oh WOW this is so much more beautiful than i ever expected. it has a sort of "classic" scent to me, yet is very original at the same time. sniffing the imp i smell mostly lavender with something else lurking beneath. i know at some point i have smelled another perfume similar to this. at first the lavender is strongest, but once the sharpness of it fades away, the tobacco and musk come out. there is also something sort of floral in here that i cant put my finger on. perhaps it's the golden copaifera. a crisp musk scent, this one has shot to the top of my favorites instantly

my sun is in aries and moon/rising in capricorn. venus is in aries and mars is in cancer. my chart is mostly firey, and the other elements are pretty balanced. i tend to like spicy florals and 'floral-orientals' the best. however, straight spicy scents don't really do much for me. i like a lot of florals especially rose, carnation and violet, but tend to dislike most of the white florals. i love coconut, amber, incense, and citrus. i don't really like most aquatics, foody scents or super-earthy scents. bpal's aries didn't work on me, but i quite like mars with the orchid it has.

i really wanted to love this one, it sounded right up my alley, scent-wise. however, my skin amps up the plum which can be hit or miss on me. i LIKE this scent, i just don't love it. i was hoping more for a rose-vanilla scent with a hint of plum, but instead it's a strong plum with warm florals in the background, which is pretty, just a bit too fruity for me.

this one smelled just like smut to me, minus one component. i definitely get red musk, but it is difficult to pick out any other notes. i really love it though, actually a bit more than smut. it's very warm and sexy. i tried a friends' imp and havent been able to actually test it out myself, but hopefully i'll be able to soon.

unfortunately, this one did not work on me at all. i think red wine-honey combos generally don't fare well on my skin. bpal's wine note often works on me but there are instances when it doesnt, and this is one of them. i smell something almost foody, but not in a sweet way, mixed with a sour wine. unfortunate, as he description of this one intrigued me.

this is similar to embalming fluid but with a little something added...musk perhaps? which adds a slight warmth that embalming fluid does not have. i like this one but don't love it.

i got this as a sniffie in a swap i get mostly herbs, myrrh and woods, and maybe some jasmine. not much orchid, sadly, which i love. this is very woody-resiny on my skin and is really just not my style.

this has a fresh springlike quality to it- it's a very bright grassy-floral when first applied. i sense something soft like phlox but perhaps it's some sort of musk. as it dries, the grassiness calms down and i am left with a very soft, sweet floral. i can smell the moonflower more now. i was afraid the dragon's blood musk might not work on me, but luckily this scent smells beautiful. i am so glad i decided to get a bottle!

i get a powdery rose from this. i think i am mostly picking up the bulgarian rose, violet leaf and lemon peel. i do sense a touch of honey which softens it a bit, along with the balsam. very pure and sweet. i like rose scents, so this works for me quite well.

this is a very interesting scent. i am having trouble picking out notes! it smells sparkling, that's the only way i can describe it-it reminds me of champagne. i think perhaps it's the combo of white musk + plum/blackberry. however the earthy/vanilla/coconut notes ground the fruit notes and it really doesn't strike me as typically fruity at all. i feel like there is something slightly, softly spicy in here too. this scent is really intriguing-i've never smelled anything quite like it. i wish i could say more, but it's rendering me sort of speechless i will definitely keep my imp of this.

i got a sniffie of this from someone with enough to try. it smells like buttery mints covered in chocolate. very nice for a foody scent, but foody scents aren't really my thing. i am thrilled that i got to try it though

oh man, i had a feeling selkie might be too aquatic for my tastes, but i love all things scottish, so ordered it anyway. it is a very pretty scent-crystal clear water and roses with some other softly-sweet florals(?) added. i really like this scent a lot, but am not sure i would wear it much.

got this as a frimp with my last order. i mostly get strong, strong jasmine. perhaps some dragon's blood and a hint of pepper. reminds me of aries 2007 as bit. my skin really amps jasmine, so i am not so keen on this one.

smells like a pastel bouquet of flowers with a hint of sugar. very springlike! i definitely smell the phlox and daffodil but the other notes are so well blended, i can't pick them out. i can't even smell rose in this. very pretty, i will definitely keep my imp.

i've just got into trying TALs, but one thing i noticed right off the bat is that blinding glory of love bears a striking resemblance to smut. it's like smut with one less component. what that component is, i do not know, but they smelled fairly similar to me.

yep smells like warm vanilla with mint. the vanilla turns a bit plasticky and it kind of smells like a candle with my skin chemistry. still, i kind of like it. i dont love it but i do like it. i may keep my imp and wear it from time to time.

i am not a big foody scent fan, but i love bordello and this is in the same vein, so i figured i'd give it a try. it smells a lot like bordello but more girlish and less sexy to me. perhaps it's the absence of the wine. i get an almost plastic note that i often do with these sort of scents, when i smell it closely. however, it smells great wafting up from my arm. i still like bordello better with my skin chemistry, but i'll probably keep my decant anyway.

ooh i really like this one. when i first put it on i get pure, clear, amber. as it dries a musky-vanilla comes out with some sort of spice possibly. or maybe it's just a spice? bpal's vanilla doesn't generally smell like vanilla on me at all, but this smells how i imagine it SHOULD smell. it reminds me of snake oil, but the vanilla in that turned powdery on me. this is richer and spicier on my skin. perhaps it has cinnamon or clove, but i can't really pick out notes. it's very sexy and warm, and i think i may need a big bottle of it!

this is very deep and dark, as the name/description implies. i immediately smell the vetiver (yay), some kind of musky scent and the cedarwood (boo!) cedar does that pencil shaving thing on my skin, and besides that something underneath is going weirdly sour. i dont think i can wear this one, unfortunately.

i got a partial of this as a frimp from someone it's very light, very grassy and i definitely smell the dandelion. a very light, pretty summery scent. not something i would wear a lot, but once in awhile i might put it on.

ooooh i find this really sexy! it's warm, musky and powdery with a floral that seems closest to orchid to me. it's rosey but in a different way than i associate with most bpal rose scents. it's less crisp and more warm somehow. it is very perfumey, and reminds me of another perfume i've smelled at one time. i quite like it and might try to hunt down a bottle someday.

ooh i like this. it's a fresh, light spring floral. very clear and a bit sweet. the violet is subtle and adds a slight powdery touch, the apple blossom adds a touch of sweetness, but it's not TOO sweet. i dont get much rose, if any at all. this floral is very well blended, i cant really pick out the notes that well.

in the imp this smells a bit sharp and sweet with the tobacco to ground it. on my skin i get a semi-masculine musky-powdery scent. not sure what it is but i don't really think it's agreeing with my skin chemistry. i almost feel like there is a slight floral here too, but cant place it. i wish it was more leathery and less powdery on my skin, but alas it is not!

i had no doubt in my mind that i would love this, and i was correct. it's a smooth vanilla-amber-clove scent with a hint of musk. it's absolutely beautiful, and there is almost something floral about it to me, but not sure what that is. i would LOVE a big bottle of this, if it's even possible!

wow i love this one. it's slightly musky and ambery but with a cleanness to it. i dont get much leather though and i wish i did! the pepper and incense add a nice spiciness and depth. this scent is sexy and warm but comforting at the same time.
