Wet: vetivert and apricot with a touch of red currant. The vetivert is making the sweet notes smell a bit like bile.. Drydown: the vetivert has passed! It's a miracle! I can smell all the sweet notes in order, now. Vetivert hanging in the background giving it a woody green smoky note. Not bad when dry. Not my cup of tea but not bad.

omg.. I had trouble placing the smell when wet, but the 1st poster has an accurate association.. wet band-aids.. mixed with apple. It's very medicinal. However, drydown it disappears, but so does the rest of the scent, left with a faint apple smell. Weird!

Exactly as described. There was a pouf of grapefruit and lotus at first but after it settled, all notes are in order and rounded out. Sharp sweet fresh citrus, like I just busted open a sweet grapefruit and poured champagne into it. Mmmm

This is the first scent that, on first whiff, I exclaimed that it exactly emotes the name. Musky lavender fougere with round citrus and lilac, when wet. The lime is more definable on the drydown. Strong, sinister and evil, but refined, smooth, and beguiling!

Wet: this smells exactly like amber resin chunks! Awesome. Finally a blend that smells purely of TRUE amber. Drydown: I smelled a golden floral note for a second, but that disappeared shortly. I smell a slight touch of cedar, not as strong as everyone else. This is pretty much straight up true amber. I love it but it doesn't have any lasting power!

Ok,, definitely gritty and gray, but this is a little wet on me and smells a touch of damp stone and ashes, like someone dowsed a campfire with water. (oh man I saw someone else said the same thing just now!). There's wet dirt, and dr. pepper at the start too. As it dries, I smell wet gray stones and wet dirt with lingering black smoke. and Dr. pepper still...? Interesting.

very cologney wet. I was disappointed at first. after it dried down, it was AWESOME. english leather and tonka and a touch of parchment.

I'm starting to think the lab has psychic abilities, like some non-denominational Santa... or something stranger than that. Someone suggested this as a match for my wedding dress. (btw.. getting married this Friday) I replied woe-ing about how I had just placed an order and was upset I didn't notice this one! Weeeiiirrrddd.. Wet: the combo is making the apricot smell very fresh. I mistook it for peach before looking at the description! First impression without looking: white musk and peach with a touch of orange. Drydown: nice blend. reminds me of LaVague a bit. The notes stay the same. Not long lasting however.

This morning's reviews are full of whoas. Wet: pure honey caramel with a touch of cognac and musk. I read mixed reviews of this and decided I had to order it for myself. This is a favorable outcome to say the least. The sexy scents love my skin, fortunately. Drydown: same with a touch of patchouli. I can tell the tuberose and geranium are lifting and rounding this out, but I can't say I directly identify them. this is a great blend!

Can't say I even remember seeing this one, so thanks for the frimp, lab! Wet: arm away from nose, I smell something rosey? This is strange.. Oh wait, there's violet in this being distorted by cinnamon. That's it. Drydown: this has to be the weirdest, most undefinable scent I've received yet. The mix of these 3 ingredients is so confusing that I can't identify any elements on a blind test! But seriously, it smells nice. A bit powdery, green, floral, and sweet. I balanced but powerful masculine blend. Men, go forth and confuse!

Whoaow! Great frimp from the lab. I always looked at this one but never ordered it. Wet: pennyroyal is strong here, rooty, green and bittersweet. Drydown: the pennyroyal has burned off a bit leaving an effervescent minty lavender. Ironically pain is quite soothing! This could honestly be added to the Somnium set very easily.

Whoa thanks for the best frimp I could have received out of rappaccini's garden, lab! First applied, I smell wine. Kinda more muscat than red. There's a big swirl of dark red opium, plus deep lush orchids & broad green leaves. Drydown: opium and a small amount of greenery and wine. Very languid and liquid. Sigh...

This starts off with a slight grapey note when away from my nose..? Hmm. Well that died down. This is a great light tobacco blend. Like naughty, refined men just escaped the back room of a hideaway, leaving remnants in the air of their presence. The musk and ambergris takes over in the drydown, with a buttery pepper background. Started off as sexy as perversion, but it fades quickly and morphs significantly. Not bad but could use a touch of white musk or something to amp it and keep it around. I would use this as a complimentary scent to Perversion, to add complexity to it.

Much more sugar than expected if you're looking at the description. Fortunately I read reviews beforehand. This is lovely. sugary wild flower daisies and a touch of carnation. I don't get any pink pepper but that's good because pepper and me don't do well. Very girly!

The lab was nice enough to give me an extra frimp of this. Glad they did. It's going fast. Wet: first hit by butter and sugar with a slight almond back. Drydown: clove comes out strong with sassafras and rum. the butter and sugar has burned off leaving a deeply spicy blend that reminds me of an archipelago candle I used to own. Nice and aromatic. More atmospheric than foody to me.

Very fresh and clean without be astringent or powdery. I just came from wading around in ocean water at sunrise and this is the perfect compliment to that. Soft, sweet, blooms. Smells like how you want to feel after leaving a salon... Renewed, glowing, and fresh to the world. Oh wait... this is much less expensive and way more guaranteed to please than a salon.

Strange. Toasted rye wholegrain bread, black tea leaf, salty butter with heavy double cream and a pouf of sugar. I totally get marble or wholegrain rye out of this instead of sweet baked bread. Very interesting. Not something I really want to smell like, but interesting.

Warm, sweet, nutty, spicy. The skin musk smells a bit more like Egyptian musk when first applied. the spices are strong a first as well, Drydown, the spices and musk pouf mellows and smells a bit similar to O just spicier. Lovely

In imp: sharp bitter cedar and resins. Wet: pure frankincense and myrrh swirl about in a big cloud Drydown: frankincense and cedar are still there. the cedar is stronger now. I smell something a bit piney. I like this more than I thought I would!
-
This has been on my list since I started buying imps but it's taken me this long to actually commit. Wet: Honey and red wine hit first. I can smell a swirl of wet floral in the background but, as usual, myrrh is waiting it out. Very womanly, very sweet. Drydown: red wine tends to amp on me.. it and the myrrh are dominant. the flowers and honey have subsided. nice blend. Not really bottle worthy, but a nice experience.

Oops.. completely overlooked the cardamom part. The rest of the notes start off strong and lovely, however cardamom took over with a peppery spicy bite. Too bad...
-
Hmm.. Wet: Got the same as many: lime sugar and pear but with a touch of tea. Drydown: same but I can smell a bit of mugwort. It's a pleasant scent overall. Light, sugary, green/white color impression.

Wow. Blown away by the throw and longevity of this one. Sweet cherry, white and red musk with *glowing lavender* and baby smooth redwood. Even though redwood is listed at the top, it's not running the show. I got a frimp from the lab with my bottle of perversion.. this labbie is veerryy smart with their matching... King of Hearts has similar complexity and hits the nose identically with it's cascade of notes.. just different notes!
-
In imp, I smell something similar to the cologne mix they use in stuff like herbert west, lysander, wilde.. with some mandarin and honeydew. Wet: neroli & green mandarin with the musk are amping on me(typical wet dominant notes)with an undernote of wood and melon. I guess the wood note mixed with freesia, citrus and musk is giving me the bpal fougere thought. Drydown: Oooh this is where it's awesome. Waiting for the citrus to mellow is well worth it...Order: musks, slices of sweet melon, freesia, warm wood, and an echo of the citrus' former roar.

Hmm. this is mostly candy floss and sweet lemon candy with vanilla on me. People mentioned sweet and acai berry smells. I'm jealous!
