    Honey, Tuberose, and Vanilla Sugar

I was so afraid of the tuberose and judging by the fact that I’m the first reviewer, I don’t think I’m the only one! Heady florals usually do not work for me. They turn sour or soapy or just smell like I imagine Blanche Deveraux smells after a long, sweaty rendezvous on the lanai; a genteel older lady but slightly less than fresh. This tuberose actually behaves itself beautifully on my skin though! It smells warm and creamy, any sharp edges have been gently rounded off. Its presence just barely keeps the honey and vanilla sugar from going too far into foodie territory. I’m surprised by how much I like it!

    Honey Marzipan

Honey almond pastry. It’s warm, sweet, simple, and exactly what you want it to be. Reminds me slightly of baklava made with honey instead of syrup, or an almond bear claw. I can see myself wearing it solo but it probably also layers nicely with scents that need a little sweetening.

    Ghost Milk

My skin trolls me frequently and sadly this blend full of sweet, creamy notes that should work perfectly for me is no different! No ginger or gingerbread in the notes and yet, the first and only strong scent I get, from application to dry-down, is sugared, slightly lemony ginger. No milk (although that may add to the sour edge), no marshmallow, no white chocolate. Maybe a little honey but it’s not prominent enough to be recognizable beyond just reading as warm and sweet. It’s a fairly wearable spice scent for me, which is rare because my skin amps spices all to hell, but it’s not quite what I was hoping for.
