I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am afraid of ozone, so definitely nothing I'd love. The other ingredients seemed ok by me so I pried open the imp (durn new caps).

Just sniffing the wand I feel like I'm in a Victoria's Secret. There's something almost cucumbery-floral about this, and it seems a lot like a traditional perfume.

On my wrist it is very floral. I don't smell the jasmine at all, and white musk is what makes things feel "generic" for me. Moonflower is really dominant. I think those who like pale florals willl really enjoy this, but jasmine fans like myself might pout, unless this changes.

This strikes me genuinely as a "real woman's perfume." You know, full makeup, pearls, a beautiful dress. I am tempted to send it to my mother, who smelled like this when she'd lean in and kiss me goodnight before going out.

Yes, I will send this to my mother. Maybe it will make her smile.

My preconceptions about this blend were that it was going to be a lavendery-citrus with a dominant frankincense note. I could almost "picture the scent in my mind" if you will.

This blend is actually pretty subdued (maybe that's part of the deprivation angle). This just smells like darkness to me- there's nothing bright that jumps out, everything just sulks in the background making a really compact little cloud of mustiness.

It's a great blend for representing "ominous" and "dark forces biding their time... waiting, watching.."

but I think the overall effect is a bit too muted on me. Really, it's like the oil is holding back deliberately.

How... strange. Appealing but strange.

I would love if this worked for me, as I could certainly use the money and freedom from want. The first good effect this has had is that I don't want any more. That saves me a few bucks right here.

On my wrist it is REALLY sweet cherry. Smells like a cross between a jolly rancher and a throat losange. The cherry has an undercurrent of ... honey? something herby?

I don't sense any of the background notes behind the cherry that everyone else has. No vanilla or almond here.

The lollypop just sort of sits there on my skin.

Wow, on my wrist when I first apply this it's an instant blast of bergamot and then a sweet lemon candy aroma. I get a hint of amber and then this hovers decidely somewhere between tart/sour and sugar coated. It smells like a Lemon Drop. I am getting absolutely none of the darker elements, which is sad because I like every ingredient here.

After a bit of a drydown I do get the herby/woodsy aroma from this. The sandalwood comes out and dominates, with a bit of a lemon backdrop. It's sweet in a very natural way.

It's getting muskier and a bit more, hm... kind of a sickly sweet, resinous scent.

I don't like how this is changing on me.

It finalizes in a somewhat stinky, somewhat resinous and sweet place.

Just opening the imp to sniff this left a glorious smell on my fingers. It's definitely orchid, but almost an orchid candy. It's like violet candy as a representation of violet.

On my skin it stays true. Wet, it's very strong, but doesn't get up my nose the way many florals can. It's barely a floral for me because, well, I LIKE it. It's the kind of floral that's slinky and purple and smells like a dimly lit room with heavy velvet curtains. It reminds me of some kinds of sweet incense.

Oh god, this'd make a lovely bath scent. It reminds me so much of BPAL jasmine, and of Lush's Fairy Jasmine. It's not obnoxiously present. I can smell it when I lean in a bit, but it's not carrying too far. I feel like I should be wearing something slinky and seductive.

At least I'm wearing purple.

I could smell this the second I uncorked the imp. PINE.

I feel like I must have a headcold because the strong scent of what really resembles Eucalyptus has filled up this room.

On my wrist it makes my nose sting with it's sharp, peppery aroma. The berry seems to be trying to fight its way through, but is being beaten into submission.

The drydown on this is actually rather pleasant: it's a sweet berry with a bit of spicy Christmas tree overtop. It's almost smells like fennel as well.

While this was very strong at first, it gets sucked into my skin very quickly.

An hour later I smell sweet berries and powder. It's almost as though a blackcurrant is in here. If this was the starting aroma I'd be sold!

On my skin this is like floral cherry lollypop. It seems like it could have dragon's blood in it. I definitely do smell iris.

As it dries this smells somewhat like a soap, too. Soap, and something spicy. Something that reminds me of Indian food.

As time passes the iris becomes truer and very pungent. It flares up suddenly.

I just slathered this on my skin and it's really faint.

As it very gently wafts from my wrist it reeks of honey. It's an herbal honey, not spicy at all, or even musky. I was really expecting to smell the patchouli and myrhh.

Ah, it just kicked up all of a sudden!

This smells similar to Honey Moon on me, frankly. I think the florals are the second sharpest note. It smells like really decadent women's body powder, like a honey dusting powder. Actually, if you've ever tried Kama Sutra's honey dusting powder it's kind of like that.

I was having a big "I love honey" phase this summer, but it's passed with the beginning of fall and winter. I think I would like this in August.

I'll have to ammend this review if anything changes, but I think it's just going to hang out in honey-land.

This is sweet and green like honeydew melon ice cream, and I'd know- In my high school years I worked in an exotic ice cream shop and we made this flavor . It's definitely a pleasantly fruity scent. Oh, I really do like this buttery aspect it has. This seems like an ideal springtime scent. It's light and cheery and pale green.

As it lingers on my arm it begins to smell a bit more like lime sherbert. It's very tart, but still with that sweet creamy undertone.

I like it!

Wow, this really is like sitting in a rocking chair smelling the sweet scent of baking mingled with a warm fire and the Christmas tree. All of the notes are independent instead of mingling. I definitely don't smell some sort of combination of the perfumes, they really do just sort of sit next to each other.

The first smell is definitely the sweet buttery-rum aroma. The smoke and the pine layer nicely in the background.

It's not overly sweet thanks to the smoke and pine, which I like.

I am definitely keeping this as a room scent, but I don't want to wear it. It just feels too much like wearing potpourri. It's got cinnamon, apple, and really smells a lot like ribbon candy to me, like passing my face over a nice box of the stuff.

It really is pleasant and warming, but does smell like crafts store at Christmas time.

An imp is really enough for me!

I just don't understand it, all of the ingredients are something I like and have worked for me in the past, but together on my skin this is scary.

It's somehow like body odor and something medicinal/sickly at the same time. I also get a strong sense of a fake/plasticky cinnamon.

The body odor reminds me of the way dragon's blood can react on my skin when mixed with some ingredients. It's almost spicy, but not quite. Resinous is also not quite the right term.

I do know that in my attempt to understand this blend I've sniffed it far more than I'd like and really, I'd prefer to be scrubbing my wrists and not going in for another sniff.

From a distance I get something soapy, like Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

I thought Aquolina's Pink Sugar was sweet, but it was a sweet I could handle. Same with Pink Moon. Pink Phoenix, on the other hand, is so sweet my eye is twitching.

It's definitely those strawberry candies that actually come in the red shiny wrappers printed so they look like strawberries. They kind of squish when you bite into them.

I am not sure I can handle that inside goo all over my wrist.

There's definitely a kick in here that reminds me of baby powder as well. I smell somewhat like a Strawberry Shortcake doll when I'm wearing this.

Much more so than Strawberry Moon.

Woah there! On my skin the fir amps up to 100% and all I can smell is CHRISTMAS TREEEEEEEEEE!

screaming from my wrist. Underneath is a bit of a teasing orange scent, strange because of the florals in this.

The strong fir scent dominates for a long time, and finally I begin to smell something resembling the florals in here. :>

They are still pale and in the background. I even took a walk with this under the december moon to see if it'd help (ok, I was walkiing my dogs)

It might make a good winter room scent, but not for me on my skin!

This smells a lot like eggnog to me- very sweet and creamy. It does have a bit of a caramel undertone but there's definitely something plasticky in there too, on my skin.

Oh man, now there's caramel corn, toffee and... huh. If this were combined with Midway the whole carnival would truly be present.

Midway, yeah, this is definitely a cousin of that. It doesn't morph on my skin at all so it's pure caramel candy toffee.

I am just about to go to church with my in-laws, so I searched out my untried MM to apply beforehand.

Definitely smells like Catholic Church incense... frankincense, myrhh. Woodsy earthy goodness...

It's somber and respectful. You know, you can order the same incense catholic chirches burn and we used to burn it in our apartment because my husband loved that smell so much. The kind we bought had to be placed in an urn and then it smouldered away, filling our house with too much smoke.

I made my husband smell it because the incense is one of his weak spots, and he agreed it was right on. I am unsure whether I like this better as a room scent or a perfume.

It does seem to fade on me faster than I'd like, but that's nothing new.

Oh my god, this is perfect. I always tried to capture the essence of candy cane via Peppermint essential oil but I'm realizing now how insufficient that was.

This is the smell of the Body Shop's peppermint shampoo, which I'd huff every time I got the chance, but wasn't suited to my hair type. It is pure candy cane bliss. It smells exactly the way candy canes taste to me.

I'm so glad I tried this tonight when I am engaging in Christmas festivities anyway.

God, I need to buy up bottles of this so I can use it as a room scent and a body lotion spiker.

I just can't believe after trying to capture this scent, which seems so _basic_ , so many times I finally found it.

Oh my lord, wet I could lick this (and it's not even Lick It!) It's all vanilla with slight musks and a hint of amber. Mmmmm

As it dries this becomes more of a traditional perfume with a lovely sweet undertone. I accidently applied a ton of this to my wrist and I'm not sorry I did. It's comforting right now, when I am in a bit of a sad mood. It still smells a bit of.. well, it could be the day but.. christmas cookie. There's defintiely something doughy about it.

It's very unique on me, actually... god, I do smell something almost charcoalish underneath as time passes. I want to douse myself in this more and it's such an ethereal scent I don't think I'd bother anyone.

Well, I have to admit that this smells the closest to actual rose of any BPAL scent I have ever tried. It does smell just like leaning in on a fresh bouquet of vivid, dewey red roses. I love roses, so the smell is a welcome one in general, just not in a perfume.

So gahhh my arm smells like roses. Beautiful roses. I expected nothing less, and now I shall go wash it off.

I smell blackberry, really. Smells just the same to me as most blackberry-scented products do. It's definitely a sweet, dark colored berry, very juicy. I am wondering if this'll change or remain so straight-forward.

Nope, it's still somewhat berry-potpourri. Very bright, sweet, and strong.

Well, Cosmos are my favorite cocktail (that I can order anywhere, i.e. that wasn't an experiment.)

This kind of smells the way yellow/gold gummy bears taste. It's that same sort of citrusy/fruity aroma.

It also smells like oranges mixed with balsam. I've never _sniffed_ a cosmo, but I do have maybe one per month.

There's definitelty something herby/spicy about this.

Actually, it seems somewhat festive to me. The balsam is making me feel like "deck the halls" and "fa la la"

The fruits, well, fruits are in keeping with the holiday spirit.

I like this, but don't love it, just as I expected.

ETA- my husband said "Sweet Tarts" when he smelled this.

I am getting a really strong "lemon drop" scent from this when it's wet. It's sweet lemons and sugar mixed with vodka. I also sense a bit of mustiness underneath. It reminds me of a lemon cleaning product I have- perhaps because the cleaning product is basically essential oils and alcohol.

As Jazz Funeral dries on my wrist it's a bit more like a Lipton tea with lemon. I'm still feeling confused by the ingredients list.

Ah, there is the funeral smell. Spanish moss, definitely, something cold, and a bit of dirt. All of it soaked in that lemony-tea aroma.

Can't say I like it, but "interesting olfactory journey".

Ok, this is weird. I have not liked a single BPAL blend with rose in it, so I had no hopes at all for this. I also tend not to like dragon's blood. However, I am pleasantly surprised. This is a musky cherry with a definite hint of real rose behind it.

It's a pleasant, dusky fragrence.

While I'd never wear this habitually, I don't dislike it, and that's a step!

As it dries, the muskiness and rose increase in strength and the cherries fade.

An hour later I am getting generic rose again.

I smell soapy soap and then something fruity. There could be a hint of cinnamon in here as well. It starts out as a really mixed blend but becomes extra super soapy really quickly.

It also grows faint really quickly on my skin.

More soap.

Wow, soapier. Somewhat like lavender soap. Hand soap in a hotel.

Truly a fresh smell! I wish I could find mopping solution in this scent It's like cucumbers and pine. I do get something slightly musky in here, and it darkens the fragrence so "Night" seems pretty apt.

Ah, ok as this dries it becomes lemony, so now I am getting fresh greens, pine, and lemon.

It gets somewhat powdery when it dries, but mostly it's lemon, pine, and a bit of musk. :>
