really pin this one down!

    The Great Sword of War

In imp and first wet smells strongly of mandarin and something sugary sweet. Drydown: I smell like a high-end gourmet creamsicle? I can detect the cocoa and tobacco, making this a bit floral and confection-like. The herbs give it a touch of manly cologne too.. but still this could be construed as fancy creamsicle w/ floral honey & lavender pods or something like that. I like it!

    Croquet

Ok this is the one I've been dying to try for months however put off in favor of others.. In imp and first wet: sweet sweet grapefruit and lime. Not orangey, so I don't say "citrus". It's very precisely just these 2 fruits. I say to myself that this reminds me of highschool.. no idea why. I never wore anything like this... Drydown: this gives me a saccharine taste in my mouth. Weird.. Anyways, the throw is big. I can barely pick up on the rose and sage, but knowing the notes, can detect them. The hedgehog musk develops through this period giving it a slippery (I know strange but that's the only way I can describe it) meaty element. End result: Reminds me of combos that would be marketed by a popular lingerie or body product store. Definitely something that would appeal to young women..for good reason.. has a lot of effervescence and perkiness with a touch of seduction. I like it but makes me feel old. hahah

    Lorelei

A bit sharp on my nose in imp and wet. The neroli mixed w/ ylang ylang wet gives a feeling of lovelorn anguish in the form of a piercing cry... Drydown: This sharp combo burns off a bit to allow the sandalwood's sensuality to surface. Rounds out quite nicely. It is a bit more surrounding than direct. The notes are unique and distinguishable enough that I can get recognizable whiffs after it settled however never overpowers.

    Gluttony

Whoaa. I tried this at work the other day. It just keeps going and going... the throw is crazy strong. Smells exactly as described. The notable uniqueness, for me, is the addition of hops. Actually gives dimension ..and me a bit of dementia.. .

Frimp from the lab.. (nice) I kinda like this! I haven't smelled the original Embalming Fluid yet so can't really compare as to what's missing or added.. Wet: a pouf of aftershave consisting of bay leaf, lavender., and some herb like thyme or sage? Not the synthetic modern kind of aftershave or old spice. Actually pleasant.... Drydown: lime, weird distilling chemicals that come off a bit like gin (reanimating agents and embalming fluid combo I suppose) and wafting flowers + herbs. A fun curious unsettling scent!

    The Lion

Mmm... sweet spicy amber. Perfectly comforting and soft. I feel like I just wrapped myself in a blanket. Same from imp to drydown. The spice element smells like nutmeg or allspice. Edited because it copied my text twice... again? strangeness...

    Siren

Whoa ginger! I can't really detect anything else in imp or wet. Drydown, I smell like ginger beer. Bf says he can smell a little of the jasmine and vanilla.. but my sniffer is blocked or something.. will have to try again later. ETA: 12/18/2010 ok so I realize now that I'm starting to dislike warmer months for a couple reasons. One being: the organic smells from outside are overwhelming (I'm in maine after all) so it blocks my ability to smell things properly. Nothing but top notes got through during summer. I became a light fruity scent addict. It almost made me cast away 2 of my stronger favorites: Eos and Josie. This scent smells pretty great. I would have disregarded it if the lab didn't just sent me 4 frimps of it. It is a wonderful compliment to the crisp air and rich winter dirt & snow smells going on outside right now. Plus I bet my now husband will have more to say about this rich vanilla ginger beer concoction. It's one of his favorite drinks after all!

    La Petite Mort

In imp and upon application I smelled a powderiness.. hesitant.. fearful.. is there a hidden rose or 2 in here? then poof! gone. Wet: I can see the O association. This is O amped and refined. O 2.0? Mmmm. I like it more! Drydown: lingering ylang ylang and myrrh mixed with sweet honeyed skin musk.. awesome!
