This ended up smelling exactly like White Chocolate and Sugared Violets from the Lupes in the imp, which gave me hopey hope of hopeness. But then the lettuce, oakmoss, and coconut decided to make my life hell, and ganged up on the more delicate florals and made them all watery on my skin. Gonna chalk this one up to skin chemistry, sadly, but it could've been awesome.

In the imp, this was honey and a strong slap of vetiver, and much the same on my skin, though the vetiver ended up domming the hell out of the scent. Not quite for me.
-
Pear and quince in the decant, but the ginger turns it into a SweetTart sort of scent on me; powdery fruit, and it fades quick. Not quite for me, and I like Sugar Skull better, methinks.

Thanks to Ellebelle for helping me try this! Initial sniff gives me sugary florals, definitely similar to Fairy Market. On my skin, this is definitely some kind of bright floral, but I can't quite place it, and the sugar's further underneath. Hrm. There's a definite sugar note, but it's buried under a soapy floral and incenseish note. At least I don't have to worry about falling for another BPALicorn!

Thanks so much to Ellebelle for letting me try this! Initial sniff gives me white amber, vanilla, and white musk, kinda a cousin to Joyful Moon. On the initial skin test, I'm getting the white musk and amber. Mmmm. But it seems to be going a touch funky... Gonna keep an eye on it. Or a nostril, rather. Ends up going straight into Funkytown, and I think it's the note that turns to plastic on me in DP and Snow White.

This? This is sexy sexy sexy bakery sex. Of sex. Wonderful mix of baked goods and just oh god I'm going to go roll in this forever now, BRB.

Spicy marshmallow at first that dries down into faint marshmallow. Eh, not quite for me, unfortunately.

My Spanked tester for Halloween, cause I'm going to a Rocky Horror showing, and what else would be appropriate?

Seaside hanky panky: a strumpet’s red musk with a merry splash of root beer, a swirl of exotic pipeweed, and a whiff of sweets carrying over from the boardwalk.
So much thanks to my pickup angel; it finally arrived here Japanside! In the bottle, it's a sweet blend of red musk and root beer. Unfortunately, on my skin, it takes on a salty fake butter popcorn sort if note. We'll see if it lessens any, but my gut is telling me it's not gonna. -
Rimmon Soap
in Suds
Smooth, slightly dark lather, what with the beautiful purple and black swirls, and a good pomegranate scent. Nice, but not anything I absolutely need more of.
-
Amazing, wonderful, glorious hard apple cider, wonderful lather, leaves my skin feeling wonderful. Multiple backups, no questions asked.

I'm getting mostly honey taffy and marshmallow out of this, which unfortunately does take a plasticy edge on my skin. It's a good soap, it's just not one I think I'm going to need a backup of. A bit of the frutier edge comes out in the drydown, but it's not quite enough to save it.

In the bottle, this is sugary, tart green apples. Smells so good. On my skin, again, sugary green apples, with a hint of the cinnamon and the bourbon vanilla. Mmmm. Dries down to a juicy, luscious sugary apple and vanilla scent. Totally beautiful and fally.

Cool apple and cranberry that sadly decides to go sour on me. Worth a try, but is sadly nt my thing. Ah well.
-
Whoever compared this to Crunchberries got it right on the head. Crunchberries, soft cerealy berries. Not quite my thing.
-
Yeppers, red musk all right, a bit creamier and a touch of honey, but still, almost Red Musk SN, and it's a touch too strong and sharp for me. Pass.
-
Coffee, sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin, though the last two take prominence for a bit before lettign the rest out. Not out and out getting the vanilla, though that might be taking the edge off the COFFEE. Second skin test, fo sho.
-
Beautiful. Sugary blackberry initially, then turns into soft fluffy spicy pumpkin. Definitely getting a second skin test.

I should really just stop with the aquatics. Or try to figure out what the exact combination in Egle is that makes it so awesome. Aquatic cologne with greeness. *SIGH*

Golden vanilla and gilded musk, stargazer lily, white sandalwood, grey amber, elemi, orris root, ambergris and sea moss.
This vanilla has been sold to me as one of the end-all be-alls of BPAL. So, my expectations may be a touch high going into this.
In the imp, I'm getting lily and ambergris. ...Vanilla is where? On my skin, this is, again, lily and ambergris, with vanilla seemingly nowhere near here. We'll see what it does. The grey amber and the white sandalwood along with teh orris and the ambergris make this a soft, powdery thing, but, no vanilla. Not my thing. -
This is something that's been on my to-try list for a while, and hey, now that it's fall and that I'm also ordering the soap from the Post, figured it was high time I tried it.
In the imp, warm, spicy, buttery pumpkin, with a touch of peach, mebbe? If this is what the soap smells like, I may need to put in for a backup order for it before it goes down. On my skin, pumpkin and clove and nutmeg and a touch of peach. Oh, wow, instant second skin test for this baby, and possibly putting in a backup order for a bar or two with Puddin'.

In the imp, I'm getting honey and chamomile, along with a touch of what's either tonka or hyssop, can't quite tell. On my skin, honey and chamomile, and honestly, very similar to Door, only without the note that makes Door so wonderful, and fading a bit quickly. Basically ends up being Door but without the deeper note that makes me love Door so much, so, pass.

In the imp, this is beautiful. Bright, crisp, musky apples and flowers with a touch of dragon's blood underneath. On my skin, it's much the same, and just absolutely beautiful. Definitely going straight to a second skin test.

Again, could've been awesome, but the trees and grass ganged up on the florals and made it smell like my personal allergy hell. Urgh.
