Scylla

So far this is my favorite! I can't stop sniffing my wrist! Can't wait for DH to get home to give me his opinion of it. It's a very lush, sensuous, seductive scent. I can also see how it evokes "hippy shops," because it did that to me at first also. I'm definitely getting a bottle of this. However, I can't really see myself wearing it to work. Update: Um, maybe not. DH HATED it after drydown yesterday, and hated it even more today when I applied it after showering. It was 45 degrees out and he drove with the car windows open because he didn't like the way I smelled! He said I smelled like a powdery, rosey old lady!

My apologies to Beth, who very generously included this sample with my order, but at first sniff from the vial it smelled very strong and brought to mind the scent of a urinal cake! Wet, it kind of smelled like a peachy "foo foo" drink. Syrupy sweet and fruity. On drydown it stays very, very candy-sweet, but now I detect the amber, heliotrope and sandalwood as well. After a few hours of dry down it has become a light fruity/vanilla scent. The more it dries down and fades away, the more I like it!

I just love how these fragrances smell different on different people's body chemistries! In the bottle, yes, it is pure, unadulterated chocolate! On me, the main note that "pops" out is nutty (hazelnut?), followed by chocolate, but is definitely very "foody." I like it and will probably buy a 5 ml bottle. My six year old daughter absolutely LOVED it.

In the vial, the first thing I smelled was chocolate, but on me I don't smell it at all. The myrrh and sandalwood are all I smell. I agree with Pandorra on this one. This scent reminds of of dusty old (velvet?)clothing in a long abandoned attic. You're going to laugh, but on drydown the image/feeling it evoked for me was the "Haunted Mansion" at Walt Disney World!!! The more I sniff my wrist, the more it grows on me, though.

Got my first order today! Unfortunately, my imp's ear of Zephyr was broken at the top of the vial, but it still had about 1/2 of the precious contents in it. As such, this is the one I had to test first. At first whiff...it reminded me of Coppertone suntan lotion. I can also smell why someone else mentioned Sweet Honesty. On drydown...the sharp "Sweet Honesty" note (which I believe is neroli) is gone, and it has faded down to a lovely, soft white floral with citrusy accents with a hint of musky powder. This would definitely be a good spring or summer perfume, and will definitely be on my "10 ml list." This turned out to be my favorite of all the imps I ordered.

Woke up this morning to a tracking notice from USPS that my order was shipped yesterday! That means my order is OFFICIALLY on its' way! WooooooooHooooooo!!! P.S.--I ordered on 3/16, in case anyone is trying to determine where in the queue they are.

Ow, ow, ow!!! I feel your pain. I had an IUD inserted last May and although I have had children (although by c-section) the dilation and IUD insertion still hurt like hell!!! Hope you're feeling better soon, and that the IUD will work out better for you. I love not having to take a pill every day. Laurin
