  1. My god, this is gorgeous AND complex. The florals (most prominent are lilac and rose) temper the evil sweetness of the black plum, usually a death note for me. However, here this is lovely. The plum and berries are delicious, and the smoky opium is one of my favorite notes, too. Here it just lends the blend a spicy kick. Lovely. I want a bottle of this!

  2. Like the former reviewer, this is ENTIRELY buttery pancakes with golden maple syrup. I get no hint or fruit or berry anywhere. The "pancake" note is rather dry and not as sweet as the lab's "cake" note. The throw of this seriously smells like pancakes baking. It's crazy. Up close, I do get a little bit of the nasty bisquick note people have mentioned. SIGH. However, I do love this scent and I am keeping it for the throw alone which is SCARILY authentic.

  3. I get a lot of skin musk and faint rose, lilies, and some other weird florals I can't identify. This is pretty, but very light, much lighter than I expected. I think if I had tried this when I first got into BPAL I would have loved it. I *like* it but I don't know if I need a big bottle of it. I'll hang onto my imp, I think.

  4. This is luscious. I get ALL the notes, even the sandalwood which makes me :wub2:

Wet: mostly bourbon vanilla with a slight caramel undertone

Ten minutes later: luscious caramel, benzoin, and the florals. so light and beautiful.

Drydown: delicious caramel and warm, dry, EXPENSIVE sandalwood. the sandalwood also gives it a slightly infernal quality

I love the sandalwood in this blend and this is simply just MADE OF WIN. I need a 5ml of this.

  5. Something creamy and peachy. The creamy element smells completely foreign and I'm guessing that is the rice flower, since I know what all the other notes smell like. This is utterly lovely! However, like all the Lab's fresh, light florals, it fades far too quickly.

Another thing, too... this perfume isn't so much evocative of a sinful love affair than it is a virginal blushing bride or something like that!

  6. This is a beautiful scent. Very sweet, almost candyish, misty evergreen scent. This is very beautiful, but I don't detect ANY rose! This is being swapped as we speak, because it's just not really me. but I can see why this scent is so beloved-- it IS gorgeous!

  7. This is surprisingly... good. It doesn't smell much like leather, but I do love that note, whatever it is. It's very difficult to describe. It smells black. This smelled more like what I thought "Black Rose" would smell like.

  8. I smell the full-bodied Rose from Peacock Queen and a lemon-y, citrus note. That's about... it. It's nice, but I like Peacock Queen better, and they're VERY similar. Smell identical upon drydown.
