hrrm i dont know if it's the opium or the poppy, but ive noticed scents with these 2 tend to turn into a typical hippie perfume incense scent on me. which i guess is fine for some people, but it's just not my kind of thing. i suspect it is the opium, as i recall having opium scented incense in high school that reminded me of this.

ooooh this one is a subtle, warm floral. i normally like dark dusky spicy florals, but from time to time i like a softer one such as pele. i think i smell the pikaki and some sort of added softness, almost gives me an amber feeling, but it's not that strong. this is definitely a summer scent- very delicate and pretty.

there's something in this that doesn't smell quite right on me. it could be the rosewood, as i think it didn't work on me in another scent. it smells kind of sweet, but herbal and reminds me of a commercial perfume. it gives me a headache, which is too bad, because i love bergamot and many of the other notes, but this just gets incredibly strong and overwhelming on my skin.

oh the sandalwood (with a hint of chocolate) is so strong it gives me a headache. and i think that's all i can smell in this scent. i think i'll go wash this one off unfortunately. trying again 18 years later: dusty, woody cacao. i appreciate this more now but it's still kinda too woody for me.

i am normally not a friend of peachy/apricot scents, or fruity scents in general, but this combination sounded so nice, i had to try it (while hoping the other scents would temper the apricot a bit.) the apricot is apparent, but melds very beautifully with the other scents. yerevan is a bit spicy and warm, and i see it as a hot summery desert scent. i'm not sure i'll keep this, but i am tempted to, as it is the first bpal apricot scent that has worked on me! it would be something i would wear once in a blue moon though.

i got this as an extra in a swap. i've never tried civet and am not a big fan of patchouli. needless to say, entropy doesn't like me. it smelled like roses and bad breath, which i assume is the civet, but can't be sure. i'd never smelled anything else like it though, so i am pretty sure it's the civet. it was one i had to scrub off my arm.

oh man, i was almost completely sure i'd love this one. alas, the caramel is way too strong for my liking. all i can really make out is the asian spice, caramel, black currant and amber, i think. it smells VERY foody and a bit smoky-fruity on me. it doesn't smell bad by any means, it is really just not 'me'.

i'm not big on neither peach nor patchouli. this was a frimp from the lab, and nothing i would've ever chosen for myself. still, it DOES smell better than i thought it would! but it's too sweet for my tastes, so off to the swap pile!

i think i mostly get the lemon peel, lavender and bergamot. it's a bit too masculine in a way that i dislike. a bit sharp and soapy. once the leather came through i liked it a bit more, but i just don't think it's for me. and i love all those notes (except patchouli).

yay another patchouli scent i can wear! (which is a rare thing i tell you.) masquerade is warm, spicy and a bit earthy. i loooove carnation and orange blossom, and luckily, mixed with those notes, i can handle the patchouli in this. it's warm and has a bit of a bite to it which i love!

at first i get a coffee-like smell. then it smells exactly like a strawberry shortcake doll. fruity is totally not me. but it's interesting nevertheless!

this is a sweet fruity-floral, i dont get much spiciness at all. it has a similar quality to something in ides of march, and the both give me a headache. which is too bad, because the description is just lovely! off to wash my wrists profusely.

this is icy and piney on me. since i havent tried to many other snow/pine scents, i cant really compare like many people above have. but it's a neat scent. i find it to be pretty gender neutral, and cold and crisp. maybe an ozoneness to it? but im not sure if i exactly know what the ozone note is, but it smells snowy, icy, airy and piney to me. it's very pretty.

this reminds me A LOT of bbw warm vanilla sugar, but with a more icy tone, than the warmth. other than that it smells very similar. creamy but a bit cold. airy and snowy and creamy. a lovely winter scent. are we allowed to edit reviews? i just re-tried this after many months and this is my new take on it- the first time i tried this i thought it smelled great. i dont know what happened but now it smells positively gross. like wet soggy musty cardboard mixed with rotting cookie dough.

this is a warm spicy fruity-floral on me. when i first put it on it is way too strong and i believe the patchouli (which i often dont like) and the cassia come out as the strongest notes. cinnamon generally doesnt work on me, so this one didnt either. it doesnt smell bad at all on me, it's just not my cup of tea...too earthy and cinnamony. as it dries i smell more of the tonka/plum and i like it more, but it's still not really my thing. i also get a soapy tinge as it dries down.

i so wanted to love this one...i love many of the leather scents. when it first hits my skin it smells really good- leather plus tobacco-warm scents, but as it dries it turns to powdery leather, which is no good. maybe it was the incense? i'm not sure, but i was very sad when the leather faded and a powdery scent took over.
-
i looooove orange blossom (but mostly dont like patchouli), so i was excited about this one. i love the orange blossom, but the patchouli/ginger combination makes for a somewhat powdery-patchouli orange blossom scent. i had hoped the patchouli would have been mellower, and then maybe i would have liked this one better.

i got this as a frimp from the lab- this is not my usual type of scent. this is a light, sunny and watery floral. i think perhaps the sweet pea comes out too much on my skin, because i would think the carnation would spice it up, but that doesn't seem to happen on me. it reminds me of jasmine/honeysuckle, which are too light and sweet for me. i was sure at least one of those notes were in there, and i was surprised to find that they werent!

for some reason this reminds me of a cross between london and/or marie and glasgow. there's no rose in the description, but i swear i smell something similar. it's closest to glasgow but a little more complex and less berryish. also with a little more oomph. i thought maybe it was too sweet at first but now it's really grown on me.

Nostalgia encapsulated. A soft, wistful blend of dry flowers, aged linens, and the faint breath of long-faded perfumes. this smells like soft florals, vanilla and 80s musk. i think that's the aged linens, i'm not sure. though i like this scent, i'm not sure it's really "me". will have to try again. 2017 version: this is very vanilla-y. i can't remember if original antique lace smelled like this because i tested it so long ago, but i do get mostly vanilla and the aged linens. the vanilla in this turns a bit plasticky on me. i don't seem to get any florals. i think there may be a soft musk in this as well.

i got this as a frimp from the lab- not something i normally would have chosen. not that i don't like lavender, i just don't wear it in perfume much. this smells like lavendar + something herbal, which is the pennyroyal, but prior to this i'd never smelled pennyroyal. it seems all most grassy-minty-tea like. but not minty in the traditional sense. it smells better as it fades, but then my skin eats this one right up.

i got this as a frimp from the lab, which is nice because it was on my wishlist! this is a beautiful warm and sweet scent. very summery. on me it smells like florals and amber- not sickly sweet florals but warm and summery, kind of tropical, and the amber warms up the florals nicely. definitely a keeper, if not a big bottle purchase.
-
this is spicy, but in a kind of foody-exotic way, but not TOO foody, or else it wouldn't be for me. the cinnamon doesn't overpower, as it often does on my skin, which is nice. this reminds me somewhat of desire, but without the patchouli/floral aspect, and is less deep. i can sense the skin musk, which adds a bit of sexiness. so all in all it's a warm, subtly sexy scent. very nice.
-
ooh, another (of the few) honey scents i can wear! this is very faint, it seems to fade fast, which is my only complaint about it. on my skin it smells like lemon, tea, milk and ginger. like a lighter and less sweet and cakey dorian. but it kind of gives me a similar feel to dorian. i love this one!

none of the other xmas descriptions really wowed me, but when i saw stardust, i ordered it immediately. besides sounding like an interesting scent, i <3 glam rock, so i HAD to order this. at first stardust smells like hairspray and slightly sweaty skin (not in a bad way), then the champagne and florals come out. it kind of reminds me of the final net hairspray i used when i was younger. it then dries down to white musk + florals + a hint of hairspray. i really like this a lot, yay!
