    Pain

In the bottle: Minty! Peppermint with something a bit muskier rounding it out. On my skin (wet): Definitely still mint, my brother told me I smelled like a candy cane after discovering that I was not, in fact, brushing my teeth... Drydown: Mint softens down, a little of a playdough sort of herby scent comes out... I've never smelled lavender act like this, so I'm assuming it's pennyroyal! Verdict: Smells like candy canes, but dies down really quickly on its own. I'd wear this when I want to feel clean and wintery, or to clear my mind. I'll use the imp up eventually, but I probably won't get a 5ml bottle.

    Marquise de Merteuil

In the bottle: Tutti frutti bubble gum with a hint of a sharper fruit note. On my skin (wet): Reminds me of apricot oil, a bit of a spiciness, hard to place exactly what kind of spice though... Both my female cats left the room after I put this on! >_> Not sure what that means, I liked it you guys! Drydown: More fruity/floral spice comes out, a bit of an apple note? Something sharp that renders it cruel, bold. Verdict: Very nice scent! Sophisticated and intriguing with a veil of something a little darker. Must be why my cats didn't like it, haha...

    Black Dahlia

In the Bottle: Strange, medicinal cherry with an almost patchouli undertone... is this the black amber? On my skin (wet): Truck stop toilet air freshener... This goes away quickly. Drydown: Softens to a sweeter scent, dark florals come out more, the musk warms and develops nicely into a clean smell. Verdict: Strange and interesting at the beginning, very nice scent otherwise. Makes me think of pinstriped pencil skirts and deep red gentleman's ties.

    Wanda

In Bottle: Very alcoholic, I've had people swear I'd opened a bottle of wine upon opening this. On my skin (wet) Still alcohol, some other herby note comes out, along with the faintest hint of blood red rose? Drydown: Alcohol gives way completely to rose and a soft leather note, eventually becomes more of a leathery, musky, rose bouquet. Clean but dirty. This woman is in control! Verdict: My body doesn't normally amp the rose this much! I originally got this as an imp with my first order, and at first thought the smell too strong. My initial thought had been "Oof! Gypsy whore much?" But I grew to love it once I discovered its power in smaller doses So much so that when I lost my imp at a convention, I just HAD to get a 5ml! It stays with me all day long, hugs close to my skin, and it works so well with my body chemistry. Smells especially yummy around my chest Perhaps because it warms up more there.

    Les Bijoux

In the bottle: Definitely a honeyish undertone which is very rich and sweet, flowery peach tone gives it a brighter topnote. Pretty girl natural. On my skin (wet): Becomes almost musky, the honey warms up and gives it that afterglow tone Drydown: The honey musk is very nice! Like powder on a woman's skin. The peach takes on this nectar scent. The description in the poem is pretty dead-on for me! Verdict: Very lovely. A nice go-to scent when I want to feel quietly sexy and pretty in a more adult way.

    Akuma

Devilish temptation, as sweet as sin: blood orange, neroli, and raspberry. I received Akuma as an imp with my first order in November, and am just now reviewing it! Haha, and since I have a willing victim, I am trying it out on her as well to compare the chemistry. In the bottle- A heady, almost soapy scent. Think of those shaped decorative soaps you find in elderly womens' bathrooms. On my skin- turns to fruited incense, a hint of smoke? Where is that coming from? On her skin- strong floral My drydown- Earthy floral, hint of a sweet fruit in the background... almost decaying floral. O.o Her drydown- sweet, honeyish afterscent... VERY faint. The scent is interesting, but it isn't quite one of my favorites... the decaying note does it for me. It was too flowery for my friend. We were both surprised at the lack of orange scent- when we asked a third opinion from my brother, he said it almost smelled like grape soda more than orange OR raspberry. Very interesting!

    Peach Moon

In the bottle- I took a big first whiff and Holy Jasmine, Batman!- I could almost taste it! But then on the second and third *delicate!* sniffs the peachiness came out, not a foody peach but peach blossoms. On my skin- Initially it was almost a powdery floral, which surprised me. My mother could smell it from the kitchen, which was odd because I could smell it only when I had my wrist right under my nose. Drydown- Warm, soft floral musk. Sitting under a peach tree on a moonlit night. Very nice But barely any throw on me. It definitely clings to my skin. Perhaps I AM the peach tree in the moonlight... 8D Verdict- Love the scent, I can't pull my nose away from my wrist long enough to type complete sentences! It certainly makes me feel elegant and naturally seductive. *sways her branches in the evening breeze* Note- My younger brother even found the scent nice, and he's not a perfumey type of person! I took this as an EXTREMELY good sign.
