    Snake Oil

My imp of Snake Oil is aged, so it carries a deeper scent. This is sexy, spicy vanilla... reminds me quite a bit of Tombstone with a bite to it!

    Snake Charmer

In the imp: Vanilla and spices! On my skin: This is very alluring. Deep, rich vanilla and smoky spice. It's just as sexy as everyone says.

    Voodoo Queen

In the imp: I agree with the people that said there was vetiver in this. It actually smells a bit like... and wow, weird association for my mind to make... but it smells slightly like dill. On my skin: A little spicy, a little flowery. It's hard to detect exact notes in this one. Incense, maybe? I have aged Snake Oil on the other side of my hand, and I'd compare the two easily, with Voodoo Queen being a bit more floral. Very glad to try this one! It's one of those I'll never find more than a sniffy of (without having to pay a LOT of money), so I'll content myself by keeping the rest of this one and being glad I even got to try it at all.

    Smut

In the bottle: Dark booze and sugar and sex. On my skin: The booze is even stronger now, but it's a subdued smell, not sharp like most alcoholic notes seem to be. Warm, sexy, musky. Sex on a leather couch after a few drinks. Mmm Smut. I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

    Monster Bait: Closet

In the imp: Cake. Delicious cake. Red velvet and blackberries. On my skin: Buttery with a hint of berries. Very foody, in the way that keeps you sniffing your wrist for a long time after you've put it on! Definitely something I'd want more of.

    Beaver Moon 2005

In the imp: Strawberries and cheesecake. Must not drink. Must not drink. On my skin: *moans* Strawberry frosting and cinnamon and cheesecake. If I could eat my wrist, I would, because seriously. This is foody and delicious, absolutely the sweetest... I can't even continue the review. Excuse me while I nom on myself.

    Serpent's Kiss

In the imp: Vetiver. We're not friends, but you like the wife, so I figured I'd give you a shot anyway and if you didn't work out, you'd go to her. Well, you're still kind of a bitch. You'd probably slit my tires, if given the chance. You strike me as that type. On my skin: The dry-down is... strangely pleasant, if you can get past the initial reaction of 'oh, wow, that's SCARY strong!' I smell spice. Lots of spice. And something cold. It's not a friendly scent.

    Black Lace

In the imp: Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. With sugar. Mmm. On my skin: Soft, lilting vanilla. This is a beautiful scent, sweet and smoky at the same time. As it dries, the vanilla deepens, and I can catch a note of the incense.

    Voodoo

In the imp: Ugh, pure vetiver. Not a fan of you at all, but I'll give you a try anyway. On my skin: At first, it's still just vetiver. After a few minutes have passed, it dries into more of a vanilla and pine mixture. The more I sniff, the more I can catch whiffs of almond. Spicy in a dark way.

    Hecate

In the imp: It's a fizzy, sweet smell, like almonds and champagne. An unusual combination, but it works! On my skin: The almond is still the strongest note I can detect, but there's also a hint of cinnamon, as well. Spicy and sweet at the same time. Not at all what I expected, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

    Anne Bonny

In the imp: Very strong. This is a scent that demands respect! On my skin: It smells like ocean water, which makes... quite a bit of sense. Smoke. Old leather and books. This is one of the best ones I've tried so far.

The High Priest Not To Be Described

In the imp: Musky and light. Very much an 'incense' smell. On my skin: This is one of my absolute favorite scents, hands down. It's musky vanilla and gummy worms combined. I'm not sure what it says about my skin that I amp the smell of gummy worms, but I don't care, I will wear this one until there's nothing left and most likely invest in a bottle. To prove my point, I shoved my wrist under my girlfriend's nose and said, "See? SEE? GUMMY WORMS!" I got a solemn nod in return. Oh, well. There are worse things to smell like than candy.

    Santo Domingo

In the imp: Flowery, but somehow still masculine. On my skin: The spicy, warm bay rum and the strong floral creates a mixture that blends strangely well.

    Baron Samedi

A notorious voodoo priest, who eventually rose to become one of the funereal Guédés, alongside Baron Cimitère and Baron La Croix. He is a Guardian of the Crossroads: the pathways between our world and the realm of the spirits. As a Master of the Graveyard, he ensures that burial rites are performed with skill, and he helps ferry souls to the dark realm. In his honor, we have created this scent: our spin on traditional Bay Rum. Baron Samedi In the imp: A hint of Bay Rum, spice and something else. I can't place it. It's a bit too earthy for me. On my skin: Cigarette ashes and swamp water. I wanted to like you, Baron Samedi, but I don't think you're the scent for me.

    The Torture Queen

In the imp: Very clean, cool chrome. I can smell the gardenia, easily, and the vanilla is perfection. On my skin: Metallic in a sultry way. The white tea is stronger now, replacing the vanilla note almost entirely. This is a very pretty scent, without any hints of sweetness; feminine, but with an edge that I love. I'd invest in a bottle of this in a heartbeat. The best part is, Illustrated Woman is on the other side of my hand, so I have both attractions together!

    Bon Vivant

In the imp: It reminds me of a strawberry wine cooler. Fruity, with a hint of something alcoholic. On my skin: I agree entirely with the person above me, that said it smells like the strawberry candies made to look like actual strawberries. That's the first thing I thought of after the dry-down. It's sweet, soft, something to wear when you're going out with friends. Not a 'date' scent by any means, but great for those times you just want something simple and fun to wear.

    Highwayman

In the imp: I wanted so badly to like this one. But as soon as I smelled it, I thought... dog food. It smelled like dog food. And a tool store. I have to say, I was a bit disheartened. Vetiver and I do not get along. On my skin: Now that it's been about an hour and a half since I put it on, it's nowhere near as potent as it was before. I can smell the rose and the leather. To put it frankly, it smells like cheap sex in a motel bed. Now, considering that I bought this one solely because it reminded me of a certain stubbly Winchester man, I can't say that's an entirely bad scent to wear. But there's very little romance and a whole lot of testosterone in this.

    Frumious Bandersnatch

In the imp: The musk and the chrysanthemum seem to be the strongest notes. On my skin: Plums and potpourri. It's sweet, but it isn't something I'd want to wear often.

    Miskatonic University

In the imp: Chocolate and coffee. Yummy chocolate and coffee. On my skin: ...gummy worms and chocolate and coffee and breakfast. How can it be so many notes at one time? It's insane! And now that it's dried down, I can smell the Irish coffee. I'll compare this one to Eat Me, Miskatonic University's exact opposite: if Eat Me is cake and vanilla, this is alcohol and chocolate. This is a weird one. Fitting, for the theme.

    The Illustrated Woman

In the imp: Patchouli. Lots and lots of patchouli, to the point where I couldn't smell much else. Patchouli is nice, but here's to hoping that it amps something else, instead! On my skin: I knew there was a scent I couldn't quite place when I first sniffed it on my skin. After reading the notes again, I realized... tobacco! Definite tobacco. My grandfather used to keep packs of the stuff around and that's what I think of when I smell it. There's also the smoky quality that's mentioned, hints of vanilla that are deep instead of sweet. A definite hint of pine swirled in there. I'd say those are the three strongest notes on my skin. Very nice. Not for me (which works out well, as it is a gift for someone else) but very nice, on the right person.

    Mr. Nancy

Mr. Nancy This one is being swapped out tomorrow, so I figured I'd write a quick review on it before it gets packaged up with the others. In the imp: Cookies and citrus! A combination that shouldn't work, but somehow does. On my skin: The sugar cookie is wonderful; soft, sweet and buttery, a nice foody scent that isn't overpowering. And the lime adds a kick to it that makes me grin. I loved Anansi Boys, and this absolutely does Mr. Nancy justice.

    Jailbait

Jailbait In the imp: ...this is... interesting. It's bubblegum, without a doubt, but there's also something spicy that gives it a fun, flirtatious and slightly sexy hint. On my skin: It fades from bubblegum to pure sugar and spice. It's playful and yummy, cute without being too cute. I was put off by the sweetness, at first, but I'd definitely invest in more of this now that I know what the dry-down is like.

    Eos

Eos In the imp: Sweet and floral. This is a very, very feminine scent, invoking images of springtime and the flowers that bloom outside in the miniature garden by my front door. On my skin: Honeysuckle. Completely. There is no other scent, there is only flower, flower, flower, which I love!
  24. sirensea

    Whip

Whip In the imp: Rose with something dark entwined. Mmm leather. On my skin: This is deep and a little sadistic, the heady scent of pleasure mixed with pain. I love how the leather isn't overwhelming, but instead a compliment to the rose. This imp was another gift from the wife. She has the 'match' to it, Loviatar. I don't think I need to say more.

    Giant Vulva

Giant Vulva In the imp: This smells strongly of honey and sugar. I, uh, don't particularly want to say the scent is true to life, but I can definitely smell the skin musk! On my skin: I'm so glad I bought an imp of this, and have another on the way. It's sugary and sweet without being too sweet; this is the warm, sticky afterglow after a fun romp. I have Torture Queen on the back of my hand next to it, and now my mind is wandering to car sex. Thank you, chrome note. Of course the one named Giant Vulva is the one that I decide I want more of.
